I find my hits are very weak if the unit has not soaked in heat for at least 20 minutes. Maybe even 30ish before I really trust it to put out proper hits.

I keep my stems half full, loosely packed but just slightly pushed down. I put the stem or gong on and start hitting a bit harder than my solo and breathe massive clouds. If it is the stem I do not breathe massive clouds because the vapor is so rich and dense though. i can only stand to take those enormous nano rips thru glass. you should be able to definitely beat solo size rips easy though. my first gong rip is ALWAYS a HUGE cloud of vapor.

This is a problem for me as I can't just leave it on all the time .
Other than me knocking it over , I have curious animals (cats ) walking around my house sicking their noses into things .

This is actually one problem I have with plugins . I don't want to sit around for every waiting to take a hit . If my pain starts up I want to do something now not 10 or 20 mins form now.

That said I thought it was only supposed to be 2 minutes to get up to full heat ?

Turn you enano dial to 10 for 2 minutes then down to eight and begin your session. That is all the time it takes to lift-off from a cold start. After awhile turn it to your usual setting or turn it off.

That s what I have been doing . But I was referring to the above comments

"I find my hits are very weak if the unit has not soaked in heat for at least 20 minutes. Maybe even 30ish before I really trust it to put out proper hits."
And
Let it sit at level 10 for 15 minutes, crank it back down to 6.5 or whatever, wait a minute or two for the heat to drop back down, then try again.

Without any indecation that is it at the proper temp I have no idea what is correct and no way to find out

Sorry I can't help. A two minute heat-up works fine for me for good vapor production. I have never required a 30 minute heat-soak warm-up to get great vapor. Could it possibly be the moisture content in your material?

It could be my material but I think I have tried 3-4 different strains .

Don get me wrong the thing works I can get vapor .
I just don't think it is doing a better , easier or more efficient job of medicating me than my Solo .
Which is why I bought it.
Also I'm sure this is just me and maybe I am expecting too much .
Maybe I need to step into the higher priced vapes . Or maybe just stick with the Solo .
I just thought I could get more form something else .
And maybe its just me . I can accept that .

Solo is good but the enano out-performs the solo. Enano has more air-flow and more power. Keep at it you will get the hang of it. Maybe slow your draw, that may help. What setting are you vaping with enano at?

Good luck
I usually start around 6.5 and go up to 7 or 8

But and I don't know it this is normal or not or if the dial just moved , My Nano does not come on (click ) until it hits 1.5.

I will keep experimenting later today !

My solution to this is I just leave it turned on all the time, but with the wire coiled up so it can sit right next to the outlet. But I also can kind of hide it behind other things so I do not have to worry about it being knocked over or messed with by cats. Then again, my cats never mess with it even if it is out in the open...

I quoted a 15 minute warm up period at level 10 to make sure it's completely warmed up in order to eliminate that as a potential issue. I'm not saying that's 100% necessary. Basically the wood needs to be warm to the touch like a mug of coffee or something.

As for leaving it on, the exposed eating element isn't very hot when left at level 4 or 5 (I can touch it with my finger for a second or two without pain). It's also recessed into the unit so it won't come in contact with anything even if it's upside down.

This is probably less of an issue than you think it is. I suggest experimenting with it at these heat levels to see for yourself. Regardless, you can get up to operating temp (6.5+) in well under a minute if the units been left on at 4 or 5.

I am going to try to leave it on tonight . Maybe at a lower hear as suggested by @Caligula and see what happens . And I will just keep the cats away .
I'm just paranoid (not because of cannabis) and would rather have less vapor then have anyone get hurt !

If it helps I pick duff off of my heater screen with my bare fingers all the time... while it's on... at level 7.

Try the heat soak trick. It pulls massive clouds.

True !
And I know it is probably safe to leave it on but I wish there was some way to cover it while it is on .
Am I the only one who doesn't have the tipping over nano issue?
I'm just happy to know it is not just me !!

I never have that problem. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure ...tuck the cord away and store your Nano safely out of harms way - how hard can that be?:p

I agree But unfortunately with the way my set up is I have to walk by the cord all the time ,and the fact that I am a klutz doesn't help at all:doh:

I don't, but I don't have my non-hardwired unit yet. I even let the nano sit on the ledge of a table and let the knob hang off! scary, huh?

That's how mine usually sits . That's my problem.... and I don't have another place to set it up without having to go upstairs whenever I want to vape

If u want to cover the heating element, put an empty wooden stem on if u have one. Just a thought, I've yet to receive my nano hopefully it's in production as we speak

After switching to e-cigarettes about 4 months ago I decided it's time to stop combustion my weed as well and to purchase a vape. I have done a lot of research over the past month and yesterday purchased the e-nano whixh has been shipped today :D never used a vape before so I'm not exactly sure what to expect but I'm hoping it is good. Since I'm located in the UK I will require a step down converter and I seen the following one on amazon: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B000NIYF0K?pc_redir=1411966658&robot_redir=1

Would anyone be able to confirm if this will be sufficient?

Looking forward to receiving my e-nano :D

Thanks!

A small swatch of good Velcro on the bottom of the Nano and Dial will hold things securely just about anywhere. You can even ring it around the cord and route it out of the way. Where there's a will there's always a way!

I highly suggest ceasing smoking herb right away and take a tolerance break as your unit ships. Once it arrives, solely vape for 1 month (no combustion if possible). At that point your body should be able to differentiate the difference between a "hybrid high" (actives in the herb plus unwanted toxins from combusting like carbon monoxide) and what you really should be experiencing (actives only via vaporization).

Will give it a try, thanks for the suggestion :D

Still slightly worried if I will be enjoying this as much as I enjoy smoking spliffs though, been doing this for the past 8 years or so, and it has become somewhat of a tradition to roll some after I get home from work. Rolling a joint and smoking it while playing some games/watching tv has become a tradition, and I'm still not to certain if I will be able to replace that with a vape. Once I bought my E-cig I haven't smoked any cigarette though so that was quite easy to replace, hope it will be the same with my herbs :D

Yeah, that one will be fine - 100w is the suggested rating from Andy...

Looks identical to the one I got at Maplins for a fiver more.

I was the same, however found preparing the bowl, stiring between hits, fiddling with the glassware (I never smoked through bongs/bubblers, but love vaping through them) etc has replaced most of the ritual for me.

Edit: just to add I too was an upgrade from the solo (which I loved)... I love my nano SOOO much more though. Purity of vapour and speed of delivery - this thing kicks the solo's ass esp through water...

I smoked herb for 16+ years before switching to vaping only. Thinking about burning herb and inhaling it makes me gag at this point. The change will happen but you need to try, hence the suggestion to do vape only for at least a month so your brain gets used to how it feels versus combustion.

Hell just the added flavor alone of vaping was enough to do it for me. YMMV.
