Discontinued Inhalater INH05/5S/6

I go where the thrills are
@mitchgo61 When you get the glass capsules you will see it rivals the SOLO.
It makes a HUGE difference in vapor heat, production, and taste.

As I stated before one of my biggest gripes of the INH05, the vapor was too hot.

You will surely have a different opinion when you use the glass capsules..

I think anything that cools it down increases flavor quality, so I'm sure you're right. The "air" capsule itself helps the flavor.

I'm definitely spoiled by the FF, which is extraordinarily cool, temp-wise. The INH is still my go-to vape for stealth and ease out of the house, so the flavor issue doesn't really bother me.

Is the battery removable? If not, how long does it last on average? I've heard the FireFly's battery only lasts about 40 minutes but it has a removable battery.

Do you know if Planetvape is also planning on glass capsules for the INHXP like they originally planned, or is just the INH05.

I tried the hot dog with a filament of shatter. As explained. Tried 1 capsule of this with 2 friends. Taste was not that obvious, quantity being soo small.

Effect is on another level. This is medication. It is real pain relief; my body felt relaxed and I got pretty unconcerned with the usual rush.

Better to have this reserved for medical. Not good to keep you up if there is some stress that need attention.

To me, half herb - half shisha is better for daily consumption. Nice, tasty, keeps you up and running.

How about this; anyone has been experimenting shisha/herb - INh05/aircapsule - with cooling tip because of the high humidity of shisha?

Solod out.
When I got my extras from inhalater, they were exactly the same as the ones in this link and cost me $12 each.
Yeah I just realized I was right the first time with that link. Those are the stock batteries I received. I was just looking back for that link. I'll be ordering soon.
Still waiting on those glass capsules and aero capsules. I'm pretty satisfied with my purchase, but I guess the best is yet to come?

I got one of these about a week ago and have been giving it some tests. Right out of the gate I really like its size and weight. Small enough to pocket anywhere and light enough not to weigh down your pants like the Cera did for me. The heat up time is stupid fast...the only portable I have that is faster is the instant-on mflb. It arrived pretty close to a full charge, so it only needed a quick top off to get started. My second charge, which was after about three or four sessions and was only done to keep it topped off, took between 11 and 13 hours...too long and the company is working on this issue. But for an overnight top off charge it should work fine.

After a couple of rough first sessions I contacted the maker for some advice. I am now getting it dialed in and like its versatility. Some vapes work easily out of the gate and they do what they do, but are limited in their functionality. This one takes some getting used to at the start, but it's only because of its versatility. Once you get it down you can do so much more than with some other vapes. The instructions are lacking at this point, however, so the versatility has to be discovered or learned from others.

For instance, you can vape along the entire temp spectrum, but for cannabis it's best suited for temps between 5 and 7. I like 6.5ish. This makes 8 to 9 good for thicker water hits, and temps 3 to 5.5 good for shisha. Now we do a fair amount of hookahing around here, so I was all about trying out some shisha in it. Last night I packed the regular capsule with shisha and a little hemp fiber to keep any juices from dripping into the unit. It works and I like it at 5.5 for this use best. But this is the only vape I would try it in, since the mouthpiece is part of the capsule. Using one capsule for one type of vaporizable doesn't dirty up the unit for other vaproizables used in a different capsule. I will use the aero capsule for my cannabis and the regular one for the shisha. And it would be easy enough to walk around with it packed with a shisha capsule for when you think you might get stopped...then switch to your weed capsule later when you are ready.

The unit has no air path to speak of after the heating chamber, so the vapor can be harsh. No worries here, as my Solo always irritated me above temp 5, and this one does it around 6 for me. The design lends itself to comparison with the Pinnacle Pro. This one wins on a couple of fronts. One, you can switch capsules for different herbs like I mentioned, without it tainting your mouthpiece like it would in the PNP. The heat up time is much quicker, and I like the way it tells you what's up with its flashes. It's giving me feedback, like when to slow my draw because it is blinking to keep the heat up. If I keep my draw just below the speed to cause blinking I get the thicker hits. But thick hits are not something to get into with this unit, as the aero capsules were designed to thin out and cool the vapor by adding fresh air, so thick hits aren't going to be the goal when using dry. I mostly judge it by effect. The abv always comes out even and dark when I max it out.

I have yet to put it into a water piece again after talking to the maker, but that is on the list. At this point I feel good about ranking it above the PNP, but I'm still not getting rid of my Solo or Lotus. This will be my grab for going out and about, and I have a feeling I am going to like it more the more I use it. I'll keep posting about it as I use it more, and feel free to ask questions.

