Oil Prices Vs Gold Prices

I just realized that oil cost as much as gold literally.
A good gram of oil goes for $40.
A gram of gold as of today costs $39.
When my buddy told me this i didn't believe him, until i looked it up myself.

I thought they were both the same thing anyway

you can't dab gold though.....

I'm sure someone has already named an oil "liquid gold." If they haven't, I'm sure they will eventually.

What utopian paradise do you live in where $40 gets you a gram of good oil? Round these parts, you're looking at a $50-80/g investment for quality nug run oil from any of the medicsl dispensaries unless you catch a legal sale or buy in costco bulk. Shit, I hear tales of places in Los Angeles selling premium grams for $100/g.

Off topic... If I had invested all the money I've spent on MJ, on gold... how rich would I be right now?
