I just shot them a support email, wish they just a had a number I could call. Thanks for your help @scottg402

Never had this problem before with a brand new unit. Glad I didnt get it off ebay and Ive got my warranty to cover me. I just dont understand what exactly is producing vapor because its a pretty steady stream. If I can get my buddy to come over ill use his iphone to shoot a little video and upload it here.

Another quick thing I noticed, If Im at full temp on one bowl and then switch to the other, the lights never flash as if it heating up, it just stays solid. But if I press the temp button and reset it back to "4" it shows it blinking and trying to catch up, just a quick bug to throw out there for @Haze Vaporizers

Thanks for the info again scottG, Has anyone else tried a high powered LED in the dark as well? Maybe Im being overly paranoid but its got a strong robot fart smell the entire time, id say now its had to time to fully burn on "4" on each bowl for at least 15 min straight and its still just as strong as ever, the smell and vapor.

Heard from support within 1 hour of message sent, good job there haze, im impressed. Ill go ahead and directly quote what was said to me because I believe this is just general info everyone should know.

"I am sorry to hear this issue. You do not have to do extensive burn offs. All material used inside are surgical grade stainless steel. It will have a thin protection film on surfaces which wears off after several uses, similar to any surgical equipment. This is totally safe to use and inhale."

Im going to go for it and do a couple cigar puff test inhales and make sure there isent anything off tasting or bad about it, will report back.

he responded to me but I just responded back to him, I took one test puff with an empty oven and thats all she wrote. I wont be touching this thing again until I get a new unit. tastes like melted plastic/robot fart, I even had a couple buddies confirm this when they came over and tried it. I am never offended by smells or tastes but I had to rinse my mouth out a few times it was so bad.

I just sent them another email explaining this but Im going to hold out hope and try another unit. Hopefully mine was defective. Im staying positive.

Sending the unit back today/tomm, Ill report back once the new one arrives.

@Haze Vaporizers I love yalls customer service, super friendly and didnt question me at all or make me feel like I had to "work" for my warranty (ive had a lot of trouble with companies in the past with this but haze made it a breeze!) Overall Im still satisfied with my purchase because I know what type of company and people Im buying from now.

That's the first case of that I've heard of. Defiantly no more test puffs lol that bitch is defiantly defective! I highly doubt you will experience that with a new unit.

Got Scope?

Got my Haze today and i have a couple dumb questions.
1. Is the tough plastic on the batteries supposed to be removed?
2. How do i do a burn off?

DO NOT REMOVE THE PLASTIC!!!!!!!!

Read that white paper on top lol and a burn off is running it at max temp on each oven to burn off residue left from manufacturing. I didn't see anything on my burn off but try what llama did. Use a led like get in a dark room n see if there is any burn off from ur unit.

@llamaman001 im told ur going to be taken care of buddy enjoy the new unit

....it specifically says right when you open the box with a huge white warning NOT to remove the plastic battery covers.....

Do a burn off by setting it to temp 4 and leave it on for 5 min an switch bowls and do the same thing. The company states that you do NOT have to but everyone here would probably recommend it

ha so thats what that paper that i didn't look at says about removing the battery plastic!

Sorry for the double post but how long should the 1st charge take for the batteries on a new unit?

Mine was also giving the same taste/smell as yours. i gave it an iso bath and ran it on a few cycles each bowl and it works like a charm now. That was in my case however, yours may be different but it sounds exactly how mine came as well.

Explain "iso bath" please?

Vapet8 once again the product comes with a instructional booklet and it clearly states the batteries should be charged overnight I'd say at least 5 hours

I was specifically told to just barely dampen a q-tip with iso and wash the oven out, he stated to make sure it wasent enough to possible drip in the holes though so Im curious what you mean by iso bath.

i put a q tip in iso squeeze it out so its not dripping, and rubbed it on the oven, and in the place where the mouthpiece goes. afterwards i burn the iso off by running 2 sessions on it, or until the fumes stop coming off from the iso.

