Alright, so I took Vape Dr's suggestions and i think they worked! I'm feeling pretty nice, and the effects are comparable to when i would vape out of the pax, but I'm not even done with the chamber yet. I filled it full with what looked like anywhere from .3-.4 g. I cleaned out the air path and although it didn't seem to be clogged in the 1st place, it was definitely not clogged afterwards. I found that i got nice clouds starting on green, but I had to wait a few sec in between draws to get better vapor. I guess all i had to do was clean it more often . Thank you everyone for the help!

Glad you fixed the problem! I try to run a pipe cleaner through the vapor path at least twice a week to prevent buildup.

I'm loving my Indica for portable use. Obviously it can't compete with my Nano and Lotus, but it's so damn convenient to pack in the morning and toss in my pocket for the work day

@Wolf46 If your Indica has a silicone mouthpiece it is the new version.
The new version has just recently been named the "Noir".
Other than the name, everything is the same my friend.

I have the confirmation via pm from the indica guy that the stainless vapefiend version is the same as the noir except the removable battery.

No Indica has a removable battery. The new version has a replaceable battery, but must be sent back to have the battery replaced. On the positive side, this will start a new warranty period.

As Wednesday approaches and we await the new Indica "Noir"

I thought I would do a quick comparison review between the black beta units and the new production units.

After a week with my stainless steel Indica "Noir" I feel comfortable enough with the unit to give a quick comparison review.

IMO I find the new production Indica "Noir" units perform better than beta units.
The beta units are absolutely amazing, but Mike has improved on them before releasing the final unit to the public.

A few things I personally noticed different about the beta units and the new Indica "Noir" from the first version:
-Faster heat up
-enlarged air path
-upgraded circuit board
-replaceable batteries
-longer battery life
-"sticky" button issues addressed
-Easier to draw from (this may just be me)
-Standard silicone hygienic mouth piece tip

IMO the new Indica "Noir" is a step up from the beta units.
The differences are slight but noticeable when used.
From the outside the Noir looks the same.
On the inside there have been several improvements, on the outside they still have the same great look.

Same great vape with a brand new name!

The Indica "Noir". Projected availability is Wednesday October 15th 2014

I do believe the Indica "Noir" is just the start of making an already great portable vaporizer the best of the best!
I see only great things in store from Indica.
Indica is very passionate about getting us, the "masses" the best portable vaporizer possible.

IMHO this would not be possible if it was not for us, the FC community and Indica owners alike voicing our thoughts, opinions, compliments and criticism.

With the help of everyone, Indica will constantly strive to improve for us the consumer.

Excellent job Indica!
Keep up the great work!

The Indica's precision for detail with the beta unit that i have is great and the Noir is better? It must really be a prize of a portable vaporizer. The attention to the finer additions like the spacers and the lid, not to mention the detachable magnetic door. The mouthpiece is very comfortable to draw from.

This unit is one to add to your collection. Plus it produces great vapor flavor and clouds, what's better than that?

I will be looking forward to everybody's reviews and opinions. May everything run smoothly.

just for the record and for help those people in europe that want to buy an indica from vapefiend, this is the pm that the indica people send to me about the differences about the stainless vapeviend version and the noir version:

Hi Wolf,
The Vapefiend is identical to the Noir less the replaceable battery. Beyond that and the outer shell it is a duplicate product. I can't recollect if we included the silicone mouthpiece, but that should not be a deal breaker.
Michael

so buy it without fear of an older model.
this is the noir version with the stainless shell (best looking version if you ask me) without the replaceable battery (like many high end smarthphone, so not a big problem for me), and maybe the abscence of the silicon mouthpiece.

good job indica people.

Hey all!

I wanted to give you a sneak peek at my recent weekend project. A 3D printed Loading funnel for the Indica!

Quite proud of myself on this one. Didn't take long to design, and works quite well to cover all the crevasses of the oven compartment while loading the Indica. Simply remove oven door, pop on the funnel, and start loading. The spacers fit perfectly through the funnel to pack everything down.

Preliminary testing is looking REALLY good. And it's small enough I might be able to ship in a standard envelope! ($0.49 shipping!)

It should be available on my etsy store sometime this week at an extremely affordable price

Hi Mike, do you have an estimated (or precise) date that the Noir will be released via Vapefiend?

I'd much prefer to buy from a UK distributor and remember reading an earlier post in which you said he would be stocking them.

@g0ldik0va ,this will depend on the enthusiasm of the European community. Once the initial product quantity has been depleted, I'm sure Vapefiend will be reordering quickly. Spreading the word. This is the best way to help bring the "Noir" to the UK.

@Indica Vaporizer, sorry if I didn't take the time to read the whole thread but I saw something about a Indica in Black Matte with a replaceable battery?
What kind of battery?
When will it be available?
Is there a Canadian supplier for it?

Thanks

The batteries are replaceable, but not by the user, it has to be sent back to Indica to have them replaced. The kind of battery then is not important to you since you won't be replacing them yourself.

This is a very important distinction that needs to be made clearer by all these various retailers.

UPS has all "Noir" captive but in transit to the warehouse. It looks like the projected shopping cart's launch of item# 400, "Noir" will likely be Friday or Saturday, October 17th or 18th, to ensure we have product before taking orders. Shipping will likely begin Monday the 20th on the outside. We're almost there.

The sound of vapor
I'm thinking of getting the shiny metal one and sand-papering it to give it a brushed metal look, am I nuts? Also the body's made of stainless steel right?

@Indica Vaporizer: that wouldn't void the warranty would it?

my indica work like a champ (like my previous favorite vap aka inhXP).

the taste is very good, a little better compare to the flawermate, on par with the inhxp, and a little worst than solo and ascent.
Vote: 7,5-8

the efficiency is outstanding, better then every vape i have, on par with the inhxp.
with half load and 1 spacer, i vape for 3 session and a half (1 session on blue, half session on green, 1 session on purple and one session on red), so 35 min of vaping, and the the abv is real darker (maybe even too much), but i like the vape-smoke thing, so for me is not a problem.
Vote: 10

the build quality is good but the black plastic parts look a little cheap, the metal part is very good.
the oven is a little tricky to load, but it's better than flowermate, so for me its ok.
Vote: 7,5-8

the draw resistence for me it's almost perfect.
i love a little resistance when i draw, and the airpath is larger enough for big long draw.
the vapor is a little warm at setting 4 and 5 but still pleasant.
the vapefiend version arrive without the silicone mouthpiece and its a shame because the mouthpiece get a little warmer at high setting...again nothing to worry about it, but still a shame...i hope that vapefiend start to sell the optional for the indica very soon.
the unit itself became very warm at mid-highest setting.

i do only 2 burn off at red and the 3 session and a half of the test, so i cannot talk about the battery.

other impression soon and sorry for my terrible english.
