U think a $60 bucket is expensive? If not it needs to be fully worked?

Sounds like you want to whore trey out for minimal profit in his pocket.

mothership buckets go for $400 +

Worked buckets on IG go for $150 + directly from glass blowers

and u want him to sell his for $50 cause you priced out the materials and think the guy should make minimal profit?

kinda lulzy

He should price his work so that he is as busy as he wants to be (meaning not too high) without too many folks waiting (meaning not too low, either). I'm surprised the pieces I've seen have been priced as low as they have been, especially non-production custom pieces!

(And yes, I'm seriously considering a new piece but waiting for inspiration as what I really want... And good to see you here, Cuban - I'm on a few other local forums :))

Whats up! Yup I do alot of lurking and only post on this thread cuz some of the stuff I see posted in other sections of this forum make my brain go into a vortex..

And get one of these pieces bro!!!! they seem to function the same as the Quaves we see here in WA

Hell, this is what Trey uses for dabbing (No joke)

I own 2 enails (including a DNAIL), nice butane torches, but this baby is my weapon of choice. It rides along shot gun in my car daily for those on the road dabs ;)

I agree the prices for those honey pots should not be dirt cheap. Chinese Ti scares me, can't imagine Chinese quartz. I'd rather Trey team up with his quartz friend. It's fine if the things cost more. I'd rather have something that's healthier and when people see it they know it's my toy.

$70 for that plain ass bucket on eBay is a rip off plain and simple @CubanGrower. Good for you if you have money to throw around on overpriced things but realistically we know the price of the quartz swing and poop already said Trey can bust out a normal dome in ten minutes. So what justifies such high pricing? Glass doesn't cost that much and it is ten minuets of labor, let's double it and call it twenty

Mothership rapes people who find brand name more important than anything else. If a bucket from someone else had the exact same dimensions how would you justify the MS being better or working better or being worth so much more

edit: Trey already produces a klein at roughly 10% the cost of a MS klein and no one said that he was whoring himself out then. Why is a bucket at the same price point so unreasonable?

I agree that the honey pots should not be dirt cheap, simply because Trey's part of the work is worth more.

But, there wouldn't be a single thing wrong with using chinese quartz.
Nearly every quartz domeless nail on the market under $30 is chinese, hundreds of guys on this forum use the cheap bangers that come from China and are resold on Ebay.

You have some information that chinese quartz is somehow unhealthy?
Lots of people on this site sure would appreciate that info. :)

edit: damn, sorry to be party to dragging this thread off topic! My bad.

He's going to take a look.

Heres the thing you guys have to remember. Trey is basically selling to you guys at a retail he's comfortable with. There isnt a middleman.. I make nothing from this. So he's making all the money. Because there isnt a shop in the middle, youre missing that markup. Id be willing to bet that a $200 piece costs the shops NO MORE than $100.00 and thats probably optimistic. He prices his pieces based off how long it will take him to make them and what markup he wants to put in them.

I would like to take a second to thank you @PoopMachine for bringing Trey to us and also doing it free of charge. You are a true bro and I would gladly pay you a ten percent finders fee with my order if you would like. I know that you have turned down offers from others which shows even more so what a stand up guy you are.

I would also like to thank Trey for not having a huge ego about all this because he seems like a one in a thousand glass blower and we are just so incredibly lucky to have him here with us

edit: shop mark up is usually 3x sometimes more sometimes less but that is the average

How many american made quartz nails do you want for $40? Pretty sure my supply is unlimited. I use our local guys' nails in all my pieces. Theyre every bit as good as the ones I see at shops. I paid $40 for mine.

Id like to think if someone else on this forum had this kind of resource they would do the same. Im not gonna say you guys are like family but pretty close. We've been doing some other things that only a few people know about to help support this community. I think you'll probably hear about one of them on Monday.

Trey (And me) are all about doing the right thing and good karma. Its not about the money with either of us.

That's a sweet hook up, bro!
You've got all the connects! :)
If I wasn't good for nails at the moment I'd jump.
If your guy can do the banger style for a good price I think there would be lots of customers on this forum. I've seen lots of guys here recently searching for those and complaining that they've largely disappeared from Ebay.

There are some pretty talented glass guys around here believe it or not. I dont know that there are any as good as Trey but there are some that have local pieces in the shops around here and Trey has a guy that apprenticed under him thats pretty good too. If things keep on like they are, he has been talking about putting a team together to really ramp things up.

The big Klein order left today.. that should make life much easier.

I'll throw my name down as someone who'd be interested in a honey bucket or 2 if trey starts doing them. :brow:

Here are some worked honey buckets to look at and think about while we wait

Duuuude, you're making me feel pain - I need that space worked one

@PoopMachine you should also make sure to show Trey this design. It is a drop down bucket. Because if you are using a drop down you are doing dabs so why not just make it one piece instead of having to worry about 2 separate pieces.
rAFSQG5.jpg

Also if you are making a dedicated oil rig you can even do a built in bucket and include a few quartz swings with purchase
xLuxLfP.jpg

It would make his donut klein a true dabbers delight
Drop down honey bucket - hot damn do I like that :brow:

Built In honey bucket rig makes me a saaaad panda though.

IMO it's so easy to just have a removable honey bucket, and have a joint on the piece, then the user can vape, or dab (or combust:() with relative ease, only requiring maybe an adapter.

Kinda a moot point, since most stuff is gonna be made to order anyway, and I'm sure some peeps would love it, just throwing it out there that I feel like that idea unnecessarily restricts a piece.

Ill touch base with him on these guys sometime this weekend, probably tomorrow. I went to a new shop in town today hoping to see one, I was actually going to buy it so we'd have something to reference but they didnt have any idea what I was talking about.

Going to box up a couple more pieces to go out Monday. I wasnt able to get everything gone Friday.

@Tstat , @Deadhead101 and I hope @LongIslandmom should ship Monday with hopefully 3 or 4 pieces going out next week.

Hot damn that thing is sexy!

Now you got me dreaming of an amber purple egg cycler. I am familiar with Trey pricing for clear stuff but I don't know if I have seen pricing on worked pieces.

How much does a partially worked piece like this go for? How much for a fully worked one like @Deadhead101 ? His klein makes me so jelly

I would pay 100$ for a rainbow color lineworked 14mm female hand ground honey bucket. I think the prices i have seen are pretty ridiculous also.
