Great Scott!
I've compared the vapor from a Volcano to vapor from a herbalAire many times and couldn't tell the difference. Bagged vapor is bagged vapor IMO. There's nothing 'high tech' about producing vapor 'quality'.

Interesting. I don't prefer bagged vapor, and I sold my volcano to a friend, so no fanboy status here...but the volcano tasted better than the HA to me.

Are you guys getting it with euro plugs and adapters, or does it come with a USA plug if ordered in the USA?

Batt life is like 8 bowls on a full charge. Heat up time is like 70-80 sec. It heats up faster when turned on after the auto shutoff turns the unit off. I'm interested in finding out what the batt life is like on the Mighty

Nice review. The Crafty looks nice and small, even next to the Pax. And the battery life sounds really good.

I was wondering if you plugged the Crafty into your laptop or PC with the USB cord, are you able to adjust the temperature on there?

How well does it work half packed with the liquid pad? Also do you find the auto shutoff to be bothersome at all? How long does it take for it to shut off?

Diesel powered vehicles - 3.0L and lower displacements

Petrol powered vehicles - 4.0L and lower displacements

Man I need to get one of those fancy new "peteol" powered cars! All we Americans get are the old gas powered versions.

Not everyone has the same sense of taste or smell (and I certainly don't claim to have the most sensitive buds or nose), but I can assure you that S&B has no secret method of producing extra tasty vapor.

It is my understanding after speaking to an engineer that these units are made in the Philippines.
That may be, but unless S&B also has a distribution center there, I'd bet on them being shipped from Germany for Euro buyers and from Oakland for North American orders. That's the case with the Volcano or Plenty.

Does this vape get shipped from Germany?

Does the manual say where it is manufactured?

Wuut, what engineer, Hans with the labcoat?
Manual says they are made where all volcanos are made: in a small German town in a pretty rural area.. always makes me giggle a bit when I imagine those villagers selling Potmachines

@Roth, @max : I'm sorry if my remark sounded out of line. Although I try my best, the language barrier tends to attenuate a lot of the fine details that would have probably made my intent clearer (besides, attempts at humor or second degree are often difficult in online / textual form only, in this case the tone of my voice would have been enough to dispell any doubt...)

So peace, no offense meant... and I don't really care if you welcome new members or not. My point was just that the lack of USB port, while inconvenient I must admit, should not be a show stopper, as many power-packs support DC output.

I didn't like the taste of the ha that much and blamed it on the aluminum bowl, coincidentally the volcano also has an aluminum bowl. So when I see that somebody isn't enamored of the volcano's vapor taste, my mind just associates the two vapes together as far as taste goes, just a little off imho, ymmv.

Yes I forgot to mention that, good point.
As long as the mighty needs <12v, most battery packs should be able to run it as well.

Yeah the volcano was never a flavor saver to me, but the HA was worse, at the expense of full extraction and cheaper build.

FWIW I think my firefly tastes lightyears ahead of the volcano, so I'm curious if the crafty REALLY tastes as good as the firefly. If it does, I simply MUST have it.

Not Hans.. but Helmut with a lab coat!
He tells me he got his information from reading web information of a man called Ralf Messmer, who also wears a lab coat (but is connected to S&B)

Helmut lives in Tuttlingen, that small German Town in Baden-Württemberg.

You are correct that it does not matter where it was made.
I do prefer transparency, however.
There are vapes that say "made in ______" that turn out to have origins other than that which is listed.
In this instance it would matter somewhat to buyers who are paying for German engineering at German rates, but are in actuality funding products made at almost half the labor costs.

That does not mean I do not look forward to using the Crafty!

Prolly designed in germany, parts from all over (likely chinese batteries), with final assembly wherever they can get cheap labor (which happens to be the philippines atm). Agreed that it doesn't really matter.

Just purchased one. I couldn't wait i have had a volcano for about 8 years and it is still going strong every time one of my daily drivers goes down it comes back to life. The thing is a rock. I have faith in everything Storz and Bickel do. They might cost a bit more but they don't have a lot of the problems i have experienced with other company vapes. When Storz and Bickel release products you can tell a lot of time and effort went into R&D to make the product outstanding from the start, unlike alot of other portable vapes (solo excluded) where you might get an almost beta product and you know they are going to put out another vape the next year with the bugs worked out. At least i hope this product follows the volcano's example and it s built to last.

I'll be getting rid of my Inhalater 005 for this. The 005 is straight up dangerous. Melts like the Whicked Witch of the West at a pool party. I hope it hasn't perminently damaged my lungs, but I think it might have. Going for the MIGHTY. TREAT YO SELF!

The first solo's had little 'bugs' that had to be addressed with further revision. Just par for the course.

Could you translate what you're saying into lay-man's terms? I'm not sure if you're using code, it's an inside joke, or just jargon I'm not familiar with? I honestly have no idea what you're trying to say, forgive me!

I don't see how it matters?

Disagree completely. As @Iwien has mentioned there is a quality difference in manufacturing locations, as is evident with BMW's that were manufactured in south Africa versus Germany, same car, same parts but manufactured in SA lead to more problems.

Regardless of if there is or isn't a difference, you are paying a premium for this product and I could justify buying it if they had to pay Hans and Gunter 5x the wages to be assembled in germany vs in China or the Philippines. Otherwise they are misleading their customers in order to pocket fat profits.

Agreed certain parts need to be sourced from china (e.g. Battery, LCD panel, bt chip) but everything else should be assembled and manufactured there in Germany if they want to advertise it as made in Germany.
(although it could theoretically meet that criteria, of being made in Germany, if it was merely assembled there with foreign parts, which is still somewhat misleading).
