@elmomuzz

What is your opinion on the LCD screen? I think someone mentioned earlier that it seemed to be very vulnerable to peeling or damage. Do you find that to be true?

Not elmomuzz but looks great to me. Really clear and clean looking screen here, nothing like the photo I've seen. Looks to me like the user had a damaged mighty delivered.

Dammit, the Solo just 'treated' my VAS too..
One day, it will be mine. Oh yes, She will be mine.

It looked like the solo stem could fit almost perfectly in the bowl; just as last night I found out my straight stem can do with the PnP.

I can see clearly now the smoke is gone...
I thought you would find this interesting. Using a Flir infrared camera I took a picture of my Mighty after inhaling through it a few times at full heat so you could see the heater and vapor path. You can see that by the time it reaches the mouthpiece it is cool.

I only have a few bowls of weed left and am not quite sure when I'll get more so how about just taking my word that if you inhale slower it will indeed maintain temperature better. I was pulling quite hard in the video. If you sip then the temp maintains within a few degrees. My video represents how it would handle a circle of users.
dude your video inspired me to do one myself for the first time (INH05 thread) when I get my Mighty I will do another for the crowd! I'll be hanging out waiting for the fed ex man! Thank god I'm off tomorrow!

Has anybody from California ordered this vape? Reason I ask is because the units are being shipped from the Bay Area, so I want to know if taxes are being charged, if that's the case this vaporizer will break the $500.00 dlls. mark.

I added it to my cart and went to check out, but didn't confirm the purchase, no tax was added. Looks like $469 flat with free overnight shipping.

I live in California and was charged sales tax. Total came out to $511. It's the price you pay for being first in line. I'm sure in a few months time dealers will be selling this for below the MSRP with free shipping/no tax. But then you would have to wait.. And that's a big if and when. Storz-Bickel contacted me about my LCD screen and are offering a replacement unit so that's a plus. I think I had a dud. So far really enjoying the Mighty. I developed a method of letting it heat up to 380, take a huge rip. Then shutting it off and continuing to pull off the vaporizer while it cools down. I can do this around 3-4 times with a freshly packed bowl. And I've done around 7 fresh bowls today on a single charge. It probably has one more round left. One bar on battery. After a full day with it, I do think the Volcano is still the champion in terms of hit quality and performance but for a portable vaporizer, this thing is truly amazing and I think worth the steep price.

Possible, but as for tax, you'll pay it if you're getting it shipped to CA, no matter how long you wait.

There's also a big S&B distributor in Oakland. Authorized Vaporizer Dealer has been in business for many years (yes that means they're 100% legit) and has a great return policy.

"We accept back any Volcano item that is undamaged, clean, and returned in the original packaging for 60 days. All other products have a minimum 30 day money back guarantee All products must be returned in their original packaging. We will provide a full 100% refund (not including shipping charges). Try a Vaporizer risk-free. No restocking fees. Return merchandise to 212 International Blvd Oakland CA 94606."

I don't know if the 60 day return offer applies to the portables or not, but at worst you've got almost a month to return one and get a refund. I would also give Darren a call, vs. ordering on-line. If there's any 'deal' at all available on the portables at this time, you'll get it by phone order. According to the website, both portable models are in stock.

I sensed a little plastic taste on the first filled bowl.
This has me concerned and is kind of a deal breaker for me. Although that's just me so please no reason to get offended - is there such thing as a vape that is made in the USA with an all glass air path? PS: I don't need you to tell me why these things are not important to you - they are important to me.
Thanks

I've noticed that any new vape has a production "flava" that comes with it. Even the Ascent with an all glass airpath and the Cera with an all Ceramic path. Give it a couple run throughs with some ABV if you don't wanna waste the weed. The newness flava will dissipate. I can't recommend doing empty burn offs because that just heats up the metal/plastic/ceramic and boasts the flava. With the Mighty it surely will subside quickly because the length of the MP will get coated pretty quickly with a film of oil then SMOOTHNESS! Just a theory , but luckily I can prove it later today! FedEx gods come quickly! :D

How bout the e nano isn't that all glass too?

Looking forward to seeing more reviews on the mighty but so far I'm not impressed with all the plastic and possible draw resistance down the road. Hmmmm

What possible draw resistance that might be? All the parts are cleanable in the cooling thingy. I am mostly worried about what will gather under that screen in the bowl… It's just like Firefly's design and it will get clogged!

natural farmer,

That just happened...
I consumed about 1/2 oz before I finally cleaned my cooling chamber. Although it was still drawing easy I was curious what it looked like inside. It was pretty gummy and took a good bit of work to clean. But like I said it didn't actually effect performance. I'll be cleaning it more often so it's not such a chore.

Is the cooling chamber the top piece that's easily replaced?

I don't know, I took the ordering process far enough along that all I had to do was click "place order" to complete the transaction, and no tax was being added. The shipping address was in CA.

@elmomuzz What technique did you use to clean the cooling unit? I wonder if the cooling unit and mouthpiece can be safely soaked in ISO. That's what I do with my Herbalizer bowl, no issues there.

Also, for those who own a Mighty, doesn't the device come with metal screens to place over the bottom of the bowl where the airflow holes are located? I guess that would make the risk of debris falling in the same as with the Firefly. I haven't had much of an issue with bits of herb falling into my FF... is there no possible way to disassemble the unit and get underneath the bowl?
