Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud EVO

If you need smoothness then head on over to the cheap high quality bubblers thread. There are many pieces of Chinese glass which will take about 2 weeks to arrive but work wonders and really truly make a difference. Get one with lots of percolators. You won't even feel yourself inhaling.

You spent a lot of money on a nice vape so IMO don't waste a ton of money on brand name glass if you just need the filtration.

I think the birdcage one was suggested to me

I can't do anything for at least at month so why I care so much is beyond me

There are many budget pieces lots of people here like.

Pick one out which several people have, order it when you can afford to spare $35, and forget about it until it shows up in about 2 weeks.

Vaping thru water is an epiphany and IMO as a medical user vaping thru water helps so much. IMO i will be in the minority and say i was honestly not a very big fan of any of the HT's i used. i would prefer to use my evo thru a china bong with several percs and strong diffusion instead evrey day.

One of the best pieces I have to vape through came from Apollo Glass Works.. they used to have an iOffer store and their stuff was pretty reasonable. I think I paid $150.00 for what I got. Its a nice piece, nothing fancy but well made and extremely functional.

I flew from Newark to Denver and back with my evo and carrying case and the scanner didn't even bat an eye in both cases, much to my surprise.
Make sure it's clean and if stopped say its a medical delivery device.
There is no way I'd check it in my luggage or let it our of my sight, too special and would probably end up lost, broken, or "confiscated"

I'm not flying, I'm driving. But like I said, I don't have a case, and if it broke in transit I'd be devastated. And not in a good way :-). LOL.

I should get a case and I've been meaning to actually. Just no funds for that at the current moment.

The best piece I've hit an evo through is an EFS doughnut tube, not cheap, but rock solid and so much capacity it's insane!

Just checking in, been a while, to share a little info . . .

I purchased the EVO neoprene jacket in the recent VXL promotion. Took a chance even though there have been a number of complaints here about the smell, but I haven't had an issue with that at all. Sure, if I put my nose right to it, there is a faint but not unpleasant (or unexpected) odor; when hitting it I don't detect the smell at all. The acid test was asking the wife to check it out, as she has a very acute sense of smell. And she had the same reaction. Didn't need to do any burn-off, either. Just left it on set at 3 for the evening. Maybe the material has been changed? In any event, for us odor is a total non-issue.

Functionally, it does the job. I've been using 3 wristbands and can grab the EVO at the right place almost blind-folded now. However, I've started using it more in the inverted position, which makes for a bit of wrist awkwardness lifting it off each hit for the clear. The jacket eliminates that. It's plenty comfortable to grab anywhere even close to the top, even on max heat.

Aesthetically, it has a nice colorful VXL logo. However, the cutouts are not perfectly precise in alignment with the switch, knob, and plug. Doesn't affect its usefulness, but I suppose it might annoy some of us with OCD. ;)

So for $10, I think the value is there. But I don't think I'd pay anymore than that.

On a different note, @Dr. Plutonious posted last week a pic of his Hydrafoot 2.0 coupled with the VXL mouthpiece, and noted how good the action was and the extra vapor cooling the mouthpiece adds. I like the perc action too, even though the piece delivers a soft chug and I'm not a chuggy person at all. But there are a lot of slits so filtration is great, and I like the modest size can on it. What I'm doing differently though - recent posts inquiring how to max reduce any harshness made me think to post this - is I'm setting my HydraLine w/ice on top of the HF. The combined chambers make for perfect volume for me (seems similar to that of my Mobius Ion), the filtration is perfect and the vapor is very soft. Of course it takes more pull than using either piece by itself (the HL is drag free, the HF has a little). But even for a guy who really doesn't like anything close to a hard pull, the pull is still comfortable and well worth the vapor result. This obviously is not an inexpensive setup, but I would think that a less expensive but equally performing alternative to the HL would do as good a job. YMMV.

Ok not really understanding this but I am one of the people really concerned with harshness. I have to have throat surgery on thurs and may never be able to partake again. I've heard everything from cheap Chinese bubblers to edibles (not in even am MMJ state) but I am looking this up right now even though there is no way I can afford it. I don't want to do any more damage to my throat but I don't want to pair my xhale with a bad piece. I don't know why it even matters - I can't do anything for the next month. The break is good for me; I am just as worried that this might be cancer,

I'm so sorry to hear of your travails. I'm not a stranger to the concern and fear that you have. All I can offer by way of encouragement is that until and unless there is a confirmed pathology, one cannot know for sure what is ahead and so there is reason to hope. Seek positive thoughts and support until you've crossed the bridge. Just last week my cousin had a throat surgery over which she had been very worried since C runs on her side of the family, and not only was the surgery a complete success but pathology came back totally clear.

