MiniVAP Vaporizer

lazylathe

Almost there...
@lazylathe.. I get just as big clouds now from the straw than I do putting it through water. Having said that though, I've now found myself taking a more leisurely approach. I sip that thing rather than whack it on a bong and get maybe 3 to 4 rips. I feel vapor is always somewhat wasted the bigger clouds that I exhale.. I get way more fucked up off way less now.. Though do still whack it on the WT on occasion. Such a versatile little vape.. Anyone tried creating some kind of bag set up for this thing? Whilst both WT and direct draw are far more desirable imho it's always nice to have options.

I have to modify my straw today and try and get it working well!

About the bags... How about the Aqua Lung??
I am sure this idea could be modified to work with the MV!

Good thread right here on FC!!

http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/the-amazing-vapor-lung.7526/

As for the WT, it produces massive clouds but i always pre warm my MV before taking a hit.
I find this get the vapor flowing much quicker.
Just inhale over the empty mouthpiece till the air you inhale is nice and warm.
Then mount onto basket in WT and go mad!!
Instant vapor production!

I guess i am a cloud chaser after all... but damn that blue vapor!!

Well, I got the Aqua Vape glass piece yesterday. I combined it with a glass mouth piece on one end and tube cut the same length as the flexicone+ on the other end. I have not yet decided if I want to cut back the flexicone + shorter. The way I have it now the whole kit and kaboodle basically doubles the length of the flexicone+. The tubing I use goes over the flexicone+ and is sized perfect to fit over the nipple on the top cover piece of the minivap for a airtight fit. It's quick and easy.

It work very well dry, Between the Aqua Vape and glass mouth piece, the vapor is never hot. The glass does not get hot at all either, only the tubing does. Add water to the Aqua Vape and it's even better.

Yup, Minnesota and Colorado. Live in MN, visited Colorado in March and need to visit CO again for "supplies"

Hey MB ,
I saw you over at the Busted thread , so you'll know
what I'm getting at ...
You can go from a Non-legal state to a Legal state to
purchase MJ . And be safe within their borders , but once you
leave state line . You're Fucked and on your own .

So I guess you don't bring the Minivap with you , in fear
of it being confiscated ?

In Scotland that aqualung is called a Ratty.. Because of the tail that you stand on or pull. I used that to toke out when I was 16.. It would've been my first go to option but was thinking more outside that filthy box :tinfoil:

Edit: must be amazing going and buying a bunch of weed like that. I've been to Amsterdam twice but you don't get to go to a coffee shop and then to my actual home.
I'm taking my MV with me when I head back other in April.

Will upload a pic later, need to find my cable...

EDIT!!

Hits so smooth and the taste is still amazing!!
Medicated off three hits of Think Different!

I love Amsterdam, went there in May this year to play in a sports tournament and sight see. Check out Amsterdam Coffeeshop Directory website as they have threads with info on all the coffeeshops, etc. You can do your homework to plan your trip.
The dispensaries in Colorado have huge variety, all on glorious display, compared to the hidden weed in AMS coffeeshops. It's a treat.

@lazylathe.. First I was like.. Is that blue-tak? :uhoh:

@MinnBobber.. Kinda sport, and did you win?..:spliff:

Kommyknocker--1st European International Pickleball Tournament in Amsterdam. Have you heard of PBall? It's the fastest growing sport in N America. The tourney had players from England, Spain, India,
US, Canada. It's like a cross of raquetball, tennis, badminton, table tennis, and chess. Net sport with super fast action and court is smaller than tennis.
In men's doubles got a gold medal and in mixed doubles a bronze so did better than I ever expected.
It was an awesome trip--10 days in Dam.
Awesome except for the Whitey while out by myself, which is another story...

LMAO!!!
That would be funny!!
This is high temp medical grade silicone putty.

Oh and i have mastered the straw!
I just changed the tubing to a bit of Herbalizer tubing, nice and snug!
Flavour is amazing and the hits just keep on coming!!

Now i truly appreciate the MiniVap!
Took some experimenting and modifying but i believe this thing could be the vape to get!
Want a portable masquerading as a desktop? Get it!

I don't know what magic it has inside but it works extremely well!!

This really does say it all.

When I first looked at this vape in the 'portable' section of FC I discounted it because my initial reaction to it as a portable was "it's too fucking huge" and I moved on. I don't know what inspired me to go back later and read the thread from beginning to end, but I'm happy I did.

