I just didn't think you could clean the glass heating element in the bowl with ISO.

Just be judicious in your use of iso because you don't want it dripping into the holes on the plate and getting into the chamber. So, use a slightly damp (with iso) paper towel inside the bowl with the screen removed...feel free to apply some light pressure and rotate the damp towel in the bowl...a few iterations of this will remove most of the crap. If you are worried about any dripping, hold the FF upside-down and push the towel into the bowl from below.

Removing the screws does not void the warranty?

It technically does, if you negatively affect the operation of the FF when putting the main plate back on (or while you're doing anything to it with the plate off).

It's so easy to do and not easy to mess up and I won't tell if you don't… :p If you open it once you'll probably want to open it every week… And it's so much fun to watch that heating element glow in all it's bareness! Isn't there a step by step tutorial in this thread? If not, I would be happy to do one!

I've been using my FF atleast once (or 10 times) a day since I got it. Still in love and in absolute awe at it's useability!
I bring the spare battery and charger with me wherever I go (bit of a pain in the ass) and sometimes I will forget to charge it between hits and end up passing a freshly packed FF to a friend only to see them struggle with the red flashing light
However for its battery shortcomings it makes up for it 10x in it's stylish design, reliable and secure herb-chamber, easily cleanable parts / simple dis-assembly and it's overall weight and quality!
My 3rd or 4th review on this product so far, but I just keep finding more to say about it! It's sitting right beside me discretely at my work desk with a cone of Cat Piss (very eloquently named strain...) packed and ready to go as soon as I clock off and walk to my car  My little Firefly.

This is what my Firefly looks like now. Still works great. I had 2 before this one but they never looked like this one. I don't know if that's the rubber gasket or not. I tried scraping it out with the plastic picks but it won't budge.

FYI, for future reference, the gasket you mention is really only visible from an angle....the dark area you see in the gap between the plate and the bottom edge of the bowl is the o-ring. You really can't see it when you look into the bowl from directly above. (Unless it's becoming un-seated, that is.)

I've noticed that gap also. I poked around the whole screen until I found a part that had a gap and was able to pull my screen out like that. Excited to take it all apart and give it a proper inspection / cleaning though!
Thanks for the photos.

edit: Does anyone know where to get Firefly vape cases? Hard or soft, doesn't bother me, but as long as I can put my firefly & its relevant parts/charger inside safely :)

My firefly just arrived in the mail! Any solid tips from my fellow vaporents on this?
From what i've learnt so far..
Dont preheat. Just press and inhale. First hit is a 10 second flavour hit, the second third fourth etc are thicker clouds of vape and 20 second'ish inhales per hit. I like to do it that way and stir half way through

Also keep your batteries charged constantly. They go fast and you will find yourself needing them often :)

The firefly got me stoned but I didn't get the huge clouds everyone boasts about :(

Well if you are looking for clouds, they are easily achievable. Go back and read my tips...a densely-packed bowl, and some aggressive leaning on the heat button, with some long draws right up to the resistance point, should produce big clouds.

Of course since you are enjoying some nice effects, clouds are hardly necessary but if you want em, you can get em.

First hit doesn't count. That's rule number one for me. It's simply an appetizer of what's to come, almost like smelling the wine before sipping it. I take a whole nugget and pack it in there. After a few hits, I flip it over. Another few hits, I begin breaking it apart resulting in very efficient use of material. When I want big clouds, I take my gently vaped material from my FF and finish it off in my Lotus or DBV. I don't think my Firefly could ever combust or get my ABV as dark. Learning is the fun part. Practice, practice, practice.

Vape swap shop
Hi all.

I live in the UK and really want a firefly.
Namaste vapes sell them. I heard rumours of fakes, so I asked firefly and they told me they are not an authorised reseller. Namaste tell me there firefly's are 100% genuine and they don't buy them directly from firefly.

Any experiences with namaste vapes? Anyone buy a firefly and was it genuine?

No one else sells them in the UK that I know of.

Namaste Vapes are the real deal. I got mine from there, had extremely supportive and informative ongoing customer support from them, spoke to the owner of the company and asked a few questions, and received my vape from them in pristine condition. My Firefly is definitely legit, was shipped bomb-proof and I had a great purchase experience from Namaste Vapes.

Firefly do say that they are NOT sold outside of the US but they still authorise the resale of them to specific companies by the looks of it.. All Firefly are trying to say is that their warranty does not extend to overseas countries. Namaste had the cheapest price for a Firefly and it's accessories that I could find as well, so look no further my friend :)

Are you concerned about not having a warranty?

I am not as concerned as I should be, because I have faith in the device and in my own care and maintenance techniques :)
I can only hope for the best!

So what does everyone do with their ABV weed? A buddy of mine told me he just puts his on a sandwich then eats it to get high.
