I NEEEEED! a recycler is THE ONLY, LAST piece i need and wanr for now, and thro the holidays! this thing is BEEAAUUTFUL! i think imma be grabbin this 1! ;) has any1 tried this one or have it?!?! im really interested in it, bu im would LOOVE to hear some info.! if i recycles/hits good, etc..... Sometimes pieces get posted too cheap by mistake and if you happen to notice an outrageous deal it is your responsibility to jump on it before they realize and correct it.

It also wouldn't hurt if you posted it on the thread so some of us can try to get the same deal.

I have also seen this happen with items on eBay

once I save up enough free accessories I take them over to the local headship and trade for something useful.

Last time I got a titanium dabber, 3 oil slick containers and a bottle of synthetic urine(for future job UA's) for like 15 various bowls, nails, and adapters that were all free!

You trade the stuff you get from DHGate for other glass at local shops?
Damn I never thought about that, pretty good idea. Are most places willing to do it though?


On a side note, does anyone know how safe it is to be using these China made pieces? Or I suppose the better question would be has anyone ever felt adverse effects from the stuff they bought on DHGate?
I haven't found any information directly related to the stuff on DHGate, but most of the raw materials in China are made from highly illegal "recycling" practices like using hazardous medical waste. I've ordered a few things from sunshinestore, but i'm kind of worried about cadmium and other impurities found in the boro glass.

Good to know about boro not absorbing cadmium. Yeah, from what i've read cadmium mostly is found in paints that are used on glass. I'm definitely going to wash/iso rinse the glass before using it.
Glass can be recycled from medical waste though. Used glass syringes are part of the waste that gets crushed to little pieces, melted down, and sold as raw material. There's actually some documentaries and such on the issue.

If it were melted to a molten state, wouldn't that kill or get rid of harmful shit?

Also I placed an order or three pieces with CCG on 9-7-14. I had messaged them 9-25-14 and was told pieces were out of stock n they needed two days. Today I received a package with one of the three pieces in there. So I messaged them again and waiting in a response. Prob last order I get with them.

Also these are next on my list if anyone has experience with them please chime in.

Possibly, i'm probably just being a hypochondriac because I have an academic background in health science. I'm going to try finding out more about this today from one of my peers. He has a doctorate in environmental health, and was actually the one who originally made me aware of the source of raw materials in China. I'll get his take on how safe it is after the glass is in a molten state.

@NickDlow your first and third link are highly recommended pieces by many members here. Not sure if anyone has really purchased your second link or the piece from CCG.

@ataxian and many others rave about the first link and how it kills the D020.

I personally have the double barrel and I love it. The barrel to funnel is also a good choice and many members have even said it is better than just the plain double barrel.

Not sure if anyone really ordered the second link, but the interior showerhead will have a little restriction at the beginning of the pull but it will get less chuggy after the water gets moving (thats just the nature of most interior/inverted percs from my experience).

can anyone hear recommend a straight up bong under 14'' that's thick and priced right ? Get this piece - it's gotten quite a few reviews (google search this thread for "YQ-42" - you should get a few reports) - I'm actually buying one for a friend probably later today or tomorrow.... coincidentally it's 35cm which is 13.77inches, lol

That new kathy piece looks sick @blankrider. I just wish she had it in all clear or maybe black accents (I'm not a huge fan of blue/green as it would stand out like a sore thumb in my collection. I'm a basic bitch haha).

It does look like it will function very well though. I think they are finally starting to figure out perc placement, etc. Yay DHgate! Can't wait to see your review on it :D

exactly, and the worst case scenario is that they say no, but with that being said, I've never been turned down in the two times I've went to two different shops.

If I ever do get turned down I can surely unload them on eBay. Or just go to one of the thousand other head shops in my county.

On a side note: I have actually made cash from building my glass collection between selling my least favorites for a markup on craigslist, and unloading accessories to the LHS

This thread has really brought on a fun hobby that ends up being free or even making me a small profit. I love this site, thread, and all of you!

I spoke earlier in this thread about taking unused glass to LHS for trade or even cash. I never use the slides domes and nails that come with my orders. I went in with like a dozen things and they gave me 40 cash. That is like 3 something per slide dome and adapter. Not a lot but it adds up if you order a lot of glass like me and weren't going to use that stuff anyways.

You can even take them an entire piece if it is new and unused. Like if you ordered something and just didn't like the looks of it when it came. You might be able to break even or at least not take such a big loss

Definitely true. i have a box with just tons and tons of crappy accesssories that came with all my china pieces. it really adds up when you order a few pieces at a time. i have never tried going into a LHS to barter with them but my friends who combust always are very excited to be able to grab a bowl or slide from me so people do want them. Just not us
