 Poor @Indica Vaporizer. People clamoured for a black "stealthier" Indica and he gave us one, but still not good enough for some.

Anyone remembering Knight Creations and their:
"special technology that coats the iPhone casing with a layer of TiN and TiAlN (Titanium-Nitrogen, and Titanium-Aluminum-Nitrogen) through a process known as "plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition. What you get is an anodized iPhone casing (matte black to match the black plastic cover) and an Apple logo finished in the TiN or TiAlN. The TiN coating gives the Apple logo a shiny Gold presence, while the TiAlN coating gives the logo an understated, stealthy look." ?

A TiAlN coated Indica Noir would be THE SHIT! And scratch proof that is!!! :brow:

I love the Black powdered coated Indica beta unit. Thanks Mike for giving me the opportunity to review this great portable. I use the bag included when I have it in my pocket or purse. I haven't had any mishap with scratches yet. I enjoy the stealth factor when out and about. It smells the least of all my portables. Good luck Indica. You have a winner IMO.

Folks remember to buy from an authorized vendor or your warranty will be no good.

Speaking of warranties. I searched indicas website and couldn't find an answer to my question. Does the warranty start the day you order it or the day you receive it?

I ordered mine 10/17 and as far as I can tell it hasn't even shipped yet (sorry to bring up shipping, but it relates to a warranty question).

If the warranty starts on the day ordered that doesn't seem very fair. It's only a 52 week warranty and 2 or 3 weeks of that warranty will be gone before I even get to touch it.

I think it would be a nice gesture on Indicas part to start the warranty on the day delivered, especially with the current processing delays.

My Noir has arrived! A few things I'll note:

- I paid for Next Day Air. It was delivered with a Ground shipping label. That's frustrating.

- The packaging is beautiful, elegant and sturdy.

- The unit is smaller than expected, always a big plus when this happens.

- The unit came with a small scratch on it, so there's a silver dot on the body already. Maybe the silver Indica is the way to go then.

It's charging now so we'll see how it performs once it's done.

Can't wait to hear what you think of the noir after it's done charging.

That's unfortunate about the scratch exposing the silver underneath. I have OCD and would have to return mine if it arrived like that. $200 isn't chump change and I don't think asking for the matte black finish to not have scratches is asking too much. I applaud people that can deal with minor defects without having it bother them, but like I said I have OCD and once I notice a flaw it is all I can see, darn brain chemistry. I've been to psychiatrists and am clinically diagnosed, but they won't prescribe my anything to help with it.

Anyway back on topic. Congrats and please let us know how you like it after the initial charge and burn-off.

When you recieve your Indica it is in a plastic bag with a bar code sticker on it.
You attach that sticker to your warranty card.
You send in your warranty card.
Once they receive your warranty card with the serial number to your Indica, the warranty begins on your Indica.
No worries, Indica is a stand up company with warranty issues.

I haven't put the Noir to use yet, but I have a few comments so far:

- It feels like a very solid, durable device.
- I've run it on high a few times for a burn off. No off-gassing. No strange smell.
- I've tried drawing from it and the restriction, on empty, isn't too bad. We'll see how that changes when loaded.
- It does have a bit of a silicone flavor from the mouthpiece... does anyone know if we can remove the silicone? It feels pretty stuck on and I don't want to try it and break it accidentally.
- The body gets pretty hot after running it for 15ish min on high. We'll see how that changes during regular use. I likely won't be using it on high either, so hopefully it stays a bit cooler.
- The button sticks. This is annoying me. Playing around changing temps, the button sticks more often than not. Pretty annoying. I'll write Indica and see if this is atypical and requires a fix. Unfortunately though I'll be traveling for awhile beginning tomorrow so I won't be able to send it in yet if need be.

I'll post tomorrow regarding actual usage if I get the time.

The silicone mouthpiece comes right off.

If you soak it in coconut milk the silicone taste will go away.

Try rolling the button around in a circle to loosen it up a bit.

I ordered the Noir on Friday the 17th and I'm kinda pissed it didn't ship til yesterday. Why such a delay in shipping? I was really hoping to use it this weekend. Once I do get it, I'll post my thoughts on it. The anticipation of getting it is killing me. If one of you lovely Indicans would post a close up photo of the new Noir, that would be cool. You know, just to hold me over til I get mine. :)

@Blacksolidus I posted pics of the Noir with my black beta on page 63 post #1560 with a short comparison. The SS Indica pictured here is the Noir. Most all the upgrades are hidden inside.

I thought I would share with you the Indica loading funnels I received from @Ratchett.
First off, thank you Ratchett my friend, these funnels are awesome!

These funnels are amazing! They make loading your Indica a breeze!

After loading my oven, I was able to push the spacer right down through the funnel.

Completely mess free!

Awesome job @Ratchett! Keep the accessories coming!

Could you show some more pictures (or a video) showing how they work? Unless it's already been posted and I've missed it...

In the meantime, loving my V2 SS! Are there any tips that a more experienced owner has for general maintenance and easy mods? Looking for more of a summary rather than 67 pages of discussion.

Thanks for the tips! I like the look better without the silicone already.

I'd love to read some thoughts and comparisons with the rest of the vapes you have been using or used. With the Pax, the Lotus, the Firefly, the Lotus, Solo, Nano, Ascent… I know I ask for much…

Edit: hell, crafty as well! :D

If you have not seen them yet, you should definitely search this thread for the reviews by @Vape Dr. He's done some really thorough tests and reviews, including comparisons to several portable vapes. I have found his thoughts to be spot on in comparison to my experiences. He's done great job, so check those out for sure! His write-ups really helped me make my decision, and I love my Indica!

I'll try to get some pictures of my funnel design later - basically remove your oven door and clean out your ABV. Place the funnel over the door and begin dumping in your material - slide in the spacer to tamp down (if desired), then remove the funnel and install the door.

Not sure when I'll get these posted to my store, but if anyone is interested in a prototype, PM me for details. I have a new glow-in-the dark color which works GREAT for loading your Indica in the dark!

Just took my Indica on a road trip to Niagara and LOVED it, so portable, stealth enough for my needs, and easy to load on the road (especially with my funnel)

hey guys!

Registered to clarify if this is the new indica that has all the improvements of the noir, except the matte black finish:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Indica-Vers...322?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item20e6ff9a42

i asked the seller but it is best to confirm here, seems like you guys know your stuff!

Hi. Welcome to FC vapeppau! Hope you can stick around for a while- there's a lot of great info on this thread (and this site in general).

It's impossible to tell from those photos if it's the newest version of the Indica since nearly all the adjustments made for the Noir were internal. The absence of a silicone cap/cover for the mouthpiece makes me wonder though. Most (all?) new units have one I think. If you can, get the seller to pull off the metal mouthpiece (don't worry, it's supposed to come off) and confirm if the air-path area on top of the Indica has a clearly-visible rectangular silicone seal surrounding it. The original doesn't have this silicone seal. However, if you want to be really sure, you could ask the seller for the serial number of the Indica that he will send you, and then check it with Michael @Indica Vaporizer.

Good luck!

Thanks for the welcome and answer mate!

I actually already bought the indica from that eBay seller already. I really needed a more stealthy vape to my solo. When I was researching alternatives, I stumbled upon this thread and the improvements in the noir. I really should have asked here before pulling the trigger...vas I guess haha

Anyway I'll check the mouth piece and send the serial to mike.

Its likely not a noir, as the silver ones were limited so far. Its probably an early unit, which is still fantastic. As long as you read through the thread you should still be very satisfied
