just found this:

http://ismooer.en.alibaba.com/produ...rizer_x_pipe_ecig_vaporizer_smoking_pipe.html

http://www.fasttech.com/products/1/10010113/1882502-isk-x-pipe-16340-dry-content-vaporizer

not sure what to think of it...somehow i am intrigued. this could work equally nice as a imag or similar.

there is not much info (from alibaba):
1. It is used for dry herb and wax

2. The lowest wattage:40W, and the highest: 51W

3. The infrared ray produced by heating ceramics could disinfect

4. When heating, the highest temperature is 275 Celsius, the highest surface temperature is 37 Celsius

5. There is built-in thermal insulation layer in ceramics, heating wire and ceramics are melted in one, and heat evenly and combustion

6. Bottom button, 5 times on/off, working 3 minutes, it stops automatically

7.Fully charged, it get to 205 celsius for 28 seconds, it takes 45 seconds to finish heating

if i'm correct: battery goes into the bigger hole, vapor comes back from the smaller, heating chamber in the big part of the pipe (as normal pipes), battery replaceable

Cool Design.. Chamber looks like flowermate's but can't tell for sure.. :) I like the looks very much. Those are some serious batteries right ,like the one Imag/x-mag uses ?

Looking at the parts in the 2nd pic, it seems like there's a battery compartment safety vent which is connected right into the mouthpiece. That's a deal-breaker for me.

That's what it seemed to me as well:

At last an e-Cig manufacturer showing some respect for his customers!! Is there separate venting for the battery? Anyway i wonder how the plastic tube will taste but that's heading the right way considering there's no stopping them offering power control and even perhaps thermostatic action... It could become an eye opener, especially if continues to sell below the 100 $ threshold!

I also agree that the vapor travels through the smaller hole. But why is the bigger hole there? Am I just seeing things or is there a hole in the battery cap that matches up with the hole in the mouthpiece?

edit: OK I think I see what it is... it's not a hole in the battery cap, there's a mortise tenon connection there to attach the mouthpiece.

man it would be such a waste of effort if it combusted herb...well the info is very crappy. 275celsius max temp is too high for plant matter, yes. but is it always at max?
5. There is built-in thermal insulation layer in ceramics, heating wire and ceramics are melted in one, and heat evenly and combustion
heating evenly, nice. "and combustion", wait what?
6. Bottom button, 5 times on/off, working 3 minutes, it stops automatically
why would it need a 3minutes session timer if it combusted
2. The lowest wattage:40W, and the highest: 51W
this could mean different temperature levels...

there is a skype contact listed on alibaba, maybe someone is motivated and calls them to find out a little more? :D

Hi again FunkyJunky,

...maybe someone is motivated and calls them to find out a little more?

Sorry, i must admit my Mandarin is just too rusty, euh... :D But if it's on Alibaba then i'm not surprized anyway, considering some recent confusion over an IH dabber that's not 100 % induction it turned out...

Anyway that's still a stimulating find, it shall evolve or die so time works for us: i'll relax and watch what happens once in a while (i don't do e-Commerce, it has to reach me through local dealers).

Thank you for sharing this, being a pipe user i would have felt i missed something (at least in terms of canna-news)!

By the way, could that round cap down under be a rotating button?...

China is quietly taking forward steps in the dry herb business. My 2 Chinese vapes have been reliable (FM and zimag+), and I wouldn't mind getting this one. I'm loving that pipe design. It's a mix of old school with new school vaping. I'll read up on @Egzoset's updates lol

Yes, so it seems! Maybe they're even monitoring us right now, at least i can't criticize much over plastics as i found convenient myself to have flexible PVC for my pipe's own extension tubing... The way it's laid out i might even consider using a stainless-steel filter and/or cotton, actually, since there's proper/convenient access to implement this exactly! So, indeed the orient dragon may be up to something...

If it's not forcing the owner to ventilate hardware i'm ready to love it too eventually, provided i can avoid combustion because that's the one thing i don't need/wish to negocitate and i can hardly imagine myself even thinking of some more pipe modding again. M'well, unless it were the perfect prototyping platform for my LavaWand fantasy, that is. Time to use that ECF account!...

Would it endure the same fire-flame treatment as my VaporGenie once converted for butane?

At least i know for a fact that's no question i can ask them out there!!

hehe i actually did chat with this skypecontact :) very friendly staff. he actually went to the office to take pictures of the inside of the heating chamber.

DUB8ieo.jpg

so far so good.

but now the sad part:
this pipe is intended to combust! it heats up to 275°C as stated in posts above, herbal matter will burn.
the only possible use i see for this community are concentrates.

i mentioned we all are looking for "no ash" products, this seemed to be a understandable term. he recommended me the titanII, aparently they sell/produce them too. told him that with lower temperature setting it might be usable as a vaporizer and he wanted to tell his boss, so far so good.

bummer, as i think its a nice design/concept. maybe someone is willing to try it nevertheless for concentrates? :)

funkyjunky,

max

Out to lunch
hmm 275°C sounds like it would combust your herbs
That doesn't mean the herb gets that high of a temp. In fact it couldn't. It would guarantee combustion.
this pipe is intended to combust!
Is it? It's described as a dry herb vaporizer, and I wouldn't condemn it as just a smoking pipe based on an Alibaba page. If it's designed as a vaporizer OR smoking pipe it wouldn't be the first. That said, I'm not gonna buy 10 of 'em to find out.

Fred: Notice that :
1,it used for dry herb or marijuana,
this device high temperature produced by infra-red light heating inside , not vaporize but combust inside.
So ,Wax can't obtain good effect nowaday.
2,The temperature could reach 275°C, but it is a gradual process, the temperature purpose is to burn fully.
if the dry herbs burn out ,the temperature won't add more.
[...]
Fred: yes , it will leave ash ,then
this is from my conversation with fred.ismoke on skype

and fasttech sells one item for $63 incl shipping, check first post.
