Vaporbrothers VB2

Hmm alright ill try the paper towel. Are u certain the 00 SS wool is not coarse enough the rough up the edges; I would prefer to stick to my cotton. I only dab about a gram a week, what would u say clean it every 12 days?

Clean it as often as you feel you need to.
When it cause you to not feel good about yourself, then it is time to clean it.
It is about self image.
I use a razor blade, very aggressively on the walls.
I leave it at that, but about once every 60 -90 days I use a tiny ball of 000 steel wool with a touch of Iso.. not enough to drip.
I dry with paper towel when done.

That sounds good. If you use steel wool use 0000 "super fine" . . .

I have been using 000 in spite of owning 0000.
I found it not abrasive enough to damage things and it cleans faster.
0000 is however always a safer and gentler bet.

I clean my VB2 whenever my girlfriend says it looks gross. I use the 0000 steel just like @Vitolo and @t-dub have shown. It works wonderfully and if you tilt upside down then nothing can drip down to heating element. And if you have a little control, then you don't even need the paper towel piece to cover heating element. For me personally the device works just as well with walls caked with sticky oil as it does brand new.
Also quick review on 10mm female top with 10mm direct draw straw.
I love it! The 10mm female top is slightly taller then the top that connects the silicon hoses. I feel this allowed me a better hit for some reason. Before this device i always used a dab rig with water. Now with the direct draw and the VB2 I only do dry hits and it is not only smoother but tastier.

Hi there everybody !

Just a quick response to this cleaning question that I see.
Clean my unit once a week first take a glass dome off and drop it in a small bowl of iso while it's soaking I take steel wool and quickly scrub around by hand the inside of the bowl.
I don't even know what number steel wool I'm using but it works easily well. I tip the unit upside down to make sure any of the loose resin just falls out instead of going to the machine. Then I take a paper towel and dip in the ISO and wipe around bowl. Than intake the dome out of the ISO wipe it down rinse it off and put back on. Whole process takes me about 7 to 8 minutes.

Far as the ceramic heater goes run it on high till clean and white.

Hope this helps.

Haha, thanks @vaporbrothers but no need around here! I'm with Vito..when that red light comes on it usually means I totally spaced (read: glad it shut off!) :ko:

Is it dangerous to wipe it down a little after use? (not hot but warm so the buildup is still liquid) Could a paper towel leave organic remnants?

Also @vaporbrothers, do you plan on offering replacement ceramic discs? I'm down to one... the other coming to a non-vapor-related demise, entirely my fault.

watch out wiping things down inside the chamber, it is surprising how much heat it can store up in there, I have taken the ceramic disk out 15 min after shut down and that sucker can still burn you or ignite a paper towel. Personally I have found not doing anything to the sides, let it bake on and when it bothers you the 0000 steel wool with alcohol only takes a few moments to get things white again.

I picked up a few ceramic disks from VB when I ordered the glass straw and dome. I don't think I saw them at VaporWarehouse but they might have some as well.

So how much "cake" would start being detrimental to the unit. Is the claim you guys are wasting really that negligible?

By cake do you mean "build-up"?
If so, it is detrimental only to the eye, until it reaches a point where the buildup begins to be gooey, and then it could attract deposits of further goo... but it should not affect the units function.
Using common sense we would see when the cake is thick enough to hamper function.
Clean-up is more a matter of self concept, and being pleased with yourself in the area of the tools you are using.
This aspect is an important part of the medication experience in my eyes.

I think Vitolo & GR answered well but I'd like to add that the only thing you really have to baby is the heating element itself (the white ceramic plate under the disc). If the heater is still hot, like over 180F, it shouldn't see any moisture.

Definitely be careful with the hot disc falling out of the unit when you pick it up.

Yes we do provide the discs as they are expendable- available at vaporwarehouse. Sorry, out of stock there for a few days as I'm getting a bunch more molded/fired this week. If you need one right now, direct mssg me. :)

dont get me wrong, i love the little gauges and the stick people on the ladder...but the sloppy "sketch handwriting" bores me...and turns me off from it completely. Same goes for the vb2...it looks so regal and sophisticated then the sketch work comes along and dumbs it down....

Man I woulda bought that zachP 2 week ago too; Amazing Art Even These Buzz words. Good thing this 200 hundo breaking her in has been eexcellent. Has anyone hit the cheese box when it was off yet? So baked.. how well does it work with the three draw some point earlier said it was too much IIRC.

My VB2 has returned home, hope she stays this time!

Edit: 4 dabs later I completely forgive her, she is just that good.
Mine as well. Using an electronic outlet to keep her on 24/7 . . . :) This is a shitty pic (Devastator removed from pad to show Leviton plug-in timer) but it shows my basic lab redesign. Because this timer has over 48 events and can cycle every half hour, and my VB2 off-timer was increased to 33 minutes, I can now have my Cloud EVO and my VB2 always on. Dabs to the left, flowers to the right . . . :D
