they might add a standard knob to your order, send them an email or make a comment on your order if possible. personally im quite sure that i prefer the standard one over a custom one, but why not both?

I decided I am probably going to order it from Vapornation, some good add ons and good price and since they are an authorized retailer shouldnt have any issues.

Ill touch on their custom knobs real quick. I think they are neat looking, but when they were made, they could have spend an extra 5 seconds on each one to make sure they sit flush. Even my SSV knob has a good 1/4" gap between the base of the knob and the unit. I chalk it up to the same category as the crooked heater covers, and crooked heating elements. Wonderful machine, crappy quality control.

That being said, you couldn't pry this thing out of my hands if you tried.

That's where I bought mine. With discount it's unbeatable unless you are really set on custom colors, etc.
And authorized dealer is key

I've decided to take the plunge and get an LSV, however i have a few questions first.

From the videos i've seen, the glass stem that comes with it seems very long and seems a bit uncomfortable to use. is this true and if so, what is the recommended replacement stem (i think i had seen something about an SSV wand mentioned a few times, not sure though).

Also, what would you guys recommend as the first piece of glass i get to compliment my LSV. I am extremely uneducated when it comes to glassware, all i really know are the basics, so any help would be great.

Thanks!

The LSV has a choice of the shorty transfer wand or the regular.
Order the shorty.
Is the shorty only sold separately? because i dont see an option for wand size on either the LSV site or vaporworld, but i see it ass a separate accessory. if so... thats a bummer. oh well

I don't think it is too much extra for the shorty wand and that way you have the option for the longer or shorter, I think I will like the longer one just to cool the vapor a bit more...I also got the shorty WPA so I can attach to my straight tube, I think the hits will be better through that than through my large Medicali beaker.. and especially with the discount code on vapornation and the extras they give you, it will be a really good price all together

yeah the price isnt really much a problem, i just wanted to make sure i wasnt missing the option to select short or long.

Put in an order for a 14mm female WPA from Higher Elevations, in the mean time I rigged up part of my eclipse vaporizer to work in place of it.

Just got mine in the mail yesterday and am loving it so far! Very good taste and love hitting it with the WPA...I am going to look into rigging it similar to many do in here with the male/male adapters and I also think I read people saying a mic stand was a good thing to hold it up when not using it, otherwise for now I am just keeping it in the bag when not in use.

one thing I don't like about the LSV is that its constantly connected via GonG and because of that I feel like its still heating up your vapor and your losing some while not taking a hit.

your thoughts?

I never let my bud even touch the screen on the top of the heater cover so for me, this is never an issue.

When you say constantly connected, do you mean you are not removing the wand between hits? Or are you referring to a water pipe adapter. If you're referring to the WPA, I can't comment as i use 7th floors spherical ground glass. If you are using a 18-18 adapter, I was under the impression that it is still wise to remove it from the LSV and stir between hits.

I pull the LSV away from the stem, WPA, or 18 adapter after every hit. I definitely wouldn't leave it connected to a WT by an 18 adapter. The weight on the joint probably isn't a good idea.

That doesn't make sense to me.
If you're keeping the LSV and whatever herb chamber connected the whole time, then IMO you're doing it wrong.

The LSV is almost exclusively convection - there's very little unwanted roasting of your herb when you're not sucking on it.

Also, the 7th floor wpa literally doesn't allow you to make a connection without you physically holding the vape... (the spherical connection allows movement and doesn't lock into place like standard gong joints)

i just bought an LSV online today.
anyway I can tell if its the current model?
by serial #?

EDIT: Also what size screens does the LSV use?
links?
Also should I get the long or short WPA???
whats the difference? one holds more material?
GET THE SHORT.
The long one is just stupid IMO.
I've read multiple members have issues getting good hits with the long WPA (because the herb is further away from the heater) and the shorty holds more than enough for some massive, dense hits.

The only revision I can remember the LSV having is the relatively minor addition of the strain relief.

The LSV uses a larger screen in the heater cover, and I believe it uses the same screens as the SSV in the WPA?

Long holds a lot of material. Go with the shorty! (Should still be enough for 2-3)

edit: too slow :haw:
