Also another question: How do you control the temp with a medium or longer stem or whip??? I always tend to bake my stuff at higher temperatures when using them and end up with a lot of black ABV and harsh taste. I can't tell how hot it is because for me when vapor comes to the end of the tube it's always rather cold while the trench blackens my stuff.
sounds like you are combusting...but you say you cant feel if its hot or not? mhmm thats odd, make sure you arnt grinding too fine you dont want it to be like powder or else it will burn in a heartbeat...i find i like to grind medium grade grind and fill the trench just below the top of the screen. make sure that the grind is right try that and get back to me
I feel it's actually over-cooking and not combustion because there are no traces of ash on the trench or even some resin. About the temperature now... I wonder if everyone has the same feeling of the temp in their mouths or it depends on the individual. When using the medium stem the temp seems lookwarm in my mouth. When native it gets a little hot but I like it. When I try with a straw the length is so big that vapor cools down before it enters the mouth so you don't have any feeling of the temp... Any thoughts?
Well you stated that its going black if thats so you are at the point of combusting...its odd you have trouble controling the temperature just breathe in medium strength man, smoother than a joint but not so soft where its getting hot. the lukewarm air is good thats what you want just keep it luke warm and hit it for about 10-15 seconds each hit...oh and another big thing is make sure after everyhit you shake up the herb inside and you brush it out with the brush after each trench, if not those little particles will keep getting smaller and hotter and eventually combust turning you herb black

Actually, grey ashes are signs that you have combusted with your box. If your herb is black and brown mixed then you might get a few harsh tasting hits out of it, but if it looks coal tar black then you should probably dump it out and fill a new trench.

i didn't say he was combusting i said he was at the point of it which means any hotter it would be burning, and im pretty sure if your vaped weed is black theres a problem and you dont know how to use your vape

Today it was all about trying with my medium stem again... Ended up with better controlled vapor flow, more precise dosage, more hits per trench and much less black pieces. Thanks guys!!! Already ordered a couple more stems and a whip for further experimentation from Blissville!

Ordered a MFLB on Friday from blisssville.com and got it yesterday with a hand written note saying my batteris were charged and to enjoy. Nice touch. Works awesome. Thick clouds of vapor within seconds and at least 2 full trenches on one stock batt. No black material for me as a result of reading this thread. Thanks.
Side note, I didnt receive a battery case, should I have? I got the $99 package with the grinder.

What's the delay like on the power adapters?

Picked up a MFLB today, it works great! I love it! I got the hang of it pretty quickly. The dumbass at the headshop told me not to keep the battery pushed in for more than 5 seconds, another headshop in my area wanted $159 for the MFLB!!! Craziness!!!
Is there a way to hide the Blissville return address before it is shipped to your house in case someone picks up your package and googles the address?

I have alot of build up on my stem.. I know you can clean it, but I was wondering if it would be worth while to try and plunge or squeegee it out and use it for something. The stem is a honey color, and when you look through it, it actually looks like a huge build up of trichomes..

Received my MFLB from vaporizer.ca very quickly and anonymously (which I know matters to some of you) and tried it out with the batteries sent with. 30 year smoker, 1st time vaper... I do not know shit about bongs so cannot say whether or not I got "milky hits", but I do know what is important. 1/4 teaspoon of medium ground with a few stems (I was impatient), trench level slightly +, 6 hits and I am where it would take me 8 off an inefficient joint. I will grind it up a little more finely, load it a little less, remove the sticks, charge the batteries, and I am in love.
Long story short, excellent product, love the packaging (tin box), love the customer support and love the forum (my high may or may not be related to over inhalation of Goof Off while cleaning my own batteries).
