Need advice, upgrading from PnP ~$300 budget, help please?

So I'm relatively new to vaping my meds. I've had a Pinnacle Pro for a few months and, even though opinion seems to be its a problematic vape, it has completely sold me on vaping over combustion. The PnP does not cut it as a full time device though and I would like to move to all vape and stop combustion all together. So I really need help finding a plugin unit.

Details on this purchase

Of course, I am looking for a good quality unit. :) My budget is ~$300, say $400 max with all accessories (inc any glassware). I am looking for a unit that can be easily moved around my house if needed.

I don't party vape, I use meds for pain relief but what is available is only commercial quality leaf where I am, so I need to take a lot of material to achieve the desired result. At the same time, its also quite expensive so conservation is required. The medical group I am a member of has been discussing setting up a concentrates facility, so that may be an option in the future.

Bag or whip. I understand what these things are in principle, but never having used either, I have no frame of reference. The bag seems to be more of a pain though, and I feel like I would prefer a direct draw, maybe.

Where I am lost

How does water/glass fit into the picture? After getting a hydrotube for the PnP, it made the experience go from bad to really good. The hydrotube is made for the PnP, how would I go about adding water to a plugin unit? Is water even a benefit to a plugin like it is with the PnP?

This seems to be recommended but I can't figure out how this attaches to any of the plugin units I've seen video for.

My "research" so far

"Research" is a relative term as I know nothing and have no frame of reference besides the PnP, so research is kind of a misnomer. Instead I should say I have watched hours of youtube videos and spent the last few days reading in a continual state of confusion.

The e-nano, the silver surfer, and the herbal aire look nice and seem to be well reviewed, but I am not sure I can go without some kind of digital temperature control (can I?). The Extreme Q looks like what would fit but the reviews are mixed. The Vapir Rise has very little review info on it so far, but looks similar to the Q, which might be better for me?

I am not stuck to any of these, in any way, as I am completely ignorant and am not even sure what I should be looking for to begin with.

Not required, but preferred, is a v220 or a multivolt unit that can be plugged into v220. However this seems to be difficult to find, only the Extreme Q and units outside my budget seem to offer that, but again, I have no experience with this and my knowledge of units are extremely limited.

Help? Thank you!

Uprgrading from a PnP to a high-quality desktop? Oh, dude, you're in for a treat!

Since you don't party vape, and need to conserve while also using enough to meet your needs, AND you have an interest in glass, AND it's already on your list, then I'm thinking E-Nano.

Couldn't be easier to use with glass. The link for the piece you are interested in is a 18mm, so all you have to do is order an 18mm GonG (Glass on Glass) adapter from Epicvape when you order the Nano. Might want a couple of those and a couple different stems as well. One end will go right into the joint on your glass, and the other end will be your "bowl." Just load it up, insert the Nano in the bowl, inhale, and now you're on the trolley.

I know @Seren uses a voltage converter on her Nano, as well as many others besides her, but she's my favorite :D . I'll bet she'd be happy to tell you which one, as I don't remember. I think even with buying one of those, you'll be well within your budget to grab some herb when the time comes.

You also get PERSONAL customer service. May take a little longer than you'd like, but Andy of Epicvape always comes through big time in the end.

Silver Surfer and HerbalAire get much praise as well, but I've not used either.

I really have to agree with @EveryDayAmnesiac. The enano ticks all your boxes. It's easy to use,VERY economic and so simple to pair with the D020 just by buying an 18mm GonG(glass on glass adapter). I'm just basically away to tell you everything that @EveryDayAmnesiac has,so i'll just shut up as I think that every base has been covered. I originally came on here askin about something completely different. I was persuaded to look at the enano and I have not,not even for a Nano second had even a whiff of regret. I could have saved thousands of pounds sterling if i'd just bought the Enano first. Still it was fun finding that out! Good luck with whatever you choose. Oh yeah Andy is a true gent and sometimes things do take a wee bit longer but he always comes through! And then some!!!

A lot depends on your usage patterns and tolerance. Log vaporizers like the enano, HI, and Underdog have small bowls and are extremely frugal with herb, as is the butane powered Lotus. The 7th floor DBV and SSV are on top of the food chain for whip vaporizers that employ a plastic/silicone tube and wand, IMO. They hold more herb. Either style pairs very well with a glass bubbler using a glass on glass adapter that goes from the vaporizer to the bubbler or bong. So if you're looking to conserve and still get very medicated, go for a log. If you crave a bigger bowl, the SSV might be more to your liking.

The E-Nano is a very efficient plug-in unit, with an adjustable temperature dial built into the cord. As the very lovely @EveryDayAmnesiac pointed out - it's particularly well suited for use with water. The D20 you provided a link to is apparently a very good pairing. That, a GonG, the Nano & a step-down & you're good to go.

This is the step-down I use - you don't really need such high wattage, but I find it works really well.

The other vaporisers you mention all have plenty of happy users too. I'd also like to throw the Vapolution into the mix - I haven't tried it personally - but it has great reviews.

Good luck :)

I agree with all of the above. Im with the Enano guys. Seren has mentioned everything you need. It is a wonderful vaporizer and very moderately priced imo. OP mentioned possibly a $400 budget. You could probably get a Solo as well for portability.

Thank you so much everyone!! This has been extremely helpful!

If you plan on using it through water, check out the LSV as well which has more glass in the air and vapor path than those mentioned above, which to me, really helps in the taste department and unlike the logs, has hardly any draw restriction whatsoever.

Sorry, what is the LSV?

$400 is approaching an evo/hydratube massdrop deal, just sayin'

That is the Cloud EVO? I saw that unit but only saw 1 review video on it. My budget can have a little flexibility if needed, though I will be paying around $50 to import a vape. However, the EVO seems to be about double what I'd pay for a Silver Surfer or E-Nano. Is it really worth the extra?

Thank you!

Edit: Sorry, one more follow up if I may? How would I go about adding water to a Silver Surfer? Thanks!

Thanks to all of you, I was able to narrow my focus on these specific models. I spent waaaay too much time today looking at them online in detail. Now that I understand how water works on these, it was so much easier to see how things would fit.

I have to say, the Evo really tempted me, that unit seems built for water. In the end, I couldn't justify the higher price for any of the other models to myself over the e-nano and Epic Vapes takes Paypal, that really pushed it over the edge. I bought way too many accessories but I think with both gong adapters, I can actually use the pinnacle hydrotube, the perc I just bought at dhgate or any of my bongs with it. Should be totally worth it.

Thanks again, all of you, for your amazing assistance! I'll be back in about 2 weeks when my new toy should arrive. :)
