The Mighty/Mighty+ by Storz & Bickel

I'm looking at this one or the crafty ... just really interested in the comparison of vape production and how long the charge lasts/takes ... to me seems like the Crafty would be the winner for me as I generally only use a single temperature for vape sessions (likely on this would be somewhere between 190-200) and one other temp for w/ water ... (the 2 factors for me for determining which would be better would be a) size/density/quality of hit ... b) battery life ... and by this I don't mean which is longer but whether the battery life of the Crafty suits me or doesn't provide enough sessions vs. the Mighty)

One of my major issues w/ hard hitting portables is their ability to cool the hit especially w/out water ... the Solo and Ascent do this well (something to do with the glass vapor path ... glass cools well)

The Mighty and Crafty both have a very interesting design for a complex vapor path for cooling vapor and seem to offer big hits ...

Definitely very intrigued!

That just happened...
Life keeps getting in the way of a worthy video. I met a new friend over the weekend and I'm going to the Steelers game tonight. So little time... But this will be Storz and Bickel's week. Let me proclaim it one last time while I still have exclusive rights...

Game changer! It's not some new technology but it is a very good design built with high quality materials. I just wish it were cheaper so more people could have one.

I see you have a Cloud as well, so you have a good frame of reference. How do the hits compare with the Cloud?

I'm just trying to find a portable flower option that doesn't make me miss my EVO when I'm on the road. I'm just about done with the e-cannajuice, leaks are always a concern. And I just enjoy the effects of flowers more.

Now I just can't wait til we have some comparisons between the Crafty and Mighty. I like the Crafty's size, but performance is more important to me.

Thanks for the videos/review!

Two different vaporizers with very different features need their own thread. I'd NEVER consider buying a Crafty but the Mighty is a different story. No talk in this thread about phone apps and smartphones that will dominate in the crafty thread and that will all be useless babble for those with the Mighty.

I sent Storz & Bickel an email regarding their battery replacement policy for the Craft and Mighty.

Batteries will be replaced by Storz & Bickel. The exchange is about $50 for the CRAFTY / $75 for the MIGHTY.

That is going to be a problem for folks in non mmj friendly states. Actually it may be a problem for anyone in the US. Mailing something internationally or between states that may have particles of MJ on/in it could well be problematic. I think S & B need to have "authorized repair centers" that one can drive to if they aren't going to make their batteries consumer replaceable.

Then again, I am new at this and there are probably other vendors that have resolved this in the past? What did THEY do?

Edit: I see they have offices in Oakland so I would guess that you can send it there for battery replacement instead of Germany, but still...

And I don't know how well the S & B products clean up, but I'm quite sure I couldn't get my Herbalaire clean enough to comfortably ship it. But maybe that's just me...

I hope there is a way to clean the herb specs that will eventually find their way under the screen and under the hot air holes in the bowl… Similar design to the Firefly with similar drawbacks!

You simply clean everything thoroughly before you send it. It's just an electronic device, perfectly okay to ship it anywhere you want back and forth.

I know VaporBlunt would have people send in their Pinnacle Pro vaporizer through the mail to a repair center just like S&B is proposing. I think the design of the mighty makes it even safer to be sent in for repair since the only parts that would have mj residue are easily accessible and cleanable. Also, contrary to popular belief, it is unlikely that your package would be compromised with just a vaporizer in it unless it wreaked of mj to the point that it seeps out of the package.

Not if you can't clean under the bowl…

I don't think these micro residual pieces of "stuff" will be enough for anything to ever happen. It's like that with a lot of vaporizers. If you get it to a smell free point, where there is nothing visible left, you will be okay.

Anyway, I don't have any funds at the moment, but I may consider theses if the price comes down in the next years. I already have two portable heavy hitters but I might be interested in something smaller if they perform so well.

I'm also curious about the connectivity. How easy it's going to be hooking it up to a water tool or a glass straw.

Most possibly yes…

EDIT: In my FF though those micro residuals were much more than micro in quantity. Had to clean once per month or so...

The odds of my getting tagged driving back from CO with product might be "reasonably" low, but I'm not going to try it to find out (even tho I REALLY want to). Acceptable risk is a personal decision.

My HA after 6+ months stinks pretty badly, and I doubt I could eliminate the stink.

And as I have always said, "Paranoia IS awareness".

I even take the plane with my two MV's, I don't worry a bit about it, just a quick alcohol swab and it's good to go. I thoroughly clean up the bowls and screens, new like. If you are really worried, pack it in a smell cutting package like mylar or a peli waterproof case and ship it to yourself back and forth.

Anyway, it's very important that you respect every legislation so you don't have to worry. If you have cleaned up everything you are.. Clean.

The ability of a device to get impregnated with the smell of the product you are using is by design, we'll see how theses performs on this point. My MV's or my Volcano never had this kind of stench problem.

OK, I guess it IS just me... ;)

Not really a problem cause I'm not in the market for a nearly $500 portable, but I'm just sayin...

I'm surprised the bowl on this isn't any bigger than the one on the crafty, as this would seem to be better-suited for passing around in a crowd.

Really interesting to see how these two compare after a few people get some time with both under their belts. I've been casually window shopping for something that can come and trump my Solo as my go to portable flower vape.

Do they publish battery life on the mighty Mighty?
I'm viewing this as in the miniVAP league, a portable but
not stealth size portable with superb vapor quality.
The miniVAP has up to 3 hour battery capacity, what's the Mighty capacity?
It's an interesting unit though.

It also cannot use a spare battery, to swap out, correct?

I am really curious to find out how the recharge times differ. The Mighty has double the battery size, but it can draw 36 watts while charging, whereas the Crafty can only pull 10 watts. So is it safe to assume that the mighty should recharge almost twice as fast?
