The Lotus Vaporizer

That's what I call a stretch of a load! Never tried this but will for sure.

At almost 37 now I still like my clouds big and dense. I really like the sensations the thick vapor gives me coming out of my nose slowly while exhaling. And people usually say I look like 25-28 so…
Some times I like to take it easy as well and stretch my load as much as I can, usually while watching some show or movie. I would love a Vapman for those times of the day. But I don't find it very discreet. Stealthier than the Lotus, yes but not by much. Lighter is always noisy so it depends on the situation. Two many clicks with the Vapman to get those sequences. A beach yes. A movie theater no for example. That's why I have ordered myself an Indica. For those stealthy occasions… Until I get a Crafty that is with it's tasty convection vapor like the Lotus… :p With the Lotus stealth means a two minute visit at the restroom and be done in no time! And I have done it so many times… :D

There is no real stealthy butane vape now as far as I'm concerned. I'm sure the indica is much better in truly public use. But since you haven't yet used the Vapman you can't reasonably compare it to your lotus.

It is much more discreet than the lotus, Hands Down. Also only takes one click and 4 seconds on a torch per hit after the first which you would know if you had used one. 2-3 seconds more and it hits nearly as big as the lotus. Until you taste a vapman or for that matter a crafty you don't know what either tastes like.

Throughout your posts it seems to me You always assume a lot of negatives about vapes you yourself have never used and push your love of the lotus. I own two lotus vapes along with most others i post about and If I don't own them I have used them and/or have regular access to them.

I generally have used the vapes i talk about. Otherwise when I compare two vapes I'm just Farting in the wind.

Edit; I'll fully admit the lotus on my orbiter is one of the quickest biggest hitting vapes i own and lots of fun to boot but then it's not an on-the-go portable when used that way.

If you tried more you would know not all conduction based vapes taste the same just as not all convection based vapes taste pure ...

lotus, its destined purpose unfulfilled, weeps silently in the drawer... poor hippie looks at it with misty eyes... fading memory of the sweet, green wonder unite the two... poor hippie has another bite off a magical mushroom, soothingly whispering "this will have to do... this will have to do for now, dear, beautiful lotus" and repeating it into eternity...

I checked on a mountaineering website and people there said that they had used lighters at 9000 ft. You definitely have to keep it stored in an inner pocket to keep it warm. They also said that the flame has to be turned higher due to the lower oxygen content at that altitude. But...no personal experience.
A buddy told me a coal out of his woodstove about the size of a oyster crackers works with his Lotus when he's over 10'000 feet;) The pressure goes really weird with lighters if you get too far over that because the atmosphere is getting to be almost as thin as the goddamn butane

Good first post. Visualizing this blows me away. Would be a two person job. One getting the hit while another puffs on the amber to keep it hot.
 Taking turns sucking and blowing.....

What's up with you buddy? I already accepted the fact that the Vapman is stealthier… Just not so much by my standards and usage. I live in Greece, you live in the US most probably, different lifestyle, different place, different situations, we are all different. As you come and say that you prefer your Vapman over the Lotus, I come and say that I prefer the Lotus. I don't need to test the VM to say my opinion cause I have read too much about it and I also have friends that have described to me the Vapman ways. If a few people say their opinion I can sure use their knowledge to state an opinion. We all do it every day. And if you don't like my opinion load the Vapman and relax. Let me fart in the wind please… I like it that way, less smelly. :)

A taste on the tongue
The lotus took me a while to get to grips with but it's really worth it.

I can get good flavour easy not solo quality but good all the same. Just put some jacks cleaner through it filled the bowl and slow vaped it. It shrunk to a small pile and now I feel great.

As I said not long after getting the Lotus the Solo is like an automatic gearbox car and the Lotus is a manual and if you get it right it's truly rewarding. It's so much more involved than rolling a joint that's for sure@

I think we should start distinguishing taste/flavor from aromas in this forum… Taste/flavor you feel it with your tongue. The aromas are sensed by the nose. Different things. I think bigger loads will usually give better taste as well in the same or different vaporizers as the clouds are denser and the tongue receives much more stimuli. Like more salt, less salt. More terpenes, less terpenes.
Where convection wins in my mind is aromas… And Lotus or the Hot Pod or the T1 or the Firefly always smelled better than any of the conduction vapes I tried.
Exhaling from a nice Lotus hit is an experience that the Solo could only much when I paired it with a Vapor Lung and used it in pure convection mode!

My first vaporizer was the MFLB, then I got a solo. I gave the MFLB to a friend because I believe vaping is so much healthier, and he didn't have a vaporizer.

I ordered the lotus j hook set because my solo battery died and it's an earlier model where you need an adapter to make it work without the battery. I didn't fell like buying the adpter, or a new battery for an older unit.

The lotus is my favorite vaporizer so far, although I haven't tried many.

I love the taste, it really gets good when you get the flower to a dark brown IMO. The speed in which it can be used is great. Waiting for a vaporizer to heat up while in pain is terrible. Also the ability to use it with glass without any further modification's made it very tempting for me.

tl;Dr

Had the MFLB, solo, and now the lotus. Lotus is my favorite.

It came in a week and they chucked in a spare pack of fine screens which I thought was nice..........

I think the new plate is def an improvement on the old one seems thicker but that might just be me.......

Anyway hats off to a good company and speedy delivery ,hitting it as we speak lol ...........

My favorite things about the lotus are:

-- gong attachment
-- portable
-- efficient - that small bowl makes me load less and, therefore, use less in the end
-- one hitter quitter

When I just want to chill out and have the occasional hit, the Lotus is my boy!

Two Lotus caps, both V3. Different locations. One chars and combusts easily; the other really takes some heat, and I don't feel like I could combust if I wanted to. WPA on one has a hollow handle; the other is solid. I wonder if there are revisions ongoing. Just ordered a third as barter for painting. Can't wait to help them break it in. Love Lotus and MT.

Does anyone know any retailers of the Lotus?
Preferably in Canada, I have looked but only found the actual Lotus site that is selling them!

I am still intrigued by this bad boy!

I bought mine from the Lotus site. I live in BC Canada. Customs cost about $25CAD.

It was more than worth it for me. There's something about that moment when it kicks in and you go into that meditative zone, watching the flame moving around the image of a Lotus flower. Its incredibly relaxing.

Edit: what's the little toothpick sized thing hanging off the bottom for?

Anything worth doing, is worth overdoing.
What is the benefit of the course screens vs the finer ones? Is there noticeable draw restriction when you use a finer screen? I just assume buy the finer ones to reduce particles getting through, but I did notice that my lotus shipped with a course screen.

no restriction, no particles, but the fine ones need cleaning much more frequently... i use fine for the alum stem and coarse for the wpa (through water)
