Great Scott!
I have to say I am not enjoying the delivery process from S & B out of Germany. It is 9am Thursday morning. It has been six days since I placed my order. It was completed the same day. Unfortunately there are no pick ups until Monday morning. Since Monday morning my package has been floating around Germany somewhere and as far as I can tell is still there :(

No offense but don't you usually/often have shipping issues? Forgive me if I'm thinking of somewhere else. Some locations just suck to ship to apparently

Damn, that pic gave me a rush of VAS-drenaline:whoa:(trademarked if I just coined that!) like never before, didn't know about some of those settings, might be a must have....there's something about having your phones beeper go off, only for it to be your vaporizer calling you:lol:, this is the future:borg::cool:!

Wow I think S&B took quite a risk releasing the Crafty without app approval. I certainly hope it gets approved but I'm waiting to see what happens. If it were me I would have tried to get the app approved long before committing to the hardware design. From Apple's perspective who knows what a can of worms it could open up for other similar devices. The reviews here (thanks) and from what I've ready make me want to get one in addition to my Firefly.

Based on the video from elmomuzz, the Mighty drops about 10 degrees while drawing fast. With the Crafty, is the initial drop roughly the same or is it more? Just wondering if the 3 watt difference shows up there... And after the temp drops while drawing, does it fluctuate more than 3 or 4 degrees around the lower temp while trying to get up to the set temp while drawing?

Also, I think if the temp drop is consistent and doesn't fluctuate too much while drawing at a constant rate, instead of adjusting your draw, you could adjust the set temps. With the app in front of you, it should be easy to determine how much your preferred draw rate drops the temp. Once you have that number, you could set the target temp at x degrees, knowing that when you draw at your preferred rate, you'll actually be getting a somewhat lower temp of x-y degrees.

Well the temp drops about 3c, or about 8-9f when fast. However, when you are initially drawing, the temperature will spike up, past the set temp a few degrees. I'll have to use it more to see if I can 'hang' one temp. But other wise, it seems to keep the temp in a range pretty well. Overall it really isn't requiring a special technique or touch like the MFLB.

Is it possible to turn Crafty on with the App? If not I wish it was, that would be super cool, even only being bluetooth so just close distance. I can picture myself now- turning it on and setting the temp in my pocket remotely in a stealth situation, then getting a covert vibration message to my phone when its ready:lol:......as I said, THE FUTURE!:borg:

I just tried, and could not find a way...but the way things look, I don't see why not. I would expect it to be in an update down the line.

Upon pondering it further it doesn't seem possible, the bluetooth would have to be on first, which I assume requires the device to be turned on already.....same with a Btooth speaker

You are correct. In order to achieve that, device would have to be on, or in a low power state, it would be possible but would slowly drain your crafty battery while in this mode.
I like where you were going, but I would prefer a full crafty battery rather than this feature, but maybe there could be an option to enable it for "special occasions". Possibilities are almost endless.
But have to wait and see if firmware is upgradable for end users. Don't see why it wouldn't be, if not I'm sure there would be a way to put it in maintenance mode to enable firmware upgrades.

I like a high grade portable. It has peaked my interest. I have an iPhone 5s and an ipad2. I'm not sure if the app would work for me? I will watch in the wings for now.

EDIT
There's really not a draw restriction with the newer model Solo. With PVHES mouthpiece very easy draw.

Newer iPhones than 4S should work just fine from what S$B says.

I wonder if an emulator would work with my old black Macbook… No low power Bluetooth here I guess but maybe that is emulated as well?

I'm noticing that most who have purchased either the Plenty or the Mighty has only had experience with either the 'Cano, the Plenty or the PAX. Is this because most of you purchase your product in the European market or is there another dynamic going on here?
I've just got a plenty what swung me was.
1. German
2. One handed

Plus it's the only vape I have that can give me a semi whitey great stuff

Just ordered the craft . I think I'm insane lol. I figure $200 this week, $200 next paycheck and just forget about it. A lot of money but I'm super interested and I can run it fine on my moto x.

Oh god can't wait for tomorrow. Happy Friday it'll be!

I'm a luddite; I don't use a smartphone and don't want one (or don't want to explain to my wife that I'm buying one for a vape). Here's my question: if I picked up a used Android phone, could I download the Crafty app and use it *without purchasing a calling plan*? In other words, could I essentially buy a $75 (or whatever) remote for the Crafty? I have to say that the posted image of the app is pretty damned impressive.

I think as long as the phone can connect to wifi and actually support the program it should work. I believe you need to set it up with a Google account though for the app market. I get the futuristic control-everything-with-your-phone thing but I don't like how it's being implemented in this case. I just don't want to have to deal with potential work-arounds for the app if something were to happen in the future. Still it's a very interesting device and I'm glad to see some solid new devices being offered. Has anyone had the chance to experiment with small loads? Perhaps a small load, like .07g, and then the oil pad on top to keep it down?

You need to have a BLE compatible device. I understand you don't need/want a smart phone. What about a google nexus tablet? They were ~$200 brand new not long ago.

Theres a site called "swappa" that is legit when it comes to buying and selling used android devices. If I were in your shoes I'd pick up the nexus 7 (2013 version) for around $140ish. Its really a wonderful tablet, and you can use it to program your crafty. Its an excellent browsing/media/consumption device for the money.

Anyone have any requests that they want me to review etc? No videos for now, but I can do pics. I'll mainly be comparing it to the firefly since its my fav portable, but I can also compare it to the pax. If I liked conduction I'd still have my pax.

The Pax is not distributed outside the US & Canada, so anyone in Europe who has one has got either a counterfeit or a grey-market device, so I can't see how it could be a factor here.

Thanks Quetzalcoatl and darkrom--that's helpful.

Darkrom, you've probably already answered this and I should reread the thread, but I also got rid of my Pax because of the conduction; besides the loss of flavor (for me), I thought it was a bit smelly for hotel use, etc. Is the Crafty better about that? Does it keep "burning" or releasing vapor after the inhale?

Thanks again.

Umm...........didn't know that. Thanks.....

I'm just trying to figure out what the Pax and the Volcano have in common. Over at that "other site", those that are really passionate about their Pax are also passionate about their 'Cano and visa versa. I don't really see this happening with any other kind of vaporizer pairing.

That just happened...
I bought the Mighty. My goto vape is a cloud. I hate my pax, love my solo and am completely sold on the Mighty. So don't think my opinion is to biased. My 'cano and plenty mostly sit on a shelf unused.

I'll let you know when it shows up tomorrow. App is ready to go on my moto x. I'll probably be trying their set temps first before changing anything to see why they picked those starting points.

I'd like to know if those preset temps are useful as well.

This makes me happy, that's for sure. I'm looking for something that doesn't make me miss my EVO when on the road. I'm not expecting it to perform quite at that level...but something close would be awesome!

I'm just waiting on some comparison vids/reviews of the Mighty vs. Crafty now. If the Crafty can truly deliver like the Mighty, I'll be going with the Crafty. The extra battery life and screen of the Mighty would be nice, but for me performance and then size are the most important factors.

Thanks again for your videos!
