Yea i went to a local headshop and the guy didn't realize i had the 7.4 model so it was instantly blowing the carts. I'm just going to wait until the hercs back in stock because i don't like this cheap carts they don't last
Just order the sr71 it's on sale w9 site better off anyways lmo
Then u could just order 74 rod for battery consumption. Just make sure u have assembly right. I'm still running V1 top on sr71 no problems.

@plaze6288 my friend --- yea -- just always be careful with voltage no matter what -- even the 3.7 carts still need a gd feel -- my best 2 ya :)

i suggest wait a drop n grab the sr-74 -- it is amazing !!!!!!!!!!!!! worth it in every way ! IMO worth the wait if in soon :)

I will say --- I am just finally having INCREDIBLE luck n success with the 3.7 rod after only using 7.4 for ever --- now the 3.7 with tasty clouds better than anything ever --i luv it
(I cannot achieve this at 3.7v even with the core !!!! i wish i could get the right batteries to do the trick ?? - I've used the suggested ones.... and if i could use the 3.7v batteries i would be in heaven n take it everywhere even with 7,4 .... !!!!!!!!!! n never even use the core --- but i find at 4.1 and 4.3 v -- and holy shazzz its outa control ! ) n with the 7.4v I like running lower at 6.9 and 7.1 ..????
Lovin it with hammer of course - necessary.. imo

( i wish i could just do different battery configurations :) ) 4.5v -- lol --- 7.7v ... :) )

I just wish the 3.7 ran the rod perfect and the same @ 7.4 with batteries but i just cannot get that part perfect although I know some have -
I'm strictly a core guy now
:) (probably just me :( ) lol

I know this has asked before but all the codes I've tried are not taking. Any coupon codes that work on the w9 site?

How in the world did you misspell your own name lol

no my mailman literally signed my name on my package as if i had received it and spelled my name wrong. They forgot the second 'z' asshole. (i was at work and checked the tracking number when I posted that originally)

I can't figure out if it was installed when I got it.. Does the new button assembly show part of the white plastic?

yessir it should show a mm or so. I'm not entirely sure the screw in the button housing needs to be tightened down entirely such that there is no gap. I stuck a screw driver in mine and turned it til it got hard, then a slight bit more pressure.

You DO still need to squeeze the button harder than what might make you comfortable, but i've gotten consistent strong hits with no misfiring since making sure to press down

but its NOWHERE near how hard i was having to squeeze before, and the hits are MUCH better. I still think pins that went down in a D shape rather than a cylinder would perform best

X2 you need a bit of pressure and for me also adjusting the nuts on the top pin. But it should fire every time

Sorry this is a repost im just eager for help and noticed you seem to have connections to the company.

I doubt you would have shorted the rod,

To test the hercules on a multimeter you would need to set the dial to the horse shoe section on 200 and place the leads together to get the base resistance then use the leads to test the Hercules and get that number then you minus the base number and get your correct resistance.

@masaki whats going on with your unit? I shipped it to you in working condition.

cleaned and assembled the SR-71 for the first time. 1.66ohms on the uptech tester, that seems about right yeah? Now if only my persei top would do something other than blink I'd be on cloud 9!

The second and third generation Persei tops and the hercules requires a gap between the two, if you screw the Herc in to much it will cause the blinking light.

Also the batteries required to run the Hercules are aw Imr not the ones that come in the unit.

its not the hercules my top has been blinking for about a week now on any cartridge or battery. I have a ticket going already thank you though G :>

Absolutely love the construction of the Hercules though, quite fascinating. Clearly a good deal of engineering went into this bad boy. Feels solid, looks sleek, and satisfies that need to tinker in my psyche quite well hehe.

Standing stone faced like a statue.
So if I were to buy a persei and a sr71, which batteries would I need? If I need the aw imr batteries they are sold out on the site, are the 18650 batteries that were used with the cera good enough? (I think I asked this before)

edit: and will the titanium coil fit in the 71, or do I need the other coils that are listed for it? thanks.

so i tested it and i got 2.0, is that correct? Ive been playing with this hercules all day and i cant seem to get it to work, its not blinking or anything it shows it working like the light stays on while i hold down the button except the cartridge just doesnt get warm, i have also gone through the manual and done all the trouble shooting like pulling out the center pin a tiny bit and making sure its not too tight and the batteries, i am using the batteries that came with the persei i have read on this forum that i should upgrade them to AW so they are on the way please any tips will be great. I had it working for the first day or 2 so i have done it before just started wigging out.

actually my top works most the time with my kiss cartridge, but every once in a while it will blink like the cart isnt set up right when it is an impossible to cluck cartridge.. could i of messed my top up? i didnt follow the manual with the batteries i rushed it and charged them out of the box and then used em instead of charging one at a time

EDIT: Could it be that i have a sr 74x upgrade i noticed that it is longer then the previous one but ive been following the instructions on the rod placement and it says the white line should be partially covered, is that true with the 74 x as well even though teh chamber is longer?

Yeah --- I'm having a blink fest !!! It was always like that especially wiry ANYTHING NOT UPTECH ?? with adapter (blink blink blink ) --

now I just use kiss parts and herc 74 -- it always blinked -- but after one or 2 tries its fine -- till the next hit :) -- always worth it and always works out -- (and always use core for voltage control)

unfortunately I may need 2 put a ticket in -- the core seems to now be the crazy blinking culprit - its a blinking party -- yet if i hold the wire just the right way by the core it is ok -- if I move wrong it starts blinking :(

my best 2 all :)

I played with my batteries and tighetend em slightly and my blinking party has come to an end! YAY! Try this, if the battery blinks by its self with no cart, prolly battery.. good luck.

Random Question @THC SCIENTIFIC I want to take this skiing with me, will it be okay in the cold? ill put it in a ziplock bag to avoid direct contact with water, will there be humidity or anything that gets through? Is this a bad idea??

EDIT: And i am back to blinking lights again... god damnit, i didnt change anything! Please help is my top going out or what?????

and its working again... I love it when it works lol

I just gave an hercules a 1st go. WOW! Amazing taste! I aim at 1st for lots of cool downs vs bigger clouds to avoid reclaiming the bottom chamber. I like pulsing; it gives me a feeling of control.

Now I gunked all the inside of my top chamber while loading it. I dont know whats my best option there; force the metal washer in anw? Do an iso qtips wash upside down? Try to melt it down with a torch blowing for afar? Or? Tx for words of advice

use a lighter on the top of it til it melts down most the way, they use a wire brush to clean it before you put the cap on.

Btw my herc is now working like a champ, hopefully it stays on or i think the top is wiggin out considering kiss carts mess up occasionally.
