Vapman

Well...all i can say is this...when my vapman came, the lotus went on the shelf...i bring it out when i have friends over. The vapman is what i call a personal vape...i do not share it much.

That's my story as well. My first Vapman retired the Lotus for the most part. For sure the Vapman fits me better, no guarantee it'll be the same for the next guy, of course, but I bet way more guys go from Lotus to Vapman than the other way around?

after a summer break from FC i had to do some catch up work here. :) i was too divided between getting the lotus or the vapman. it's going to be the swiss model. wallnut basic, to be precise. :) thanks to all the usefull information from you guys. now i'm just waiting for the official release of the concentrates screen, so i can order everything directly from Rene. my great hope is, the screen works well with hard pressed hash. fingers crossed. :)

I asked Rene about this - he said the new screens work really well with all concentrates - including hash. I'm really looking forward to trying them out for myself. It's just another week or so now, before they're due out - so not too much longer to wait! :)

IIRC mine took just over a week, but I'm on the West coast of the US...... You, being closer and in the EU (no customs?), it'll no doubt take longer.......

You'll love it when ever it gets there I bet?

Regards and best wishes.

I just remembered another thing:

One thing that tipped the scale towards the Vapman for me was the fact that you have to torch the Lotus as you draw. I really like the way you torch the Vapman and then draw afterwards.

This ritual is much more natural on the Vapman, in my opinion.

The vapman is a ritualistic vape...it draws me back to nature as i listen to the crickets and birds and i sip on some nice scotch....

.

That is a bonus in my opinion. One reason I like the Supreme vaporizer too. Torch first draw after.

This is actually one of the few things that still hold me from getting a Vapman…

I think I prefer heating as I draw cause I believe it gives me one more layer of control over the hit. You can start the hit with full heat and then back off or the opposite or any combination needed and the changes in temperature are instant. It gets things more complicated, yes, but it becomes instinctive after a while anyway so…

Yes, I am not entirely convinced about the heating first, drawing after thing yet. I have a few more things that worry me about getting a Vapman but I am working on them. I guess in the end I will just get it cause it's very very beautiful and see how it goes from there… :)

I really don't think reading about it is going to really resolve that. It's a very individual thing, others' experiences are not sure to match yours.......hey, they don't even match each other!

Nobody can really decide for you. The only way is to actually try it out for a reasonable time. If you're inclined, I suggest you give it a go and see?

I will eventually… When the budget is right… It's Indica's time first cause I really want to have a very portable and self contained vaporizer in my pocket when I head out of the yurt. Torches are not very handy when it's windy and cold and rainy or you just need to use only one hand… :)

Understood. While pricey, there are some excellent 'stormproof' lighters out there. My favorite is the 'Windmill' brand. I have a similar one to this:
http://www.amazon.com/Windmill-Classic-Stormproof-Weather-WM362-0009/dp/B0068S61II/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1414072099&sr=8-9&keywords=windmill lighter

They feature a fine Platinum catalyst wire in the burner, even if you manage to 'blow them out' they automatically relight an instant later when fuel flow returns. The have a very loyal following amongst the boaties as they work 'every time' in the face of serious winds. Mine lights when held out the car window at 60 MPH.

Aside from the cost, my 'issue' with them for routine use it they are more awkward to use (flame out the top rather than at a angle) and don't hold very much (I got a clear one so I can keep track of that). But if your heart is set on using your vape in the face of 'the worst storm in memory', there's a tool for that too.

Not the best vape for all uses, of course, none are, but I bet you'd have a hard time finding 3 guys who don't enjoy theirs.......

Funny when the portable is more efficient then the plug in...... That's what I'm dealing with :/

Have to say my vapman seems more conservative than my e-nano. That really is saying something.

And the taste is pretty damn good too!!!

I hate slating the VM but if I had to pick fault it would be the flavour. The wood does hold resin after time and this means you always get a certain flavour accompanying the hits. However, If it does bother you could just buy a new mouthpiece section. I don't really mind but when I want flavour glass and convection are the things I see as the winners.

I have a log vape as well..The Hi....and logs are very conservative but the vapman puts it to shame. I like my log when i want them big ass clouds but i still go to my vapeman to take me over the edge and deeper into the promised land of being properly over medicated.
