Is there any butane flavor when using the daisy? Can it get hot enough with out aiming the torch directly down the glass tube?

I don't taste any butane and no, the hot air created by the torch needs to be pointed at the inside of the glass tube.

Although the flame does not go down the tube. You don't want to just jam it in there. You kind of play around with the opening a bit, dipping just the tip of the flame in and out, in a bit farther and out again, to control the heat, swirling around the center until you find that perfect spot that makes her whistle. Drives Daisy wild.

It's actually been a while since I've herd Daisy whistle, I draw too slow. My flame is probably further away from the tube then most since I keep the flame large and draw slow. My thick, milky hits take literally 3 seconds, 4 if I'm pushing it and anything after that my lung ends up on the floor. These hits are full spectrum complete with browning on the top. If I'm letting somebody try it for the first time I tell them to make her whistle though... after I turn my torch down a bit.

@TheDudeNextDoor trustable description!

Vaping without water offers full medication too, daisy offers wide clouds for sure.

I witnessed this mode too after switching to Vapman OG big torch and upping the volume a bit. I prefer whistling though to avoid any browning!

just waned to come back and say how much i love this thing!

god damn! my herbie has not seem so much use recently. granted part of that is new vape enthusiasm. but this thing gives me a lot to be excited about.

fast to use. no real start up time.

gives me vapor nearly instantly. and i get huge awesome rips!

I don't notice any butane taste at all.

it's fucking beautiful. I am a sucker for sexy wood. if there is such a thing as reincarnation i hope to be a tree so i can be turned into a vape like this :D

I agree with you @weedmon! I have to remind myself to use my other vapes cuz Daisy is just so fast, easy, and effective. And beautiful too! Can't say enough good things about my best girl...

Daisy was an impulse item for me. I cashed in a coffee can full of coins at the bank and after depositing it in my savings account I realized I had just enough to get that pretty wooden vape I had just seen on FC. (Big baller, I know!) Best impulse purchase ever, let me tell you!

And what @steama says about loose trim is very good advice indeed. If you have friends with inexpensive trim (and it seems to often times be a good deal) try some out in Daisy. I feel like in addition to all her other attributes she's also saving me a ton of dough as I toss in a pinch of trim and top it with a snuff scoop worth of finely ground top shelf and I am good to go three hits later in about 45 seconds. Like I said: fast, easy and effective! And beautiful too!

Floating on.
Has anyone tried very finely ground herb in Daisy? If not, you should!! My PAX grind is extremely fine. Almost to a powder. PAX likes it that way.. But I've been experimenting with the superfine grind in Daisy and holy crap.. the hits I get are gargantuan. :whoa: Thicker and bigger than usual. It also serves to get me medicated much faster, and the effects feel stronger.

I've noticed the fine grind load can get stagnant in Daisy and it's very easy to scorch it unless you stir it after each hit. The finer grind also clogs the screen quicker. BUT the results are well worth it in my opinion. The load seems to last longer and with stirring I can get all of it a bit darker than with a medium grind. Stirring in Daisy is such a breeze anyway. If you do start experimenting with a super fine grind, start out slow. See how you feel after just one or two big draws. I got over-zealous during the initial tests and found myself a bit too elevated than I intended. I also accidently combusted once, so that may have been the reason.

Anyone else have input on preferred grind consistency?

i've run the gamut on grinds with daisy. no fan of whole flower. 1st grind with SCS then finer grind with black nano grinder from mflb. couple things. i got into the habit of mixing botanicals after every toot. when you're mixing that frequently i think it's all splitting hairs really. i quit doing the 2nd nano grind after determining that herbals will still break down easily. i tend to give a final finger grind with two pinches. i use a poker with glass ball on end. that poker can be turned upside down to further pulverize tiny bits of vaporized herb.

im a fan of any grind, but i stir between every hoot. because the bowl has a lip. no airflow happens on the outermost ring of the loaded herb. as a result less heat gets on that part, and it's is less vapes than the center mass of the load.

stilling give you better hoots each time, and makes it taste better too.

also change you screen somewhat regularly. maintaining high airflow works best i find.