Fwiw, here is a pic of the setup I was describing. (Sorry about the small size; I need to find a different image hosting service.) But I think you can make out the HydraTube - in this case, the HydraLine model - sitting on the top joint of the Hydrafoot 2.0.

There are other ways to do this with much less expensive glass, as has been mentioned. Unfortunately it takes some searching and reading to understand the alternatives. What makes my setup work well to hold down the harshness - which I must do - is the combination of the EVO's superior extraction even at lower temp (enabling more potent, but fewer hits), very good percolation in the glass, and ice (or an alternative like glycerine).

That said, there are other alternatives, again already mentioned, such as edibles. Several years ago I had a serious problem with my larynx and bronchial tubes. In my case at least, the effort required to pull through a whip really aggravated the problem. I found two solutions which worked for the months required to heal. First, again already mentioned, was using a bag; but it was important that it not be huge because I needed the hits to be small (like natural breathing) and relatively fresh (stale vapor is irritating). The second solution was using a vape with a fan and lower temp; on low speed I placed the end of the whip to my nostril, similar to an oxygen intake tube. That way the vape did all the work, I just breathed naturally. The whip was long enough that the exiting vapor had cooled to about room temp. Of course I have no idea if any of these methods may be of value to you, I share this like others in the hope that you can find the right solution for you.

Very best of luck.

EDIT: The HydraLine is no longer offered by VXL, as they discontinued all HT's designed for ice.

Wow that was a whole lot of really useful information. So the hydra foot would go into my side circ. I have a bong that I used to turn the exhale upside down, I am researching edibles right now. All of this is so overwhelming.

Your support is so kind. We have a lot of the same issues. I think I was misusing the pax and using the exhale at too high a temp. How long does herb stay fresh for; it will be a total of 2 months before I can use anything. I will be so nervous. Some people say warm water; some people say cold water - some one told me about the vapor tamer. You know I am really a fun person but this has really been so depressing. One good thing is that if I ever get to start again my tolerance will be way down. Watching the Saints last night didn't help much. Your cousin situation gave me confidence. I'm 55 so I am in a prime age for the c.

Trying to stay hopeful; this community has been really important to me. Thanks

Vapor Sloth
Just got my EVO back from warranty repair and . . . wow . . . Much improved from my original. My new bamboo, which seems to have a deeper opening on the bottom, has a slightly more open draw which was nice. At first I was confused with the performance at my old setting but seeing the firmware was different, no more flashing lights and what seems to be more direct temp sensing, I turned up the dial to like 2/2:15-ish. HUGE DRAGON CLOUDZZZ!!! and fantastic purity of flavor. My old EVO at this setting and output would have tasted hashed. Way to go VXL!!!

Fantastic turn around time of 1 week end to end and even though it might have been my fault, I really don't remember, they covered it under warranty!!! Thanks guys!!! :)

They were also kind enough to throw in a concentrate container and a cool beer coozy . . . :D

Oh wow the neoprene sleeves take up the whole EVO now? That's interesting. Mine only takes up the top half and I kind of like it that way.

Drinking the exact same beer right now - love that chocolaty finish

I also wanted to chime in RE: the Quartz VXN:
Think I heard VXC say the next production run wont be for a few weeks, but my quartz VXN with a different design than the boro VXN is performing extremely well. The curved round bottom does seem to work better: with full extraction & avoiding overheating. Very happy with it - fat dabs yet so smooth and tasty. Self-cleaning seems to work better as well, possibly as per some thermodynamics explanation I remember from @Enchantre some posts ago.

I need the damn adapters. I hate inverting. My new ELBS are a major pia and are hard as hell to get out. When the hit is done and I take the EVO off my piece, the top of my ELB comes off. I just can't use it until I get the adapters.

Have you "trained" your new ELB's?

Thx for the tip, Stu. Will do!

Well, this is a helluva lot better. Image from post up the page. I absolutely love this setup. And it is super safe: The HL design as it is does a very good job of preventing water down the joint thus protecting the EVO, but when mounted this way even if there is overflow it goes into the HF. And did I mention how soft the vapor is? Since VXL no longer offer ice HT's, if anyone knows of a comparable piece to the HL, it would be a great service to post that here.

And . . . thanks again, Stu!

EDIT: Oops, back-to-back posts! Accidental, sorry 'bout that.

EDIT: Thx, o majestic moderator.

What does a bamboo repair go for these days anyway?

3 years ago when I got my mml the bud tender said he had only one vaporizer!
I asked: "what is it"?
He said in a proud voice: "I have a Cloud don't all vaporist"?

One day I'll have one too!
Do you think it had bamboo?
