Just got my SR-71 and Persei. Can someone give me an idea on the proper method of hitting this. I loaded about .5, melted, then added another .5. How long on average do people hold the button. Seems to start getting bubbly pretty quickly in the chamber. I have it filled to just about the top of the ceramic heating rod after melted.

EDIT: HOLY FUCK........ I've never had a wax hit like that before. I've only used kiss carts.... Ok so whats the longest one should really hold the button down during a hit? Do you guys pulse or just hold for a number of seconds?

I do cigar style puffs while warming up. Once the herc is producing thick vapor I inhale. I pulse the button according to how HOT the vapor feels. If it start getting too hot for my liking I start pulsating. Everyone is different on how much ur lungs can handle. Don't forget to do cool down hits. And avoid having the button on if you are not inhaling. Especially sr71. It will burn ur oil and terpenes if you do.

Sorry for the cross post, I posted this in the omicron thread 2 days ago but it seems a bit abandoned at the moment... (I guess it's relevant here too because I could be using the carts on a 3.7v persei ;)

So my kiss globe is starting to get a little wobbly, can anyone tell me the correct size o-ring for the base of the kiss globe?

Also, are the drip tips a standard size?
Because I've seen a few cool ones online I've been thinking about purchasing, but I have no idea if they'll fit

--------------

Also, I'm gonna be getting some ecig gear pretty soon for my dad, and I know nothing about it...

Basically, I'm planning on getting an omicron lite and whatever the "best"/most appropriate cart is.

I know most ecig stuff is 510 threaded, so the w9 stuff with 601 threading won't be as universally compatible if he decides he likes it and jumps in to the ecig world, but it seems like a nice high quality starter kit.

So are all the ecig carts good to go at 3.7v?
Any weird tips a novice would need to know?

I'll have to get my order in relatively soon so I can have it here by Halloween.

The 8 is 601 - 510 interchangeable if that helps.

Greetings all, new to the forum here but I have been reading and I really like the looks of the community!

I just recieved my Persei in the mail today (that had to be one of the most excruciating waits ever!) and I'm absolutely floored by it's performance on the 3.7 gr2 ti carts, just amazing! I'm about to try this 7.4 cart momentarily....:>

However my kanger protank 2 just tastes like burnt horrible awful, I tried swapping to a different coil but same result... Read about on the net and it said try flipping the grommet and pulling some flavor wick... I tried that and it worked ok for like one puff then it's back to the same old yuck :( Any clues? I'm certainly not a vape expert by any means so any help is appreciated!

What batteries are you using with the protank?

I'm using a single 18650 3.7v 2000mah, it works awesome on the 3.7 kiss cart.... is this perhaps too much for the kanger? I also have the two 18350's that came with the persei...

@torggzorz check to see if your Protank has a extra wick on top of your coil. I find some protanks have a extra wick on top of the coil. Ends up being burned.

I took one of them apart ( I bought 3x ti coils from w9tech for the protank, and had 2 that came with the unit, all have same results ) and it's a bunch of wicking sticking out quite a good deal and then into the coil area... I'm using a 50 / 50 vg/pg mix. Tastes amazing out of my kanger emow tank w/ tesla sidewinder II battery....

EDIT: I tried removing just a little bit of the upper wicking earlier, it had no effect semingly....

ok guys pm me who has an issue with the 8 and the Hercules SR74, and who has an issue with the 71.

@itschad, the rebuild kits are going to be live in a few hours.

I think i might have found a solution.
Are the rebuild kits up? Haven't been able to find them on the site

Ok quick update I have switched the bottom adapters on the current 74's in production with the 71 bottom adapters.

And I do have a few extra bottom adapters from the very first 71 PTFE parts that I would send out for free to 8 orders as long as shipping is paid.

This should solve most of the 74 issues, and then once we get the new center pins ready they will go out to people who have had issues with the 8 button if the bottom adapter has not fixed it yet.

Please remember only ask for the center pins if and after you try the sr71 bottom adapter and if that has fixed it then you don't need the center pins anymore.

I'm gonna rely on the honor system but shipping is still going to be charged.

And I'm working on gettig the 8 rebuild kits up ASAP.

The hammer top from w9 tech does have circuit protection. The sr71 is more powerful. Sr74 is more user friendly. As far as the way they function, same. Same concept/idea on both. Go on you tube and look for Gary's videos. They show you how to assemble the hercules correctly.

How's the assembly different from the 71 to 74? Can only find the video for the 74.

Count me in on one of those 71 bottom adapters. I just barely got my 8 and haven't been able to use my 74 adapter. Thanks a lot for the fast response to our issues:tup:

How about you put a ceramic rod where the kiss cart screws into and then plug a big ol ti coil in the steel casing and turn it into a herc with a water filter...a herkeanos.

G- this is a cool idea^^^^^^

@THC SCIENTIFIC , what is the $300 plus dollar unit with no picture all about on your site, I so want to know.............please do tell. Plus why is the site down, I want to see what is new. Cheers.

The SR71 has no spring loaded gold contacts unlike the SR74. The Sr74 has a larger margin of assembly error and if will still function. The SR71 has be adjusted manually to make proper connection. Instead of spring loaded contacts you are relying on yourself assembly to make it work. That's why it is important to use a volt meter to take the guess work out of it. You are more likely to have a short on the 71. Overall the sr71 is not that bad when u have a voltmeter and READ the instructions.

This might be the Triton. I remember a while ago G mentioned herc technology for the Triton. We shall see...

Has anyone purchased an SR-71 since they were re released and gotten slightly different parts than in the video posted previously by SamuraiSam?
In my case, I had never owned a herc before so when it arrived my plan was to put it together using G's instructional video. When I tried to do that I found that i had different parts/assembly then in the video but I was able to figure it out anyway.....so i am curious if i am imagining this or if anyone else experienced the same??

Edit: I just got a backup SR-71 in the mail today and am now noticing that it has different parts then the one i got last month. Right off the bat I can tell you that the oil coil is much different, it is 2-3x the size of the one i got last time which i believe was a coil for the SR-74.

the bigger coil is SS the short coil is Ti.

we asked for Ti coils, so i'm not complaining about them, but now i realize that the SS coils perform better. (once cut down)

Can I use the ceramic donuts for the normal kiss cart? And does the rebuild kit for the kiss include the white cups on the inside?
