Vapolution 2.0 vs log vapes

Can someone please help me figure out the pros and cons between these 2 kinds of vapes? The logs I was looking at were the HI, the UD, and the E-Nano, but so far my top choice is the UD (the HI's waiting list is too long, and I prefer 12V DC instead of the 115V AC on the nano).

Thanks!

The Vapo2 has an all glass air path, while the logs use (mostly) stainless steel with nylon/silicone/glass.
Log vapes are much prettier and hand built, but the Vapo2 is much less expensive. Logs can be left on all day, as well. I wouldn't recommend that for the Vapolution. :2c:

Stu, I know that the current log manufactures have stated that they have overcome the internal charring along with the associated problems of that charring that was present with the PD. This has always been a concern with leaving the PD on 24/7. Has this, in fact, been TOTALLY eliminated with the newer designs? Is there a complete absence of a woody smell from the heat port when these logs are up to operating temps?

I can speak to the CRZ, UD aircore and HI and say that it has been totally eliminated from my experience.

Wow............that's great. I started to get a twinge of health concerns breathing in charring wood and it's one of the reasons I got the LSV. It's such a beautiful design, that it's nice to know that the one main weak point has been totally eliminated.

Full disclosure: I have to admit that I never really smelled the wood from my PDs either (even though I knew that charring was occuring), so I may not be the best person to opine on the subject.

Did ya ever stick your nose close to the heat port and breath in?

Probably. Do I remember what it smelled like? No.

All my PDs are out on loan at the moment (as if they might return someday) so I can't check now. Do you smell the woodyness still from your PD?

Yup, from all three of them. Some more than others, but they all had that woody smell to one extent or another. They also all developed the old dreaded heater rattle which is also a direct result of internal charring.

There is an option for you're PD which would eliminate the burnt wood taste or smell.
Im sure Alan would set aside time for You if you ask him nicely.

@lwien, you really need to try an E-Nano...you won't look back, like a much more efficient LSV. No charring or smells ever, going on a year not a single issue or rattle (Andy installs stainless shims). Best tasting most efficient vaporizer I own, my go to DD.

Thanks so much for the advice guys but being that I'm so satisfied with my LSV, unless I can realize some clear advantages over it, I can't really see spending any more money on a vaporizer, be it a new one or modding an old one.

Well, although I personally have never used an LSV, from what I have read - the E-Nano (or any log probably) is way more efficient for starters. It's also alot smaller/better form factor for water tool usage/gong IMO.

The VAP2 for $100 using the code on the first post of its thread on this forum is the best deal out there, imo. The taste is unrivaled, it has variable temp control and doesn't require a grinder. If you want something pretty to look at then spend more on a log vape. I can tell you I expect you to be happy with whatever route you go...they both excel!

How is that Aircore up against your HI? I have a standard and a Aircore, on the list also..

Edit-didn't realize this in someone's thread! My bad!

Exactly my thoughts. I would add that while my Hi is very pretty and reliable, I actually got more consistent results with the vap2?

@Stu - I left my Vap2 on at around 10:00 for very long periods of time with no issue and I would not leave my Hi on at full power all the time either. There is just no need and it puts wear omn the element. The warmup time from 8 volts to full power is about how long it takes to fill a bowl anyhow.
