Really? What about the vapes from 7th Floor? Or the HerbalAire. Etc, etc.........These vapes have long track records for reliability, but I contend that EVERYTHING will eventually have problems that need to be sent back to the company for fixing..................everything.

I also contend that ANYTHING that is inhaled other than pure air or oxygen will, to a certain degree, be detrimental to your health. It's that whole risk/reward ratio that comes into play.

A LB that isn't abused will last for years. I know of several, including my own, that have seen heavy use and show no signs of breaking down. My original vapourizer was an Arizer Extreme that I bought five years ago, used daily for about three years, and then gave to a friend who has been using it daily ever since. Both of these devices can last years if given a little care. The Herbalaire has been around longer than most and is practically indestructible. (This vape is easily the most underestimated device out there.)

Most designs haven't been around long enough to be discussed in terms of durability, but there's no reason why something like the Lotus or the Daisy wouldn't last for years. The FlashVAPE is rugged and extremely durable. If anything does fail, they have 100% field-replaceable parts, so I can make them last as long as FlashVAPE sells parts. No one need ever send a current FV back to the manufacturer. The same applies to my Volta, which reminds me, there's the VaporGenie...

Yeah, I forgot about the "DA Buddha" type vapes but that is because its like log vapes in that I have no idea what temperature I'm at. Those do lasts though. I never had issues with the aromed, and when I did hear some problems from others, it didn't stop the aromed from working. Its damn near the same with the volcano. And the problems with the volcano a lot was able to fix it themselves or have someone they know fix it.

I never had issues by vaping a lot with the aromed. I go from low to high, and can vape for an hour straight no problem. If I were to do that with most vapes my throat would be hurting. I'm not kissing the aromeds ass just my experience. I think more companies should make vaporizers for recreational use, and a flagship for "medical" use. I like to get HIGH(I hate that term but it is needed for what I mean) and most other vapes will give me issues if I were to vapes the way I do with the aromed.

@pakalolo you named vapes that are not in the class that im describing. Thats why i posted for some people there are a lot of choices but not for me. The only vapes you named that I can consider in the class I'm describing is the herbalaire but, the temperature doesn't go high enough for me, and without the bag, I'm not crazy about it. The same with the arizer eq. But even then they don't hold up to vaping for hours straight, for years. I vapes sometimes a few minutes but other times I can go for 2-3 hours straight depending on how I feel.

Vapourizing requires a lot of heat applied in a controlled manner. To reach consistent precise temperatures requires electronic control, but electronics are challenged by high temperatures. If exact temperatures are important to you, then I will agree that today's designs will all eventually fail. This is an area that is changing rapidly and most of these devices are not really meant to be repaired.

X2--many high quality vapes with healthy/medical grade quaity constuction that are built to last. In different niches, examples are Herbalizer, miniVAP, and FireFly. Each is at upper end of pricing it its niche, but you get what you pay for---quality costs more than mediocre .

But, you can get high quality for mediocre pricing such as the LSV, as an example, which in my opinion, is a high quality vape with mid-point pricing. Same with the HerbalAire or the E-Nano, etc etc. One doesn't have to pay the price of admission for an Herbalizer or a miniVape in order to get a quality vaporizer.

When I first looked at Vaping I was put off by the cost of the device. I had only seen the Volcano and at that price point I was going to just keep combusting. After looking into it more (a year later) and spending a couple days on this site I realized there were many more options and I started out with the Herbalaire at 1/3 the cost of the Volcano. It didn't take me long to convert fully from smoking (even tho it was MANY years of it) to vaping. It just made so much more sense...

It seems like some of the portable vaporizers are throw away vapes. When the battery doesn't work anymore, time to toss it in the trash. It can get expensive if your vape cost $200+. Most batteries have a 90 day warranty.

Vape tech is still very much in the infancy stage. Still, things are pretty good, and quickly getting better. I'm very satisfied with my choices in vapes - quality built, high performance, very low maintenance, and great company back-up should I ever need it. No complaints here! One day I hope to travel by transporter Star Trek style, but for now I'm happy to settle for my Lexus RX330.

My thoughts exactly. Let's continue to further hype and passion surrounding vaporizers and give it the upbringing that it deserves A solid and supportive community based on knowledge and understanding! Vapes are going to mature like a nice wine I think

Heh heh. Well, while I don't think I will live long enough to be alive when transporting live creatures becomes possible, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see transporting inanimate objects become possible before I leave this mortal coil. 20 years ago I might have doubted the likelyhood of seeing 3D printing, and we have a couple folks here in this group doing that now (Hi @Ratchett ).

Lasers man... we need lasers to vape our stuff. Everything is better with lasers. And ninjas.

I like vaping but dislike big industry. We're literally shitting all over our planet in the name of greed. We're all accountable and our Karma will reflect this.

I love the fact that vapourizing exists and that we have a healthier method of ingesting, what for some is, a medicine. But to be honest the consumerist attitude that the global economy relies on make me feel disgusted.

It's just becoming another massive, corporate, greed driven industry. I've got my main 3 vapes (long lasting ones from not too unethical companies) and I'm happy.

I'd love a vape pen that instantly vapes the actives out of the herb in 1 second flat with a super-laser and can allow me to have 10 gram hits in one inhale.
