How do you guys clean your wands? Do you guys just rinse it with water and dry it with a paper towel?

I've owned the LSV for a few months now and have only tried it with a bong once, didn't go to well as I didn't know how fast to draw or what temp to set it at. On a scale from 1-10, how would you guys rate the LSV alone with the wand, vs the LSV with a waterpipe/bong? Does it really get you much higher?

I fill it with 91% Iso, and cover each end with a thumb or finger... I shake vigorously and dump, then repeat with hot water and a squirt of dish soap.
I dump that and rinse with hot water, then use a shopvac or any vacuum cleaner to suck the wand completely dry.

like vitolo I use 91% iso.
sometimes I will let it soak in iso overnight in a zip lock bag.
then I use disk soap and hot water.
I use an electric duster (similar to canned air) to dry my stuff. (love that thing)

IMO water vs direct draw is about the same.
some say you loose a little because its filtered through water. maybe idk..

what matters a lot more than that is your technique.
once you have total control of your vape tool you will start to produce exceptional results.

personally I prefer long slow hits to produce thick dense vapor. (set your temp accordingly)
ymmv.

My heater cover screen is loose and I can't seem to get it to pop into place.
I don't want anything falling onto the heating element.

tips?

Dhgate: Get the bong with a female joint that you like, sunshine store is the most popular seller. They have great bubblers also but I think taller is better with the lsv.

Screen: The included pick (should be pinned in the bag if you haven't found it) works well for positioning it.

Yeah I used the pick but the screen has a bit of play.

You could measure it and try a slightly larger size screen when it needs replacing, the issue becomes that it becomes harder to insert as it gets bigger and if it's too big it will crease.

I ordered from vapor nation but they said i need to provide a picture of the card used containing the last four digits on the card only because the card was flagged as unverified (probably due to a billing address mistake).

Is this safe and for what reason is it done?

Really like the look of this vape, I think it will be next on my list for sure. Would be my first mains vaporiser. I like my vaporisers to have a mostly or all glass air way and this looks perfect.

Not really much of a bong man personally but I think if I got this I'd have to get myself a bong to suit. Will probably keep an eye on this thread for the coming months.

I've never been asked to take a pic of a card online and I've done tons of transactions.

sounds fishy to me but it might be okay, IDK.
I would just ask to use a different card.

I strongly prefer all glass air path as well.

The WPA is a must if you buy this.

do you guys remove the transfer wand after each hit?
do you tilt it up so your material doesn't fall onto the heater cover?

Just got mine... looks great!

can you just fire it up out of the box? will it take longer to heat up the first time than it will after?

Some 50 pages back or more in this thread, someone posted a neat trick that I use everyday to improve quality of life while using my LSV. I too worried about herbs dropping into my heater while using the wand. This led to me constantly holding the LSV out in front of me while hitting it. Slap an EQ screen in your 1/2 wayish packed wand, and voila, no more worries.

I also find that I only need to actually stir once per wand using this method, as a couple of firm taps on my hand with the screen in place allows the herb to stir itself. Now I lay down on the couch or do whatever I want without fear of dropping herbs into my precious LSV.

I tried the above technique, but with smaller loads, like 1/4 full, I found my bud flying around inside the wand and it wouldn't vape properly so............I always use my LSV inverted.

Correct. 1/2 or more full works great. Without packing too tight i usually fill the gap created between the 2 screens. For someone who doesn't use super small loads this works. But I experienced the same as lwien with smaller loads.

I wonder how it would work if the heat was turned way up? What you describe is known in coffee-roasting circles as fluid-bed roasting, it's preferable to drum roasting because the beans are suspended in hot air.
