Gardening is man's first occupation!
Evolutionarily speaking, at least, agriculture followed thousands of years of running away from big things with sharp teeth.

Along with a lot of folks here I'm not ready to retire to the garden just yet. Still busy running from predators (for what seems like thousands of years) :whip:and trying to build a nest egg. A little less than five years for me before I can move on to the agricultural age. Congrats to those of you who worked so hard for so long to get there.

Good point, Hunter/Gathering predated the advent of agriculture (I guess domestication of animals came before or after depending?) but to keep it in perspective less than 10% of the support for the community comes from those brave men and their aggressive nature, the village very much survives on the women and children gathering nuts and berries and digging grubs and stuff. It's still happening today in remote areas in fact.

I get it that most see themselves as far to young to worry about retirement and sadly think very few of them are actually working in that direction. Investing in your future before the present is worth considering, the future will happen with or without your support. Each guy should have a plan I think. Mine involved buying Life Insurance when young (and it was cheap). I had nobody 'to protect' but the equity I built up over the early years of apartment living allowed me to borrow enough money (with savings to date) for a down payment on a house. Back when that was much harder to do. I had to have a roomie for several years until I could afford the full mortgage, but at that point you're no longer putting rent money in the landlord's bank account but equity in your house.

Over time, as workmate's rents go up the mortgage doesn't. My mortgage went from crippling, through OK, right to downright cheap.....so I upped the principle payments a mite to avoid the interest.

So now I no longer have rent/mortgage to pay (having paid off the loan) and my property tax is based on 25 year old values. Insurance is bigger than the taxes. Retirement money goes a lot further if you're not looking at rent, credit card payments, new cars, college loans and the like......but you need a plan to get there, and best started as early as possible IMO. It's not easy, but the reward is priceless.

Hopefully there's a garden in your future as well, best think about staking it out? You know what the Real Estate guys say "get lots when you're young".........

My wife and I are working hard for retirement. We've been foregoing vacations and crazy spending the last couple of years to pay off our debt. All we've got left are car payments and the house. The cars were well used when we got them and will be paid off this year. The house we bought on a 15-yr mortgage, saving a ton on interest, and it will be free and clear just as we retire.

Young guys should be planning way ahead. Investing just $100 a month (every month) into something like an S&P index fund from age 25 will let you retire with a million in the bank. Even if you're older you can improve retirement by paying things off/down now. Interest will kill you. Nothing feels better than not owing anyone anything. Then, let the gardening begin!!

Bravo SM and spouse!!!! I'm preaching to the choir it seems, hopefully the good folks in the cheap seats are eavesdropping.......you are so very right! Getting out of debt is way better than the alternatives, high as the cost might be.

We'll save you a spot in the garden, sun or shade?

In true stoner fashion I meant to make a post yesterday but got very busy and then slept, got busy again, and fell asleep again. Anyways it seems @OF covered it in his post to @Caligula but he was kind enough to send me a charging cutoff box as well a few weeks ago. I mainly use my Solo with the power adapter at the desk so battery life hasn't been an issue for me, however because he asked and sent me one I decided to go hard on the sessions to drain the battery and have an opportunity to use it. I don't know what else there is to be said other than it works perfectly and does make the charging times noticeable shorter. After a few charges I got a little fancy with it and decided to rotate the controlling screw down some and then slowly adjust it up. I went from having it cut off at the blinking charge light to roughly halfway between the 6 and 7 LED. Again, it worked just as expected, beeping to alert me that it finished before cutting off power to the Solo. As I mentioned I also noticed that the time it took to complete a charge seemed to be reduced compared to using just the stock charger. I charged it from the point where it had 1 LED left, to doing two sessions after it showed no LED's, as well as a few half/three-quarter charges here and there. So far so good. The simplicity of it is great as well, just connect and press the button and you can walk away knowing that it will stop charging at your set point.

As someone who is obsessive about keeping his smartphone from charging to 100%, this sounds fantastic! I'd sure pay for one…

Cell phones? AFAIK they use the same charge profile (probably one of the popular Li Ion charge control ICs), I see no reason why the same scheme couldn't be made to work there. I've made a version for Ascent, should be the same connector and charge rate issues.......

If you've a mind to, please PM me and we can chat a bit? Be forewarned I'm not a fan of cell phones, tool of the devil you know. Mine is in the car glove compartment with the charger (in case of a flat tire or something), the battery is sure to be dead.

Sure will, starting with less coughing. Much less.

The 'lighter' fractions are more concentrated at lower temps (this includes THC), other good stuff (like CBDs) tend to be a larger percentage at higher temps. Try it and see what you like?

Starting at a low heat and working your way up allows you to see and feel what temp works best for the herb you are using. If you aren't getting enough flavor,? Turn the temp up. If you find that your vapor is too harsh and making you cough? Turn the temp down. We all have different tolerances to vapor.

Got some BHO at the dispensary will try it with some AK 47 using the D020 bubbler and the Solo. This should help with:zzz:. . Better than taking a sleeping pill.

Its Just Temporary
I like temp 5 paired with my D020 and Moby Dick or North London Church.4 huge lungfulls, then done for 30 minutes.Empty the stem, refill and repeat.I never do more than 4 from one stem. The only thing I ever alternate is what goes into the stem.(and the stems themselves...so many choices)

Hey bro - I sure do like it that way! :leaf:

More info here please - I had read the same somewhere, but never saved it! Can you send me to any sites that discuss this? :science:

It seems to back up my thoughts & experience, 'cause now that my lungs are better, I'm finding I can finish a load on 7 if I "go slow on low" - because the terpenes that stim my cough center come off 1st!

If, as you say, CBDs come off @ higher temps, one can save end-of-load for high CBD medicaledibles or smash it all down for the full stone effect! I presently have a large inventory of butter & top shake, so I might as well smoke it w/gusto!

Thanx for your knowledge  i :luv: this blog i  my SOLO :myday:

I wouldn't want to unduly interfere with your fun finding out. There's a huge amount of information out there on the topic, both on this site and elsewhere. A couple of Google searches could easily fill out an afternoon.

One place you might miss, though, is worth pointing out perhaps:

Note the pie chart about 3/4 of the way through.

Good luck in your holy quest. Take good notes, your memory after the test might not be all that reliable.....

@OF
Interesting stuff as always ...

I like the fact that they used the mflb as the vape of choice for their testing .
But I've never heard of the indica strain ' Mango ' tho .
And now that one of my dispensary is offering strains that have high CBD content .
I really want to give it a try and see the different effects , with my mflb and Solo .

@CarolKing you were so right, best decision since i started vaping
Same here!♡

Let me add: @OF has this device I call a gizmo.
I charged the SOLO this morning after Wake & Vake!
When I came back for my before breakfast session!
The unit was off!
The device was full charged!
This gizmo that OF designed and made is awesome!
@ Quetzalcoatl what are your findings?
