On a Möbius plane
Hi GSH,

the pieces that you so wonderfully displayed, are they the "small" donut klein's?

Thanks,
Bud
I have two different pieces, a large size standard klein and a small size donut klein...

Heights to the mouthpieces are both around 10-11 inches.

The standard Klein has a lot more volume though, so in that sense it is "larger" than the donut klein.

Im sure he could.

Double #4 is in my hands and actually in one piece.

Tstat, your piece is done except he forgot to put a base on it. He just took it back to the shop to do that and he's going to drop it off here tomorrow. I have a meeting early tomorrow so I probably wont be able to ship until Wednesday anyway.

Mmm... Weekend delivery, perhaps :) I hope I love this thing as much as I think I'm going to. I already want a Klein with some color..

Ive been talking for a couple of weeks about a glassblower I met that does pretty awesome work. I think he's finally at a point he can start taking orders for you guys so I wanted to post up some information.

Trey Willits is the owner of Doughboy Glass. He has been blowing glass for 15 years. He used to own part of SYN with Fat Mike. He's been doing a lot of stuff for local shops, custom pieces, repairs, etc but Im going to help him out with getting established on the Internet so he can expand his market. I met him when he repaired my Mobius that the base broke on and we hit it off. He's a straight shooter, has an incredible work ethic and I hear he's a pretty good drummer.

So, I thought Id post up some pictures of some stuff he's done. Ive been talking to him about some vapor specific pieces and he has two pieces he wants to do as a "standard" line but he can do about anything, included worked versions of these pieces.

One is a standard recycler with a tungsten punctured inline. He will be selling this piece for $175.00 plus freight.

He will also be offering a Klein recycler for $225.00 plus freight

Both of these units will have a wide base on them to support a vape and a 18mm female joint (Unless specified otherwise)

He also does a mini recycler that a couple of people here have ordered from him and I shipped the first one for Trey today. You guys should have a report on it by Thursday. Trey is getting $95.00 for these.

Id say right now turnaround on about anything is a week or so.

Standard disclaimer: I dont work for Trey, I have no stake in his business, and I dont make a dime off of helping him. Once he's up to speed on this ding dang Interweb thing, Im going to step out and let him handle all aspects, Im just helping him out as a friend until he's ready to take the wheel.

Without further delay, here's some pics.

If anyone would like to commission a piece from Trey, you can PM me. Ill talk to him, get you a price and he'll make it. No money up front as long as no one leaves him holding the bag.

Im really excited about working with Trey. He can make pretty much anything, his prices are incredibly reasonable for the quality of work he provides and its been cool to give him input on vapor specific things for pieces and see him incorporate it.

Im supposed to pick up a recycler from him tonight for my own use!!!! Ill be posting a function video of it hopefully tonight.
I'm the fc member who just had nodes removed from my throat today I learned that the biopsy was negative for cancer :) I am all over the site trying to find a new glass piece I have an evo exhale with side circ. I need a lot of diffusion and just want something simple. I can't do möbius. I'm 55 mother of 3; 1 just graduated law school, 1 just graduated u of mich. The max I will spend is 150

I have a lot of members steering me to DH and I might do that. I still can't do anything for a few weeks
Doughboy came up in the cheap glass thread. Is there something with really good diffusion; I don't care about flavor. Any suggestions

Some type of recycler with a triple gridded 10 slit inline perc. That would be 40 holes total and with the awesome cooling factor of a recycler I can't imagine needing more than that even with a medical condition

I can confirm that any recycler with 20 or more holes of diffusion really cools the vapor. The current double recycler I have from Trey has about 20 holes and that makes the draw incredibly smooth and the vapor is extremely cooler than most of my other pieces.

If Trey could do 40ish holes I know that vapor will be as cool as possible :D

And I can confirm that LongIslandmom should take BoogerMan's advice over mine. He has ALOT of glassware (including the double honeycomb I recommended). This guy knows his stuff.

Thanks @olivianewtonjohn!

Don't get me wrong multiple honeycombs or multiple fritted disks does probably produce a cooler vapor but I guess it depends on what size piece @LongIslandmom would like.

If she doesn't care about size then Trey could make something ridiculous with so much vapor water contact that it would make our heads spin, but if she wants to keep it small and more inconspicuous then I would go with a little 8-10 inch recycler with 40+ holes and place the perc about 1/3-1/2 way up the can so the vapor travels through quite a bit of water but doesn't create a huge chug which chug usually isn't ideal for some people that don't have the lungs of a 20 year old anymore.

I have no idea if this is just a mind set but I feel like recyclers and Kleins get you medicated faster than some other pieces I own which would be great for @LongIslandmom since she just wants to get medicated without having to vape a bunch. @Cannabis Connoisseur said the same thing about his Klein HT. So even though a double honeycomb may produce slightly cooler vapor in theory (I don't believe this theory as much as others, but some people swear by it) I feel like I have to vape more though my non recycler pieces to get just as medicated as when I vape through my recyclers.

