Changing the Habit

for me the pipe-functionality-emulation is unbeatable so far:) ... i ve stopped using my volcano and herborizer at home haha.... lotus + china glass rulz :D

I guess I just need to order one to try it. I've never used one so can't confirm, but in my head I like the idea. Im also curious of the new Storz & Bickel vaporizers. I have a Volcano but I prefer direct draw. I find the bag system a waste of time for me, and the solid valve has too many parts.

you should probably check out the vapman thread for a flame powered unit. the basic version isn't that expensive at all. the mflb is a true champion in the stealth department and also really affordable. plus - nothing beats their fantastic customer service and the life long warranty. life long means as long as you live.:) most other electric portables only give around two years.

Wait, my vapman has a life long warranty? Sweeeeeeet!

Changing the habit..
A hard thing to do, because habits are so ingrained!
I spent the last week slipping up and having bongs with my friends when I was unable to use my vape (out of battery, no power points in a desirable location, etc) and it has been terrible. It's easy to fall back to old habits but this one was a mistake. I feel terrible after 2 days of having a bong sesh, whereas my 'recovery time' (if any!) is only a few hours for vaporizing.
Smoking weed is the worst high of them all. SO heavy, dense, sickening and unhealthy..
Avoid it at all costs. Fuck combustion.

Back to vaping again and it's 10000000% better

Funny thing for me was after vaping for about a year and then getting a mobius ion matrix with a cloud plus, I found vaping to start falling behind and use the same amount of bud as combusting, even with my volcano classic. After about another year and half I get the Herbalizer since they had the 20% off discount code... and that thing made me put my lighter away completely. Like I get no more urges to combust. I guess it all comes down to how good your vaporizer is.

don't know about the herbalizer, but my experience with the volcano is, that it's a "soft hitter". i get more and faster baked with the solo, mflb, vaponic or vapolution. the volcano just became the poster boy for vaporizers a decade or so ago, that image stuck. the unit has its merrits, but the playing field evolved. so yes, it all might come down to how good one's vaporizer is. a high price, however, is not the only indicator of the quality of a unit. :)
and personal tolerance is a big factor too. some appear to take tolerance breaks from time to time.

Lucky to be here
I quit smoking ( tobacco and herb ) after 18 years of addiction! This is all thanks to vaporisation of the green stuff. To quit smoking I simply bought a Volcano Digit and promised myself I would pay for it by saving the money I would normally pay for cigarettes. Well it worked - and the Volcano paid for itself. And I feel happy and lucky to be alive!

I quit 8 months ago. Since then I have bought a PAX, Ascent and Vaponic ( also the Atmos Raw which I threw in the trash after combustion kicked in ). Vaping is the future for me!

I am totally happy with my new lifestyle and habit. But there are those times I must say when the cigarette urge comes back. Thats why, more and more I find myself using the Vaponic. The Vaponic is the closest thing to smoking I find - you hold a small tube in your fingers like a cig, you use a butane torch and there's a flame so it's very similar. And now I carry a lighter around with me again!

You might also consider the Lotus or VaporGenie, which are also powered by a butane torch/lighter

I love that it's so portable now. I was always so paranoid about carrying pipes and flowers because of the smell that it put off while storing and how smoke smell just sticks to my clothes and hair, etc. The vapes are just so easy, portable and just don't smell as much. I can't imagine switching back to smoking (though I still partake an an old school joint with friends!)

Changing the habit is a brilliant way to keep things interesting.

Last night, I hit a crafty bowl consisting of a layer of slurry made out of Cluster Bomb flowers and powder fine cut up pressed THC Bomb bubble (was squooshed to make rosin), a layer of fresh THC Bomb 70% odd melt bubble) a chunk of <.02% thc/thca containing ACDC shatter, a chunk of MAJORLY STUPIDLY POTENT and no doubt high THC Cluster Bomb absolute shatter and a layer of THC bomb flowers on top to keep all that goop from getting into my Crafty cooling unit.

It put me to sleep at 5pm until well into the next day. Yes, it changed the habit, but perhaps don't get as ambitious as I did unless you don't need all of your days ;)

I'm amazed at how much I hate smoking joints and I've only been vaping for a month now. All I taste if I smoke a j is paper! For over a decade of j smoking I can't imagine how much paper I've smoked. Vaping tastes way better, smells a lot less, I feel safer, is a cleaner high and experience overall and I hope, ultimately, that's it's"healthy." I mean it's definitely better than combustion, but I'm not quite sure how much safer vapor is for your lungs.

I hear ya man. But nobody here can deny that this is something new....so you never know. But hey, I don't think it's going to stop me from buying an arsenal of vapes lol.

That was definitely what I wanted to read lol thanks for sharing that. I'm shocked sometimes how vapor makes me cough and often my nostrils really burn. I don't get that with joints, but bongs do make me cough hard. No burn in my nostrils though.

Ironically, vapor can be very dry and harsh on your throat. A lot of the members on here use water tools, at least partially for that reason.

Hey now, depending on the time of day, it's either water or a Guinness (mostly) for me while vaping dry. I premix a drop or three of essential oil/litre of distilled water for my water tools. YMMV.
IMO, the best part of changing the habit thru vaping is the wild array of flavors that present themselves from strain to strain. Just wish I knew what my strains were. Have to still 'fly under the radar' as we are not legalized here.

I know, also you can easily overdo it. I have had some people that will likely never ever give vaping a true chance when they had a ridicules coughing fit after using my Pax. They were like, NO NO NO!! I feel bad for that.

Hard to believe negatives about a volcano. I've had mine since 09. And have vaped many bowls over the years. As a home based unit, or a party driver it excells IMHO. Ive toasted entire rooms of 20 people. In six years its never failed me. My only negative it that it does use more herb than some of the smaller more personal vapes.

And speaking of smaller vapes, a month ago I purchased a mighty. This made my vaping mobile and has become a game changer for me. It travels well and a full charge can last me two full days. I feel completely covered in my vaping needs, although vaporizer acquisition syndrome is a clear present danger.