What do you guys/gals think of this review? Do you agree when he says it does not vaporize concentrates very well and it seems that the vapor is lost someplace in the device? He even mentioned this once with herb.

Do you agree it does not live up to the other units in this price point, even the ones he mentioned?

These statements are the complete opposite of what many of you have said/reviewed. I was able to use a friends and it worked great. I have yet to use a concentrate but I have been told it vapes shatter like the sun is hot.......sooooo I would imagine it could do well with it all and think it will based on all of the feedback here in this lovely thread.

BTW today is my b-day and no, no my girlfriend did not get me the Haze as expected. I'm bummed. Oh well it looks like I'll be ordering it on my own in about 7 days along with a bunch of extra stuff. I think I will give Cathy a call and see if they will honor that discount on more than 2 extra cans when one first purchases the Haze unit. @Haze Vaporizers would this be doable?

Also I was under the impression that some videos of the unit in action were going to be posted here and some more reviews on how it works with everything? Yes/no? I also just wanted to drool more and there are near to no videos of it in action on the net.

It does wax and oil very well. There are several videos posted already including mine with wax. You mentioned that you tried it yourself with dry herb so I believe you are good for the dry herb. You can see my video as well as @NickDlow 's videos on concentrates. I believe VapeDr. also posted a video earlier. Hope those will help.

I went back and noticed I forgot this guys review in my last post, this would be the one I am reffering to when I ask what you guys think about what he has to say. My bad for not catching it sooner. @ trevorzamani thanks!

Watched the video, there are a lot of contradicting points. In the video he mentions that he cannot get anything from the cans but all of us use cans almost exclusively. He also says "it does not claim clear victory over Pax" etc. Bu he rated Haze %82 and Pax%72. That looks like a clear victory (which I disagree. I think Pax is as good as Haze minus the extra features Haze offers)

http://vapesterdam.com/category/vaporizers/portable-vaporizers/

My other concern is that he rates the G-Pen as %70 where he rates Pax as %72. Same goes to WISPR and Pax are ranked almost the same (71 vs 72). So I would look more into the credible review sites probably.

the cans are always iffie for me as well. once in a while, when i decide to try out a can, it is always wispy vapor even though the avb is dark brown. ive had 2 great experiences with the cans and at least 5 not so great. i always put the lid on the right way, pack it with ground herbs about 3/4 slightly packed down, clip facing the outside.

There must be something wrong in ur technique. I get dense clouds 100% of the time from the OG model and the V2 using ONLY cans. The videos of me milking the shit outta my haze was with dry herb in the can. If that doesn't prove it idk what will lol what do u want to see in performance @ichibaneye? I'll slap a video together when I'm out of work just let me know what u want to see.

He is also reviewing the first generation Haze in that video, not thenew generation one. I have been using the cans and enjoy them entirely, did you guys notice performance difference between the original version and the new version when using cans?

Mainly with heat up time. Otherwise not really.. I had no issues with the cans in v1.

I just checked out that video. First off not only is that not the V2 but that is first first first production. Like pre-order version!! The logo is on the reverse side of the oven like mine I preordered. I exchanged that and got the OG model with the logo on the oven side. I'll put up a video of the cans with herb or concentrate or both with crazy dense vapor. Thank god I didn't base my purchase off of that boondoggle.

Hmmm maybe I should say it would be nice to see in one shot w/or without edit herbs being vaped, oils, wax, shatter and finally some hash. This would just give myself and others a better visual on what all happens vape wise comparably.

You also mentioned "milking" the Haze, my guess is long slow draws = milking it? Is that correct?

If you read my last few posts anyone I have decided that my VERY FIRST portable vaporizer is going to be the Haze. I was just curious more so if everyone else thought that guy in the review was somewhat contradicting and also was off in his review. Plus more video of the Haze in action is always a good thing, would you all agree!?

I totally agree that he is all over the place and contradicts himself, I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. It is just great to be around so many other educated and like minded people. I trust forums all day over any ONE review/reviewer. Cheers!