I don't take the MV with me 'on the go' when I need something pocket-able, but it's portability is perfect for just about every other circumstance.

@lazylathe ....you nailed it with this comment and it's worth repeating "Want a portable masquerading as a desktop? Get it!"

The build quality, battery life and most important for all of us ultimately, it's medicating ability. It absolutely shines in this department with the added plus of being a convection vape that makes our favorite herb stash go for some extra miles.

For those on the fence.....take the plunge.

This is a fun thread to read, and I love reading all the excitement and information.

Minor correction: I think you guys mean that it's a "desktop masquerading as a portable," don't you?

Nope!
Portable as a desktop!

A desktop is a vape that requires a connection to the mains power at all times and you cannot move around freely with it.
A portable is usually battery operated.

I know the MV can use the power adapter puck but it is still using the same voltage as the battery would supply.

I've got a few questions. I've been reading along but I don't quite understand a few things.
1) What is the "smaller Arizer basket"? Where could I get one? I gather that there's a bigger basket included with the unit. I also gather that people prefer the baskets to make cleaning easier.
2) Do people put a screen on the top of the materials, to prevent drawing anything up through the mouthpiece? I know that some do that with the Solo.
3) If I'm understanding it correctly, the basket/material is only heated during a draw. Does this mean that the unit is fairly odor-free, except for the exhaled vapor? Could I leave unvaped material in the basket/unit, turn it off, and come back to it the next day ... without a lot of vapor/odor stinking up the joint (as it were)?

Thanks!

1- Not too sure about the size but the EVO?Cloud ELB tops work as well!
2- Yes, all the adapters have space for a screen and it has to be used to keep the material in the unit and out of your mouth.
3- Yes, yes and yes! I vape at night in bed, turn the unit off and place on the floor, no vapor escapes and there is no smell, well not no smell but you have to stick your nose right next to the tube to smell anything. And yes i usually finish the basket in the morning if it is a weekend or later that night.

A well vaped basket always comes out a nice and even brown.

With the battery on this set up holds the heater and battery easily. I can pretty much swing it around my head. :mental:

This is my WT adaptor.
It's the arizer whip mouthpiece with some tubing for a snug fit in a 18 to 14 reducer.

I checked out a video on YouTube.. Pball looks fun. Good luck with that man.

Edit. Gotta click my pics for some reason.

This is awesome! Exactly what I need!

Could you post some more pics of the cap?

Would you consider making more and selling them as a favor?

So long as you have the exact same piece that i have so the fit will be perfect.
I would make one up for you since you are local and i do not want to ship across borders.

I will take a few more pics, it is not the prettiest thing but it is functional and safe!
Also uploading a few videos of the MV in action, kind of hard to do since three hits later i am done!!
First video was 2 hits on GREEN
Second video was one hit at RED

EDIT:

Here are the videos!
Unfortunately i could only manage three hits and then i was over medicated...

@JCat Here are the extra images of the cap!

A desktop is a vape that requires a connection to the mains power at all times and you cannot move around freely with it.

No disagreement from me on the facts, but I'm interested in how we use language so I'm going to press it. To say it's a "portable masquerading as a desktop" would mean that it's really a portable that's dressed up (or pretending to be) a desktop; it seems to me that the fun thing about the mV is the opposite: that it's really a desktop (not in the sense that it's a plug-in but in the sense that it's a convection vape that delivers big time and can be a daily driver) that's dressed up as a portable. In other words, the cool thing is not that it's portable (which is the definition of the battery-version) but that it functions as a desktop. Perhaps the word "masquerading" isn't quite the right word for either phrasing, since that word means pretending to be something you're not. What I think you're really saying is that it works brilliantly as both a desktop and a portable.

Sorry to get caught up in this, and I mean no criticism. Again, I'm always interested in how we deploy language....

Whatever you get off on and makes you happy!
It is sold as a portable Vape but it can also work as a desktop vape.

6 of these, 12 of those...

Pretending to be something you are not - you answered your own question there man...lol!

Looking good @lazylathe

I could easily make a mold to cast those kinds of parts. In fact, I'm creating a WPA for the Firefly this weekend! (Vapor polished the mold, casting a plug tomorrow). Something like this might be easy to design since there's no strange dimensions to work with.....

Ah if only I could afford a minivap