@LongIslandmom please feel free to ask any questions you have! Many of us would be more than happy to help and offer our advice/experience. A lot of this stuff can be overwhelming at times because there are so many different options but we can help you get the piece that should work best for you :D

Oh and I got some good news from PoopMachine tonight. Double recycler #4 didn't explode and is in Poops hands awaiting shipment. I hope he gets to test it out a little before shipping it :D

@LongIslandmom I would like to steer you away from honeycomb. My buddy has a triple honeycomb to turbine and even purchased a honeycomb ash catcher. Long story short, it is a massive harsh hit. The honeycomb creates a bubble froth and it looks impressive but froth does not have enough cooling power plain and simple.

You want a gridded perc that is submerged under a decent amount of water so your bubbles have time for vapor inside to cool. Traveling up the uptake tube into the vortex chamber creates even more cooling action.

Recyclers are amazing

That's definitely true and that is why I think recyclers get me more medicated and have cooler vapor than other pieces, even though these other pieces I speak of have more diffusion.

In theory that "froth" from the honeycomb/fritted disks creates a huge surface area of water for many more points of the vapor to come in contact with which would essentially cool the vapor more… However, like blankrider is saying sometimes that huge surface area of super thin water doesn't have enough power to cool like a recycler does.

Again that is just theory that I don't believe is always true like @blankrider is saying.

I guess everyone has a personal preference and experience. Some people say honeycombs cool more and some people say recyclers cool more.

From my experience I have to agree with @blankrider and throw out the honeycomb theory because from MY experience my recyclers beat my honeycombs/matrix/showerheads/trees any day of the week. Like blankrider is saying if you can get the vapor to pass through enough water in the recycler (which it will if it is properly made) then that should be the coolest vapor possible (even though less vapor area comes in contact with the water compared to a honeycomb's froth).

I am a new member but long time lurker, and I recently got a Vapexhale Cloud Evo, and I got the Swagger Showercap, It's Ok, but I like what I see from @PoopMachine and @Doughboy$ , where can I see your tubes that are available, i am interested in the Klein piece.

You'll have to go back through the thread to see the other pieces or use your imagination about what you want and see if Trey can create your dream piece

We're going to start on the next batch probably tomorrow, Thursday at the latest. There are two pieces still for here that need to get done. I cant really say too much about them. I just talked to him and asked him to work harder so maybe that will help :)

I think the recycler is winning the election. Blankrider and BoogerMan welcome to team LIMOM "get the girl a flicking piece already"
I agree with both of you although I'm so new to this I don't know half of what is being written. I never expected the response to be so big. ONJ is on point and I am being steered towards an awesome recycler by 2 guardian angels who I don't want to name yet. ONJ you are so right that this can be overwhelming because there is a lot to choose from and I only started the evo in May. I never social networked until this site; my 25 and 22 yr old would be horrified to find me on Facebook. I do know that I have to work on throat muscles (shout out to oldiebutgoodie) and I must bring down the temp. I'm old and am what I think you all call a cloud chaser. Gotta cut that out and be glad that I can do it at all. Also the evo is great but the selection of water tools leaves a lot to be desired and instead of selling out of pieces he should allow these excellent pieces to be shown on his site. StoneMonkey55's time would be better spent on devising a smaller companion piece that is more portable and can go head to head with the solo. I don't find anything like what's going on here on the evo site for water tools and I may just post that. That is of course IMHO

If the country was as cool and caring as this site we wouldn't have mass shootings, kids being shot in the street, countries at war. I am just so amazed by all of this. I make my husband and girlfriends laugh - my first social networking - I site devoted to vaporizing. So me

Ok here come a bunch of really stupid ?s. What does it mean if you have been awarded a trophy. I assume that's good but I don't know what it means.. Where does everyone get the beautiful icons. Are they somewhere that I'm not looking

I just totally blew my really cool status and everyone knows what an idiot I am. But everyone is so forgiving and I want to make my posts as beautiful as all this glassware.

Im never going to another headshop again. I can tell you about every senate race happening. I'm racing thru house of cards on DVD right now. (Sent by my brother as a get well present,). I could probably answer any revolutionary, civil or WW2 question out there. I can give up my secret recipe to my pecan pie. I'm pretty good on old rock and roll. I just don't know about water tools or where to find these icons. And I'm winning trophy and don't know what that means. The monitor is gonna throw me off for being off topic

I am one sick puppy; I know those eyes are rolling. My dad was involved in the investigation out of New Orleans that involved the JFK assassination. So somebody give up the icons and trophies. I am one very needy voiceless mom.
