Well got sometime today, to do a quick full breakdown of how battery lasted for me.

My use is not far off, I died into the 6th. But I let the unit auto off, instead of manually turning off, so that is a factor. For those with shorter times reported, it might be due to first use. Even though I did charge the unit to full before first use, the battery died down quicker the first time compared to subsequent charges. But maybe just an anomaly on my end....

I really want to see how fast this unit can extract.

It extracts fast; it really comes on immediately and vapor is thick. I will have to warn friends not to just 'rip it'; nice slow draw, half breath is perfect. It does seem to cook very slightly when left in the hot chamber, so I think manual turn off will save both battery and bowl longevity.

This is a pretty absolute statement

Do tell what these experiences are....

Also, have you tried either the Crafty or the Mighty? If not, how exactly would you know what experiences either offer?

Don't know about the FF but with the Elevape I can take it out of my pocket, hit it, and put it back in my pocket in less then 10 seconds, can't do that with either of these S&B products. I'm still waiting for more vapes to use this type of tech.

I guess my main point was how can you bash something you haven't tried?

The Firefly and Elevate are both over $300
Firefly retails for $269, you can get it with an extra battery for $300. USA shipping is free.
And they have a 20% off deal until the end of the month

Isn't that what the vibration feature is for, to let you know when it's up to temp and ready, so you can take it out of your pocket and rip on it quickly?

I didn't bash anything. I pointed out the FF and ESV, while pricey, can do something the Crafty or Mighty apparently can't, which is have vapor in your lungs in 5 seconds or less, and IMO, are vapes that are worthy of their high price tag, which is still significantly less than either the Mighty or Crafty.

They do this because this is what they were designed to do. IMO neither the Crafty or the Mighty were designed for this.

Both seem to be more catered to the group user or home portable user in mind. Hand it to a newbie and watch them rip away. Can you do that with your FF?

IMO they cater to a different consumer( and were intended to).

Yes, they do cater to a different consumer.

All I did was point out to @Mr. Gweilo 420 was that the two vapes in question could be had for under $300. He then presented his point of view, which I had not considered. Therefore, I "Liked" his post, while after pointing out that many, if not most, of FC could actually get those vapes much cheaper that he could.

I then, in a lighthearted manner, pointed out why, to me, those vapes are worthy of their price tag. I assume he respected my point of view, since he liked my post. I'm sorry that you seem to have taken offense at that remark, but you really shouldn't have, since it was only the truth. Or if you took my remark about experiences to offense, but again, it seems like the truth here.

I never said any was better than the other. All I did was point out a couple of VERY obvious differences. It really should have been left at that.

And yes, I have handed my FF to a newbie and watched them rip away. I've also watched some fail miserably. Another difference.

Now let's shut the hell up about it before a mod scolds us.

:2c:

not to mention this release came about pretty much unannounced. I woke up last Friday morning never having heard of the Crafty or the Mighty. By 10am I had ordered the Crafty. I feel very lucky actually. Earlier that week my vape lab was shut down permanently. I still have a nice vaping area but no longer a dedicated room. I decided to console myself with a new portable. Hell, you need it is what I told myself. It was either going to be a Haze, Inh05 or a Firefly but none of them were quite right for me. I think the Crafty should be just right. It wont replace my enanos as daily driver but i am hopeful it will be a small, powerful and discrete beast. I just hope that it is noticeably superior to the Solo. For me the Solo is still the benchmark in the portable market although its downsides have been well documented.

I'm in almost the same boat as you @Mr. Gweilo 420. Recently lost my main vape station as well and looking for a portable I can get more satisfying hits from.

I purchased the Mighty first to try out the style to see if it's for me. If it produces I plan to sell my Solo and WISPR to get a Crafty for on the go.

Yeah totally agree guys. Mighty could well be a daily driver. it's just a bit big for me as a portable. That's why I like the app for the Crafty. Seems the two units might offer the best of both worlds :)

I wonder if the android app could be ported to the new kindle hd 6" (starts at $99).

The 7" from 2013 has:

BT 4.0 + EDR (HID and A2DP profiles only)

It doesn't mention ble, but the 6" just came out so maybe.

Anybody got a bezos hookup?

According to consensus, the volcano is still the best bag-blowing vape in existence

Just out of curiosity are you comparing it to the herbie too, cause I thought the consensus was that the herbie was slightly better vapor quality. But I might be mistaken.

I had a herbie, and I was part of the minority that actually liked the bag experience with it. Most seem to think there is a lot of room for improvement, particularly with the way the valve attaches to herbie for filling (I modded that part), as well as the valve itself (I thought the one I tried was fine). The difference in performance is the volcano takes much longer to warm up, but fills bags 3x as fast and with denser vapor than herbie. This is from what I understand, I haven't had a chance to actually try the volcano yet.

I love bags with the Herbalizer, but I use the Volcano Solid Valve with it. I wasn't happy with the Herbalizer bags themselves. The Volcano fills bags much quicker, but the Herbalizer fills bags with denser vapor (extracts more in a single fill) IME.

My Crafty arrives in the morning. And I'm going to end a t-break with it. I can't wait. Review to come :)

Has anyone who has theres already tried dabs with it? I am very interested to see how it performs with concentrates. If its any good I would be hard pressed not to pick this thing up, another to fuel my VAS.

Well kindles are just android tablets that have been stripped of all google services to force people to use the amazon store. The app will run 100% fine, but the question is what hell do you have to go through to get it on an amazon device. Its similar to apple, but can be circumvented at least. You might have to root the device, you might not.

Either way find out if the tablets support "apk installation".

If they do I'd be happy to upload the official APK, which is legal, since the app is free. YAY free software...now we just need less restricted platforms like Apple/amazon so people can actually run their own software on the devices they purchased and are locked out of using how they want...

Guys I am incredibly excited. As often as I buy new vapes...I buy 1 pair of shoes every couple of years. Mine are taking in water finally lol...so time for new ones. I won't leave for the mall until I have my crafty charged up and ready to go so I can give some reviews. I haven't been this excited since Rex Manning Day!

Right there with you @darkrom! I'm psyched to try one out, but won't be able to til next week. Out of town for work. I had considered having it delivered to a UPS Store to hold for me, but there isn't one within 100 miles of where I am :(

I'll be ordering it to meet me the day I get home though ;)

Got some more time, so going to toss out my quick take on taste and flavor. I have been comparing it to few other vaporizer I use.

I would rate taste for this portable as one of the top selling points . Heck it even holds some of the taste btw different vaporizer sessions. I feel it's one of the best if not the best tasting portable vaporizer I have.

Currently still comparing crafty with elevape smart vaporizer for the # 1 tasting spot.

Then working down

Ascent
Thermovape Evolution 30w core
Pax
Iolite
Magicflight

This is just my personal preference taste wise.
