Yeah, that one will be fine - 100w is the suggested rating from Andy...

Looks identical to the one I got at Maplins for a fiver more.

Thanks will order that one then, was thinking about going around Maplins, however they are usually a lot more expensive then Amazon. Might as well order it online since the shipping of my e-nano is probably going take around 2 weeks anyway.

I smoked herb for 16+ years before switching to vaping only. Thinking about burning herb and inhaling it makes me gag at this point. The change will happen but you need to try hence the suggestion to do vape only for at least a month so your brain gets used to how it feels versus combustion.

Hell just the added flavor alone of vaping was enough to do it for me. YMMV.

Can see that yeah, after using my e-cig for about 1 month someone offered me a cigarette when out for a drink, took one puff and threw it away, just disgusting.

fun fact, I'm actually born and raised in Amsterdam yet I've never used a vape. Not sure how that happened.

After switching to e-cigarettes about 4 months ago I decided it's time to stop combustion my weed as well and to purchase a vape. I have done a lot of research over the past month and yesterday purchased the e-nano whixh has been shipped today :D never used a vape before so I'm not exactly sure what to expect but I'm hoping it is good. Since I'm located in the UK I will require a step down converter and I seen the following one on amazon: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B000NIYF0K?pc_redir=1411966658&robot_redir=1

Would anyone be able to confirm if this will be sufficient?

Looking forward to receiving my e-nano :D

Thanks!

Get something a little nicer if you want to use it a lot, and definitely if you want to run it 24/7. That one you linked doesn't look particularly impressive and something a little more robust with an accessible fuse would be good IMO. I paid around $40usd for a very high quality 120v to 100v step down.

Stick with it @FUnhouse ! :) ... I also bought the E-Nano after my Solo, & haven't been disappointed in the slightest. I agree with the comments above - I think you just need to get used to the Nano a little better. The technique is quite different from the Solo - it took me a few days to fully adjust. I can think of plenty of worse ways to spend your time than perfecting your technique :brow:

Fwiw that nano has been on constantly for the last year and a half @ 5.5-6.5. I'd usually pump it up to 7.5-8 for my sessions. I never really let it cool all the way down except for when my power was out for a week. Even that was only for a day. Lol it was one of four things I had plugged into the generator! I have noticed that different strains play a drastic role in vapor production especially with these convection logs. Just my :2c:. Don't give up on her. You'll figure it out.

Yes that exactly. I notice strains like super lemon haze and dreamweaver are on the whispy side but, pop some bluecheese or other kushy indica strains in her and it's cloud city.

wow, and just the other day I was trying to figure out why my Lemon diesel/haze cross was a lot wispier than the heavy indica clouds I was getting with what I had prior to this..

Definitely moving it closer to the screen/bumping up the temp a notch makes thicker clouds though!

Why can't I find any solid reviews of this unit on YouTube?
I only see one review by Linda and it's not much of a review anyway.
Is this a new product?

Because the Nano is a secret only know to true vaporists of this site. :ninja:

You won't find much talk about it elsewhere since EV doesn't appear to be marketing the Nano very much (I'm sure he's more than busy with all the orders from this site!)

No, it isn't a "new product" - It's over 18 months old at this point!

So I got my Nano last week and I have to say I am not blown away .

I'm a Solo user and felt exactly the same. I was disappointed and ready to sell my nano. Thankfully, it's so gorgeous and well made. I came back here, read some more, and decided to persist. I mean just look at the positive feedback!
Well, I'm glad I kept at it because it's now my daily driver - hands down.
All I can tell you, is forget everything you learned with your Solo. OK, not everything, but don't make comparisons. I can almost guarantee that you will soon love your nano! Try not to play around with the screen for now (assuming it's in it's default position.) Work with draw and try one temp per session. I was vapor-stepping like on my Solo. Not necessary!
Now I leave mine set at 6 all the time. Don't worry too much about the clouds. Taste and effect are where the Nano is at!
I get so much more medicated using the Nano. And the taste, OMFG, the flavor! I now use whole nugs - never grind. That's where the Nano truly shines. Something to try but I'd concentrate on your draw and finding an ideal temp for now.
Enjoy your relationship with the Nano.

Ok, I'm ready to let the secret out. 'Log' vapes for the most part only exist here (FC) and are only available thru the respective builder/designer websites. I think it's time to let the world know about us...ideas?

Hey Thanks @vapopotamus
I am still working with it . As far as the screen goes it seems to move a bit when I stir and clean it out so I adjust it I don't think it has a default position ?

And I kind of like the vapor-stepping on the Solo but I Have been staying at 6.5 most of the time

I have been using small nugs and siring after a few hits . But I also tried some grind and it seemed to do well.

Just seems like I need to spend more time messing around with stuff and less time getting medicated .
I the fact that I don't seem to get medicated as well yet is making it hard but I have not given up .

And Thanks again to ALL of you for the answers and tips!

No its not new, and because it's the best kept secret in the vaping world.

it sounds like this post is facetious, but it's so true. you would never know about the nano unless you went digging for a true vaper's vaporizer. puts most of my other units to shame.

whatever "portal" works most for getting to "normal stoners" - storz & bickel didn't make everyone think the volcano was the best vape but lots of people still think its the best. now vapexhale broke thru and the evo is the new "best vaporizer out there". there is no doubt the e-nano could get a lot of love if it is properly marketed?

I went from a solo to a nano, and IMO they're really just two very different vapes.

The solo was great for sitting around on the couch, or passing back and forth with a friend. A stem would usually last me about a day or so. It kinda fell short when paired with a water path, though. Even with a newer model solo and PVHES gong, it always felt too restrictive so I almost always used it dry.

Nano on the other hand is amazing with a bubbler. Barely any restriction at all. I can also load up the tiniest amount of material and get a huge hit that keeps me medicated for hours. I can do that a bunch of times with the same amount I'd use in the solo, but every single nano hit will be super tasty and smooth. Seems to perform about the same dry, but I almost always run it through a bubbler.

Anyway, I guess what I'm saying is that whether you prefer the nano or the solo depends a lot on your needs and how you like to vape. Regardless, you should definitely take the time to play around with the nano and see if you can figure out a good routine. It really is a fantastic vape.

There has been many users on Reddit talking about the Nano for the past 6 months, so it can't be that obscure.

This thread alone has doubled in size since I got my nano just 9 months ago. It took 1 year to reach the first 96 pages and has snowballed since.

Legalize it!!!!!! It is hard to brag about such a wonderful device when it could get me in trouble.

Makes me mad that people can post pics of drinking and having fun on social media, but I can't share the same enthusiasm with my hobby.

I agree they are totally different . And I do get good hits off the Nano .
And I only use it with a bubbler as I broke my only stem.
Just trying to get it to work for me ! And I will keep trying .
Again I have no problem with the Nano I think the problem is me .

All my days in a daze...

Couldn't agree more. It's something I stubbornly refused to wrap my head around for a while, having ground my herb for vaporization the same way for a decade plus.
But after forcing myself to use the Nano this way I wouldn't return to grinding for this particular vape.

Through a water piece, with setting on 8, I did a few loads with little whole nugs of Blue Dream and it was a sublime and epic experience. ;)