regarding the fine grind getting you higher. you also mentioned combustion. the reason for that is too much heat without enough airflow. (airflow cools the herbs) the finer grind reduces airflow. i don't mind a fine grind personally. but i also don't mind the coarse grind either.

also, it's worth mentioning that when you vape you are hitting a certain spectrum of the thc/cbd etc with a set amount of heat. more heat = closer to combustion = the inhalation of more by-products similar to that of combustion. the higher you go temperature wise, the higher you are going to feel. it will also be more like a smoked high than a vapor one. i like to vape though the spectrum. start low, and gradually increase temp.

hope that helps.

once again, just coming back to say this thing i still my main daily driver.

I think i like this thing better than my herbie... amazing. the taste is much stronger with the daisy.

how can a 150 dollar vape be the best vape i own? i don't know, but it just is.

After finally receiving Daisy (held in customs:mad:), and getting to know her ins and outs, I'm really impressed! The build is quite genius, love the way every thing fits together, beautiful walnut wood blocks...easy to use, huge clouds, even faster than the Lotus. When trying to compare Daisy and Lotus, I'd rate the vapor quality and flavor of the Lotus only a tad better (Daisy's vapour is slightly woody, but I'm sure will improve) and lotus is more portable (pocketable), but I prefer the beautiful build of Daisy, as well as it's cannabic vibe:brow:, over the meth look of the lotus:\..........

On another note, I hadn't seen to much in this thread in the way of water tool attachment, I tried to fit my F-Bomb in the mouthpiece hole (thought I read that) but didn't fit (must have been PnPWT I read)......any way in a moment of high genius:science:, I realised that MFLB stems will fits in the air path hole joining Daisy's two Halves.......
The result:

Daisy + Orbiter:ko:(apologies for dirty glass)
(Stuck a blocked stem in the kick hole to free up a hand)

That looks a lot more ergonomic to use than my setup:

just wanted to quickly add how many of you still use the wood mouthpiece? I stopped quite some time ago and i much prefer the experience. better visual on the intake stem. Plus if someone is sweaty or over heating you dont get that same wet kiss when it's passed to you. you can wipe the glass way easier than you can the wood. and once that wood gets dirty, what will you clean it with? it's porous by nature.

use the wood mouthpiece as it's camoflauge plus thew mouthpiece wont get stinky.

oh, and also. a well used daisy is one stinky piece. i guess you could call that it's biggest downfall. i too it to my folks place in a bag, and slowly that part of the house started to smell. the items in the bag with it took on the scent of weed even harder. i have never noticed this in my home, or when i have taken it to friends places. but i took it to a no smoking zone, and i sure was able to notice it. glad nobody else did.

Hey guys, I've been lurking fc for a good while now and really appreciate everything this community does to inform those who thirst for such info like myself. I purchased the daisy today from the manufacturer but never received a confirmation email or order info. Upon purchase it sent me to a link that ended up being a dead link, which I assume would have given me the info I desire. Just curious to know if anyone knows why this happened and how I may be able to fix it.. Thanks!

Brought a daisy as soon as I found one in UK and have been using it for a few days now ,I found it quite oily when I got it so buffed it up a bit first. After getting used to it I can say and all my friends that have tried is that it produces some monster hits when got right , I am still learning coz sometimes I dont seem to get lots of vapour then all of a sudden bang. My son seems much better at it then me so prob just technique , I can get it to produce vapor with and without whistling so I am not sure the right way been reading everyone else's style and I seem to be emulating it ok.
I now seem to have all the vaporizers I need for now.,.................. I find the effect seems much more stoney in this vap with same erbs for some reason....

Yeh eBay 95 quid , well pleased with it although no lighter but spare screens and tweezers ,ain't a prob as I got quite a few for my lotus so I was away straight away..... Got to say ordered lunchtime one day came the next prob no warranty but I think its gonna stand up to the daily use no prob . the wood is really nice and very dense if that's the right word lol and i can see me using this a lot, I was going to take it to dam December with me instead of any battery vapes plus I could take it all apart and stash it all round me camper and I don't think it will ever get noticed......

Take it easy all.......
