Crafty/Crafty+ by Storz & Bickel

Could you translate what you're saying into lay-man's terms? I'm not sure if you're using code, it's an inside joke, or just jargon I'm not familiar with? I honestly have no idea what you're trying to say, forgive me!
I do not think I have been cryptic here.
A friend that lives in Tuttlingen (home to Storz & Bikel), told me that a fellow engineer gave him information about the manufacture location of the Crafty and Mighty vape.
There is no code here...
@Osn Dosn asked if it was "Hans with a lab coat"
I corrected him with my friends name ... Helmut.
I hope that clears it up.
Intent not to derail topic.
It was a question as to whether others had been given similar information.

Got ya, thanks! For whatever reason, it read like an inside joke to me! I guess I just assumed you didn't actually know an engineer named Helmut from Tuttlingen! ;)

That just happened...
It is priced like a German made good. It had better be one. Especially since they say it is. Unless I see some real evidence otherwise I have to believe Hans or perhaps Greta put mine together in Tuttlingen.

Well VAS got me on this one..might have also been 2 of my favorite are out for repairs. Really hoping this can take the place of the ascent and pax in my line up. As much as I like the ascent this be my 6th unit. Really glad to see the gaskets are replaceable on the crafty that one of weakness I found with the ascent.

One thing I haven't been able to find out is if you can change the auto time off. 1 min seems quick. Maybe has to do with keeping more in line with a being more of a convection vaporizer ?

Here's the back panel of the Mighty from Vape Critic's unboxing video. Made in Germany.

I'm pretty sure the Crafty says the same on its bottom panel.

I haven't tried that yet but I imagine it will work fine. I have half packed it without the pad. I was careful to keep it level so the herb didn't fall to one side of the bowl. It worked. :)
How much herb does it take to fully fill the bowl? I know the Plenty fit about 1g of ground herb and I cut that down to .2g with the liquid pad when needed.

Look through the mighty thread. It has the same size bowl. I posted some comparison shots of various bowls and also a video of me using it.

How would you rate/describe vapor volume production? Thanks!

Hey, Snaps.... you should ask him in the Mighty thread. @elmomuzz doesn't have a Crafty (yet?). ;)

:peace:
Right! Will do. Thanks! Perhaps I'm mistaken, but IIRC it was speculated somewhere on this thread that the two vapes should be able to produce equally in vapor volume. Might've been posted before the thread split in two.

Not everyone is going to love it but I'd wait for more reviews to come in before forming an opinion. I'm glad I went for the mighty though. :)
what's with the one minute auto-off... i read it over and over, but dont see it in your videos :p

does taking a draw reset the auto-off timer?

thanks for posting, here are my favorite parts of the review

"the Solo makes vapor that's just as good and has a longer lasting battery"
"Knowing what I know now, I'd be hard pressed to spend the extra money over the Solo."

For a lot of people the USB is going to make up for the lack of battery life compared to the Solo/Mighty because they have so many USB wall chargers and car-chargers. Plus you can use it while it's charging and the battery life doesn't sound that bad any way.

Also a lot of people just don't want to deal with Solo's big glass piece on the go. The Mighty size seems doable but far from ideal for a portable.

The real question is if the production is impressive and on par with the Mighty. And I'll just have to wait for more reviews and comparisons. I'm looking forward to the Vape Critic's review, but he loves Storz & Bickel so much I'll have to take it with a gain of salt.
