What's everyone's favourite desktop oil vaporizer and why?

Hey guys, got the itch to start researching a new vape purchase again. What does everyone like for desktop oil vape tools?

I used to use an HE domeless nail, but I got tired of the...negative comments the torch setup seems to draw. So I switched to the VapeXnails and love them. I need to get a whip still to use it with smaller bubblers, I feel like with bubblers, there may be a better option (the whip is going to get very coated in residue overtime).

So, tell me guys your favourites! FYI, I am very aware of the features of most of them (D-Nail, Sublimator, VapeXnails, DabJoy, etc) so I'm not really looking for a run down of the product, just what you use and why you like it (maybe some reasons why you like it over other oil vapes you've owned/ own).

I should also tell you, I'd be looking to use this with rigs, and sometimes standard glass pieces (like my hydrafoot). Right now, I'm leaning towards an Analog D-Nail since to my knowledge, it can sit nicely on mini rigs.

Just got volcano digit , love it , being a cigarette/weed smoker for nearly 30 years it's much easier on lungs and I'm sure I'm getting way higher

Haha sorry man, we're talking about oil vapes here. I'm well covered on flower vapes already ;)

I'm love my VB2 Multi Converter. Its still in beta, although covered by warranty, but almost finished with a new heater coming soon. Not sure if I am in the minority or not with the heater issues but when this thing works, its a dream . . . :peace:

My daily dab driver is my EVO/VXN... though I occasionally will pull out my Ti nail/bubbler rig when I want a different spectrum hit - usually as low as I can vape through it.

I've used glass nails, quartz castle domeless, and Ti with dome, and for a torch rig, I'm still happy with the Ti for some reason. At the market, I get to try various kinds of oil rigs, and the eNail on about 650F is pretty decent, too.

I'd love to try out a VB2, but at that price point, I'm not going to any time soon.

Been using an SSV with oil kit for about two months and still really enjoying it. Haven't used my nail and torch since I got it. It's also one of the least expensive desktop oil vapes I'm aware of. Da Buddha with oil kit is basically the same thing and can be found for even less.

I prefer using a proper oil rig above all else, you just can't beat the flavor/vapor density. Since it sounds like you got that covered the only way you can improve is with an e-nail and a carb cab for those tasty low temp dabs. aliexpress has digital enails (with coil heater) for $120 if you enjoy saving money.

- all glass airpath
- ability to completely clean vaporization surface
- small volume water filtration
- temperature control
- airflow control

These are the things I look for to give me a great oil vape, and other than an oil rig+enail+carb cab I haven't found something to match the quality of the experience.

AliExpress looks pretty cool. Is there any big difference between going through them vs just buying a D-Nail (besides the obvious price differences)? Like, woukd the AliExpress unit, once built, be fairly similar in performance?

Just curious because my situation for building an E-Nail has never been better. My roommate is a computer/ electrical engineer.

I don't personally have a unit from aliexpress, I used this thread to build one. At the time coil heaters alone were $120, now you can get the whole unit including coil heater prebuilt for $120 from aliexpress, or spend a bit more and build your own.

A digital nail will be better than an analog one since it's uses a feedback loop to continuously adjust the power to maintain a set temperature, and the analog one is set power so temps will fluctuate when in use.

I just found this which appears to be a better value since its $70 less than the analog dnail, is digital, and also comes with a nail. However upon reading the description I noticed "Only overshoot 30-40F" and "will drop down 10-25F when you dabing" This can be caused by 2 things, the quality of your PID controller (you get what you pay for), and the values you configure your unit with. My guess is the china guys who sell enails aren't dabbers so they don't really use ideal configuration settings for the PID to deal with overshoot and temp drops. I think the diy one recommends values of P=50, I=10.5, D=2.37.

While it is not here yet, I think I will really enjoy my persei and hammer with 1200f rod for dabs.

Its not fair the Hammer isn't a desktop. But I prefer it over many nails and vaporizers due to its ease of handling nail and convection dabs.

It could be if you use the core pass through system :p

Hey man, if that's what you like at home, then please tell me!

I just said desktop since I usually dab at home and prefer desktop units, but anything that's good, may as well tell me!
