even if it doesn't ruin your MFLB (which it prob would)
you've vaping aluminum...
aluminum is known to aggravate many neurogenerative desieases such as Alzheimers, parkinson, ...ect.
don't do it. its not worth the risk to your health or your launch box.
Roger that, thanks.

Hmmm, OF I think you walked into the wrong thread?

On another note, I got my warranty replacement MFLB in finally, NIGHT and DAY difference. Runs MUCH hotter!

Absolutely right, I was thinking the new concentrate screens for Vapman.

OK, aluminum is not what you want against SS since there's current in the mesh. The aluminum is a bunch of tiny short circuits, I suspect with aluminum getting burned in from time to time. Leaks are still a problem, although less so with no hole in the center for sure. Still, it needs the mesh/pad to keep it off the mesh.

Didn't someone use rolling papers for oils at one time? Anyway, no conductors other than more SS is the best idea. The factory tray is the call?

Thanks for catching the vape mix up.

Needless to say I was rather confused by your first answer.
But thanks for this one.
Just don't let it happen again;).

i had the same feeling, when i got my replacement. i was assured by the experts here, that this feeling will pass with use. well, it really did. enjoy it, while it lasts. :)

maybe i'm being nitpicking, but i just wanted to have it off my chest. :) does somebody else find, that the FG has a minor design fault? those "lips" on the bottom part catch some fine grind every time. of course, you can clean it with the brush, but it gets tricky sometimes. if i leave the crumbles there they fall though into the tin. but since the tin is lined with felt, the herbs stick to it due to the velcro effect. so it gets a little messy. wouldn't it be better to make those "lips" straight, so that the grind can fall through into the trench? this would also facilitate the cleaning with the brush.

I feel that after I do a good 100% pa burnoff, I get "near-new" performance. Ymmv
Yep. Before every use, i store the ABV, brush it, put it upside down, and tap gently but firm with something that`s on the table, for example my cellphone:D. The remaining dust falls out. I read somewhere that the wood from the FB should not get hotter than holding a cup of hot coffee. So i plug in the PA at 100% and push it till the wood gets that hot. Then i brush it again, another firm tap and it`s ready for another "like new" vape.

@axakal that used to big me so much.. Now I just anticipate it and gently knock it into my trench or back into the jyarz. You'd think magic flight would remove that lip hey.

believe me, i gently knock on it too in order to get the goodies in a safe place. :) i just can't understand the reason for the "lip". the walls of the grinder are thinner, than the rim that goes into the mflb, and they are a lot more prone to break as i recon. they could shave off the rim on the inside a little, making it a huge improvement in usability. the gentle taping to get the crumbs out is a way to deal with it, but it should be an unneccessary step. it should be just put in the preground material, grind it fine, lift the finishing grinder, store it away without further cleaning involved. straight forward as everything that magic flight produces. :) filling the second trench always triggers the neat freak in me, making me becoming obsessed with getting this tiny piece free of ground material. :)

I agree, the lip is annoying, as well as the felt tin.

The felt lining has saved who knows how many accidental discharges of uncapped batteries. Somewhere back in this thread is a picture of what happens when you put your uncapped LB batteries loose in a metal container. It's not pretty and can be dangerous.

maybe my words were misleading. i was speaking about the felt lining of the small tin for the FG. it's seems to be an overkill as it makes it difficult to collect leftovers, which fell out of the FG. the felt lining of the big tin on the other hand has every right to be there.

I got the tiny bits sticking to the felt lining issue the first few times until I realized if I just put the FG upside down in it's tin, nothing falls out even if you shake the tin, as the top metal part is pressed against the bottom lip of the FG, in a way sort of "closing it".

If you store it like this, the best way to put it out is to put the tin upside down, and to lift the "bottom" part (that is now on top).
That way if particles fall out, they will stay in the metal part of the tin, allowing easy collection.

I just tap on the side of my FG while it's still in the launch box trench. This knocks the bits into the trench. I then remove the top of the FG and brush it if needed and give it another tap or two on the side.

By doing those steps I have never had any specs left behind to get stuck in the little round tin. Easy.

If you cut the lip off the FG you lose support for the sides of the FG. The lip helps hold the FG on the LB when in use. I turn the round FG container upside down like Ano does.
While I'm on here kudos to the person who came up with the idea of using the 7-11 Icee straw on the brush. Very clever.

7-11 Icee straw on the brush? I've tried searching for 'straw' and can't find anything brush related.
