Davinci by Karma

So my unit came last saturday and ive had it for almost 4 days and i've used it every day 2-3 times a day. I'd say so far i like it alot. I use it sleathily and it works well for that. At first it had a plasticy taste to it but after 2 burnoffs and normal use it has minimized substancially. I've noticed it works best when you fill it to near full capacity, like .2-.25 in one bowl. The battery is decent i guess but i keep it charged up usually. The annoying things are: its a pain to get abv out sometimes after a sesh, and also you gotta let it cool dwn before you put it away(not that big of a deal to me). It has me quite medicated now. So i hope everything i said is coherent lol. So overall i'd give this a 8.5/10
Got it for 112 shipped with warranty btw

I absolutely love mine as well and may consider getting a second one for backup. The second my session is over I tend to take off the mouthpiece so it avoids getting stuck AND its much easier to empty out of the abv as well. Almost like a poor mans pax that functions just as good but instead of being small and discrete its more deceivingly discrete if that makes sense. VERY easy to fool someone into thinking its a walkie talkie, espcially since it just has a power button, and a plus and minus button. Im headed out tomorrow to test it on the beach and use it walking up and down while I observe the people to see if they make any funny faces.

Took mine to the beach last weekend and nobody seemed to notice at all. I have missed having my "radio" available to me. I am so glad I was able to replace the charger and that was all that was really wrong with it.

I wish we had the ability to replace our batteries, though. My unit usually lasts 4-5 sessions on a full charge and recently it feels like 3 sessions, max (that's maximum sessions per charge, not the unit on max heat).

Hey everyone, recently the flexi-straw for my Da Vinci vaporizer broke, so I ordered a new one. It arrived today and I'm very keen to start vaping again, but the straw doesn't fit into the vaporizer? Can anyone tell me what's wrong? I've attached a photo so you guys can see what I'm dealing with. Thanks heaps!

Kidfated Nailed it. That shinny metal piece is the base of the old flexi straw. Take a pair of needle nose pliers or something similar to unscrew and remove it. You may have to heat it up for 5-10 minutes to loosen it up due to oils that builds up on the threads. Unscrew it and your good to go.

The straws on this model break so often because people tighten them too much, and/or they get a little sticky from vape residue, and then the straw gives before the screw connection does. There isn't a lot of surface area on the metal connection to grab, making it fairly easy to grab too much of the straw and break it. This area should be cleaned frequently so it won't bind up when the residue gets cold and glue like, and it shouldn't be tightened any more than is necessary to get to the end of the screw thread. It's better IMO to have to check frequently for sufficient tightness to avoid it coming unscrewed than to have it too tight and not be able to get it off because residue has glued it on, especially since you can damage it with pliars if you're not careful. Since they redesigned the lid, adding the magnetic closure, the straw is even more difficult to grab on the metal part for unscrewing than the original design was.

Hello...
I just picked up a green da vinci and so far so good...ill never understand the brush,..i guess my fingers are too fat because that little thing is kinda insulting.
The whole deck and chamber are almost identical if not exact to the No2...besides the brass....which is cool...easy to stir it on up here and there.
The upper screen holder is what seperates miles from the No2 tho IMO,..the screen holder screw thing on the No2 sucks..its grommets and washers and plastics and what not and pretty tight... It just screams "i will fail".... but the metal screw cap on the da vinci is clutch...could be wider but hell...its not a plenty.
Like i said,..only a few days in snd its good... i do notice however,...like most vapes,.but this one especially,.. likes to be HOT...from cold the vape is skiddish,...but when shes hot,...she seems,...or at least mine seems to shine.
Thank you all for such educational and interesting posts...i learn something new every day.

Upon some normal use iv found myself extremely annoyed w/ the upper screen system...particularly the one under the screw cap...it was gunking up constantly.
I took the cap off and lower screen out...put the cap back back on so i dont lose it...i will....and just placed a ssv wand screen over my load....i left tje upper m/p screen in in case any problems....but there was nothing but unobstructed thick vapor.
This screen has to be cleaned as well but its nothing compared to that little tiny thing....it really opened things up.

I just received a couple of the newer designed Flexi straw mouthpieces, before today all my replacements were the original with that thick braided crap covering that wouldn't "flex" often without self destructing.

These new ones look and feel like they'll last much longer than the 3-4 months max lifespan i got out of the older style.

I still haven't found another electronic portable that serves my needs as well as my Original DaVinci. My only complaint was the fragile flexi straw problems i've had, because the darned things ain't cheap to replace.
Now if these flexi mouthpieces last, new vaporizers in the same class as the DV will need to be really spectacular in some way hitherto Unseen or unheard of for me to ever consider retiring my Davinci.

No @silvercloud358 only flowers, can't find much in the way of concentrates here where i am.
I have actually reduced my useage down to .80-1.0 gram a day over the last six weeks from around three grams a day.

I do love my herb for recreation and that's where my tolerance matters my medical needs seem to stay the same and can still only use from .20-.50 gm a day depending on the quality of herbs.

Hope that makes sense 'cause I actually did just do a what has been a days worth of meds in one session trying out the new flexi straw.

Hey what is the difference of the two?
ACCENT is not the same?
Your consumption is pretty normal!

The accent is quite different in shape (like a squashed football), won't stand up , bowls on the bottom and you twist the body open to expose/fill/empty the bowl (kind of awkward for me) has some more advanced electronic functions like automaticly raising the temp throughout a session and stuff plus an all glass vapor path with that (for me all too delicate) glass screen thing. I tried one out for a week or two and didn't care for it or feel it to be an improvement over the first Davinci, in function it never really came close.

the original still blows the accent out of the water as far as I'm concerned, still ain't been beat out by another pocket portable yet for me.

I think you know what potable I use everyday?

Do I bring the one I have on a road trip (save $) or do I get one of these)?

Solo right? :D

The DV doesn't taste as nice as the solo but it pumps out some great clouds imo. Great for a road trip.

Only thing the Solo would have over it in the on-the-go department would be the ease of dumping out AVB. The DV is easy to pack but does require a pick to unpack whereas I find a light thump drops everything out of my solo stem.

Digital temp control on DV is nice too. :)

I use a SOLO the most of every thing I own. Maybe because the flavor is bearable? I can blow out the ABV fast and easy. Number and temperature are important for some? Analog is fine if your senses are dialed in.

Do I buy a $15 car charger or another portable vaporizer?

Thank you for the information!

I agree. I find that I stick to a temp range, or vaporstep, when using the DV-same as with the Solo.

A $15 dollar charger is cheaper...but perhaps not as satisfying?

If flavor is most important I'd say the DV might miss your mark. It medicates just as well as the Solo though!
