There's no coating. The screen does change colour a little with use but that is cosmetic only and doesn't affect performance. Have you looked carefully with a magnifying glass? If it is a hole then it's a warranty issue.

You can try cleaning it. There are a few cleaning techniques described here:

http://www.vaporpedia.com/wiki/Magic-Flight_Launch_Box#Maintenance_And_Cleaning

Under 30x the dot looks as if the metal screen was "shaved", leaving a small dot of mis-colored metal on the screen. The only possible reason I can think of is perhaps it was still too hot when I used the brush? Doesn't seem to affect the performance any.

Has anyone used their Launch Box in really cold temperatures? While on a ski slope for example?

For my ski trip this year i'd like to know how well it works under these conditions. I figure the batteries might get too cold for it to work properly :(

Yes. See:

http://www.fuckcombustion.com/viewtopic.php?pid=46406#p46406

Seems to me that if you keep the batteries in an inside pocket (i.e. next your body) they'd hardly cool down at all.

Another question I will now add to the Vaporpedia page.

Just spent the day in the cold ass woods deer hunting and I kept my battery case and LB in my insulated hand muff next to the handwarmers so the box and batts were at room temp or slightly higher all morning.

Anyone else notice how much better the LB (when not freezing) hits when its cold outside....its just refreshing on the lungs with the cold air

Awesome. Those two posts made very happy after reading. Even more excited to go skiing this winter.

Had to do it :D here comes LB #3 .

I been using the MFLB as my home vape for the past 3 or 4 weeks , with a good charger and batteries it has no problem being the one and only vape I need , I use alot . And these 2700's wow , after getting a better feel for the draw its almost like hitting a pipe kinda speed , soooo nice for when I have to take a quick hit but still want a nice lung full .

The Hash/Oil question once again:

Has anyone tried using a matrix of wooden sticks, like broken up starbucks stirrers, or toothpicks, with the load underneath, and the box turned upside down during the draw?

Would the wood burn inside the trench?

Got money out the ass no homo but i'm rich
Quick question that i'm sure has been answered!!!

If i get some new, better batteries such as these 2400's, I can use them in my included Magic flight box battery charger right?

Thanks

I have been using the standard charger on the Maha Powerex 2700s and it works fine. I have just purchased a smart charger (should arrive today according to UPS) in order to prolong the life of these babies, but it's not absolutely necessary. I just wanted a charger that runs a proper refresh cycle. The standard charger does not have this feature (obviously).

Is there a preferred place to purchase the MLB? Head shops in Chicago don't seem to carry it, and I'd like avoid the sales tax anyway. So if any of you have a place that you swear by for great customer service, good package deals (inclusion of a free grinder or whatever), please let me know. Ready to pull trigger.

Thx.:peace:

I just went through their site: http://magic-flight.com/

And it then pointed me to blissSville: http://www.blisssville.com/index.php?cPath=58&button=Buy+Now

Hey guys, great community you have forged down here...
I just joined because i wanna get my hands on this LB baby, but im currently in Germany, and im not sure whether to trust in this BlissVille site or not... Ive been reading the comments both about the site and the LB, and i'm about to buy it...just want to see some comments about it and thats it...
Is there another official distributor of the magic box, for example here in Europe?
Thanks a lot..

BTW, it would be nice to know which of you guys buy last from BlissVille....just for fun, and know how active this selling site is...

Thanks again

I ended up ordering from Blissville. Others are out there, but I like the fact that the MFLB site does refer sales to Blissville, as toadyfatz pointed out.

My main reason for getting the MLFB is that I tend to only need one or two pulls to get quite baked, and my Iolite provides 5 or 6 hits even with the shortest amount of time turned on. With the Iolite, I end up turning on, waiting for the first heating cycle to finish, hitting, turning it off, and hitting 1 or 2 more times as it burns off the residual butane. Works great, but I think the MFLB will be more suited to this type of use. Iolite will be for sharing with friends or whenever I want a full-blown bake-off, which probably won't happen. Geez, it doesn't take much to get me high any more!

there is no reason to not trust blissville. The MFLB site directs you there I believe. many people ahve bought items and LB from blissville.

if you check with everyonedoesit.com they might have it (cannot access their site moment) they are out of the UK

Im not sure if this has been mentioned before.

Sometimes towards the end of my bowl when the taste starts to get worse I use a small amount of dried mint ( small amount goes a long way ). Is a really nice way to inject some flavour.

I only use a very little dried spearmint and it helps with the harshness of the vapor towards the end of the bowl.

I tried some apple mint that i grow (1 leaf dried is what i use for a full trench) but i prefer spearmint

Not tried it yet but im going to use some dried lemon balm should yeild a nice lemon flavour.

anyone else add anything to their trenches?

Wow, glad you mentioned that. I was just about to turn under the lemon balm in my garden (going to snow tomorrow), so I'll set aside some to dry and try it out. Thanks!

I also ordered from Blissville and they have excellent customer service and fast shipping. Highly Recommended! I hope we have some battery experts out there that can help me. I have a Lacrosse BC-700 battery charger with the Powerex 2700 batteries. I put two of the batteries through a refresh cycle, and have recharged them several times now, but they still only show around 1000 mah after charging is complete. :( My launch box however seems to be working fine and putting out good vapor. But it just doesn't seem right that I am not getting more milliamps out of my batteries. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
