For other users of the stock gong. I am finding the screen looks clear but the airflow has effectively stopped in my gong. I can get a couple hits out of it to clear up the airflow for a couple more bowls but then it's stick again.

I would normally clean the screen in this case but I can't scrape anything off the top or bottom of the screen? So I don't know where The air lock is coming from

I don't have an epick or whatever so I wasn't too excited about removing a screen.

I usually soak my GonG's in ISO with the screen still installed. Another thing you can try is setting your nano to 10 and hit the gong a few times - you'll get some huge vapor clouds from all that resin

Personally I just rinse remove the screen and rinse the gong with hot water from the tap, this is usually enough to blast everything out. If there is extra goo after this I just get a qtip dipped in iso and swab it out

As for my screens, I have tried heating them with a butane torch and soaking them in iso and I find I prefer to just soak them in iso for a few minutes and swirl. I dont like the oxidized look they get from the torch.

As for removing the screen, I usually just use a normal pencil to push it in/out

I noticed this too. My theory is they require some airflow through the sides of the screen, as that is where mine are always caked with a resin-dust mix. I had this same issue with the stock SSV screen, you could see through the middle of the screen plain as day but it still felt restricted when the edges where caked.

I've been swapping mine out every two sessions, I'm a stickler for good air-flow. I use the same jar of ISO over and over, so there is little cost and I get to reclaim the resin. It's faster than collecting kief.

Yes, that is pretty much what I would want, is that really as bad of a thing as you make it seem? I'm not trying to hate on fregglepops, infact I said " it's nice to see someone get something for their pain and suffering". I thought epic vape paid for shipping on warranty issues anyway, but if they don't pay for shipping out of United States, then I totally understand and am sorry for my rant. I don't want to argue at all over this matter, I love my nano, and I love FC, so I won't comment anymore on this subject. Happy vaping everyone! :)
I should have put a goodie in there for you. I'm not all alone anymore, I have Nadia helping out and she's trying to get me to stop with all the freebies...but I still sneak some out...

So that's why you hired her? Someone else to blame, :D.

I'm blown away by this community, every vendor I've dealt with (except one) has gone above and beyond the Customer Service we have come to expect here in the US. IMO this pays huge dividends in returning repeat customers.

I was just informed by Andy that my custom Amboyna Burl nano is complete and hopefully will be shipped today! I'm extremely excited to see what all the rave is about with this "epic" vape:brow:. I'm sure I'll be a proud member of this e-nano family. HURRY UP POSTAGE!!!!!

I hooked up a friend with my non 1st gen nano. Now I will be saving to pick out a nice block of @Snappo wood from one of his future shipments to make an exotic nano out of. What a good vape. Blows all the others I own out of the water IMO. IMO only the HI can stand up to this but I consider it to be a very different beast although they are both log vapes. Oh what a fool I was to once think dropping $$$ on a vape would actually result in an objectively better vaping experience but that is clearly wrong.

Call me a NANOVANGELIST

Edit:@tweak yes I agree! Totally forgot it was tbe same thing I ran into with my SSV. I have been hesitant to clean my gong though because I hate when I clean things with ISO and still can taste it afterwards...

(Edit 2: I took out the screen and washed it with ISO and hits better again ;))

I hardly clean mine either, I prefer them dirty so they hold the screen better. They don't get half as dirty as stems.

Did you order extras? I almost lost my first couple screens so I knew I needed to order some spares. Two packs of 5, should last me a lifetime.

So how do you compare the SSV vs the Nano? I hit my nano GonG using the SSV (standard) the other night, a bit unwieldy but it worked like a charm. :ko:

I really would like to convert it to a heat port, maybe one day when I get the new rumored portable LSV,.

Doin' the happy dance-shipping notice!

So happy as my partner has 'fallen' for my Nano. Will be glad when the new one arrives so I can get mine back. Apparently I don't share well. :uhoh:

@ACE OF VAPE, am psyched to see the new one! @Snappo , ditto man. It'll be like unwrapping a present! :D
Take your plug in vaporizers and put them properly in the trash bin!
My plug in is a NANO!
You can buy a $750 or $450 plug in or a NANO.

Funny because water pairing the NANO schools them all.
The size of the NANO makes the competition very DATED!

I didn't buy more screens until after macbill posted his tips for making your own basket screens. I'm impressed at their structural integrity.

i'm confused though, can you explain how you were able to use the nano gong with the ssv? did you put the whip on the gong end?

funny you ask this though since i was thinking about nano vs ssv earlier today, as my clouds have seen less action in recent times compared to my ssv which was my go to until i got the nano. i broke out the ssv again and it definitely still works well.

i don't like doing small loads out of the ssv. with the nano tiny loads work wonders like with the cloud. huge vapor immediately. the ssv i always liked filling the standard wand nearly to the brim and stir the whole time. the ssv i would take pretty big hits for a long time and take a long time to kill the bowl. with the nano i will fill the gong up halfway and take a few enormous dense rips.

i will still keep the ssv around for when i want to chill on a huge bowl for a long time, but the nano is kinda like the lotus to me. it hits very similarly (which i love) and is electric (which i love) the ability to throw it on a gong and it sits there is one of the biggest things for me and i love it.

i pack a bowl, throw the nano on top, leave it there and start hitting. i take it off to stir the bowl around after each hit, more out of habit and for fun than out of necessity, but the biggest thing for me is that the gong is easily refillable and is all glass with just a screen. i end up getting sick of vapes which have fiddly methods for packing the weed because if a vape can't effortlessly let me smoke like 20 bowls in a row, it doesn't make the cut :p

the hits out of the ssv are definitely very heavy but i would say that is more about the quantity of weed i put in the ssv wand vs a nano gong. i feel like i pack 6-10x more per ssv wand than nano gong but the nano hits are so reliable and efficient and dense.

I have found that a vaporizer simply extracts the medicine from the cannabis flower nugget of the cola.
Cannabis is the HOLY GRAIL vaporizers are man made.
the reason I like the NANO and some of the vaporizers I use is I like simple and decent flavor.
or as little influence as possible.

I joke when I am properly medicated.

A well chosen Rolex is often a safer investment than many other markets. They hold/retain their value incredibly well.

I hear what you are saying. Still, for me, I think even if I were super wealthy, I would not have one. But that doesn't mean they are unwise investments. When I think of Rolex watches, I think of the wrists of Televangelists marking time exhorting their followers to "send money".

So I've had my nano for a few months (fewer than 6, but I'm not really sure when I got it,) and the light indicator has started to blink sometimes when it's plugged in. When this happens, it gets warm, but not as warm as the dial would suggest. sometimes while it is blinking, the light turns off completely while it is plugged in, and it won't begin heating again until I unplug and replug it. It sounds like the wiring is a bit loose, but I obv. don't want to pull it apart.

What should I do?

Sounds like a short.

I would contact Andy or Nadia ASAP....and I would not try and use it again until you've spoken to them.

Additional caution should be used when dealing with a short on a 110v circuit.

+1 to contacting Epic, and trying a different plug/outlet.

It does not sound at all like a short, I would guess it is likely just a loose solder joint somewhere... but I am not sure exactly how these are wired internally.

More likely an intermittent open. If the results are the same when plugging into a different outlet (at another location in your house), then your unit is need of a repair.