I'll give this one a try. FF has no history and IMO their warranty has no backstop as they're so very new and state they see vaping as "the new gold rush" (to paraphrase). I have no interest in a Chinese company that has no CC even with a reasonable market presence, AKA Blunt et al.
I have some anticipation to see if the glass project with PlanetVape is successful!
I'm married to an engineer - and the mfgr's behavior is a non-issue.
Why am I here?
Because I damned near died from a pain prescription (You know all those "adverse effects" some of the powerful phama labels have? I survived nearly all of them at the same time without warning after 11 days. It took me three months to fully recover.).
I have learned that pain is open-ended. You may not stay around while it accelerates and spreads, but the condition could care less.
So, hello.

Welcome the the Forum Stapled! The INH05 will exceed your expectations. It is exactly as Stickstones said, very versatile plus to add I like to run dry herb for like 2-3 draws on 9 just through the MP. Once you get the jist of the unit, it hits like a BAT on that level! :)

Great review, and I totally agree that it gets more fun to use the more you use it, and for on-the-go, running-out-the-door convenience, this thing is my vape of choice.

Not to stray off topic but the FF warranty is solid, and many of us have had successful and fast warranty service from them. I wouldn't worry about it if you're interested...and back on topic, the INH and the FF are extremely different devices by almost any measure (they're both portable and have similar price points...and that's about it). You might find room for both in your life at some point. (And yes, welcome to FC!)

The welcomes are appreciated. I understand the apples to oranges comparison between FF and INH methodology; at some point I may well consider the FF.
That said, though, the FF and it's powerful magnet could play havoc with the diverse electronics I have on my person: POV camera, cell phone, encrypted flash drive, panic button (programmable) etc. And then there are those magnetic strips on debit card, access card (no idea if a magnet would scramble my RFID-embedded card or not; but what about passports...); you get the idea.
Now the wait for the shipping confirmation with tracking!

I had a great nightcap with this thing last night. Since I'm on a nugget and crumble kick, I packed it full with a nugget like a Vapolution. Hit it three or four times before dumping to crumble and repack and finished it. Taste was great before the crumble! Very good effect! I like the signature. Whatever combination of conduction and convection this thing has makes for a very well rounded effect.

@stickstones

It is good to cut the shisha with at least 50% herbs to get a good air flow. And the cut of the tobacco is also important because the stuff is so dense and gooey.

From your description I bet that the vapours where quite hot and the draw quite hard without much clouds?

I prepare the mix on a napkin to blot out the extra melasse. Cut down the tobacco with scissors and add > 50% of finely ground herbs. Air capsule and extension are important. The experience is much better!

This give easy air flow, large clouds, fantastic taste and a generally light effect for chilling out when there are lot of people. The tobaccoless herbal mixes are also great.

BTW what's a a nugget and crumble kick? I'm clueless on what this may be.

@TransHumanC -- thanks for the tips! I'll play with the shisha pack technique more. Are you getting any mess inside the unit from the sticky shisha?

nugget and crumble...packing whole nuggets instead of ground bud. After a couple of hits the nuggets are dry and crispy and ready for finger rolling into a fine grind. This keeps the tasty terps on board for those first hits, and when you crumble the bud it's past the sticky point and is easy and efficient to deal with. I'm putting my grinder away for a little while.

When the preparation is good the abv comes out dry and the capsule stay nice and clean. It's about the ratio of herbs/shisha and and the grind and cut of the mix. Pure shisha and high temperature will cure the melasse into caramel and very hard deposits to remove.

Nugget and crumble is interesting. The dry powder hits nice on the crumble cap. Using a fine grind is the best way to get awesome extraction and perfectly uniform color. I think I can pack over 0.3g when the grind is fine and the taste in unbelievably nice on those first low temperature hits.

The screen in the capsules is one of the coarsest I've seen in a vape. I don't like to go too fine or a lot of it will get sucked up since I use the straw-suck method to load the capsules. I changed the screen in my regular capsule, but not the aero yet.

Don't remember getting any herbs through the filter even with the fine grind. The nugget and crumble did let some through however.

I guess the coarse screens helps with clogging and brings down maintenance time, that's why they have it like that.

BTW made some more tests with shatter/wax.

I'm so happy to hear that you not only like the Inhalater but you also compared it to the Vapolution tube vaporizer..... I like this comment because back when I was researching and reading up a storm....your reviews and comments about tube vaporizing rang strongly in my mind as I zeroed in on my design of choice....ultimately leading me to the "Inhalater" design.... as it makes use of the surface area wrapping all the way around the tube.....{just wait until you try a glass tube} I trust you will love it as I do.....:peace:

I might have to try this "nug and crumble kick"..... no more grinding you say....hmmmm interesting...:myday:

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this, if so sorry for repeating it. I found that the original davinci vaporizers oil cans fit inside the inh05 and, with some organic cotton on the bottom to catch any oil that may have leaked out, it's not as messy as the ascent. With the setting on 9 I get clizzouds. Happy vaping dawgs

I just had a great session with shisha and herb mixed. First time and i like it! It's perfect for relaxing with tv. I just kept sipping it for about forty minutes climbing the temp ladder. Only down side is the crudded up capsule! Will need to iso that one.
