FlowerMate Vapormax V/V5.0/V5.0S/V5 Pro

I'm a little disappointed by my flowermate. I'm not sure if I'm not putting enough in there but I normally don't load big amounts in any of the vapes I have.

I get pretty wispy results from the amount I put in there. The poo is even colored and looks done.

I'm not sure if I'm asking too much from battery powered unit?

Let's just say it's a ultra-conservative state somewhere in middle America. I miss living in CO so badly...and will make it back there some day. They had just decriminalized anything less than 1oz on your person right before I had to move away due to my job. I haven't been able go back since they went fully legal for recreation.

edit: it's not that kind is never available. it's just very expensive and inconsistent, both in quality and availability. I've never seen shatter/BHO here, but would love to mix up a nice potent e-juice to use in a vape pen when i'm out and about.

Thanks for the tip...I will measure that interior diameter as well. May just take the charger to Radio Shack and do some side by side comparisons.

New to the forum and vaping. Bought a 5s a few weeks ago and love it. Where's the cheapest place to get more in the US these days?

Maybe. My experience with other, more expensive portables is quite limited, but they didn't' seem to produce much more clouds than the Vapormax. Could just be typical of battery unit vs hardwired, and lack of precise temp control. It's certainly nothing like some of the desktop rigs I've seen, in terms of vapor production. I'm still experimenting with the Flowermate, to see if loose is better than packing, but I have been putting a couple of drops of e-juice on my very dry herb, to help it produce more vapor. It may be a psychological thing, but it just FEELS like I get better/bigger hits, when I'm blowing out something I can see.

I think EBay is still the best place to purchase one in the States, unless you just happen to have a local shop that carries them by now. They'd probably mark it up even more than online stores. You can still find them for under $100 shipped for free from the US, but I don't see any real bargains out there like the Massdrop deal anymore.

It's not that it's battery powered. It's a pocket vape with a set temp. I've heard complaints for years about the iolite's lack of big hits, clouds, whatever, but I've used an iolite a lot and it puts out vapor just fine, and visible exhales as well, as long as you have good light. The first time my wife used it (she'd been used to the Purple Days vape-also fixed temp and restricted hits) she got wasted in a hurry. Don't judge a vape by how hard it can punch you in the lungs or how big your exhales are. Does it get you the effect you're looking for with a reasonable amount of herb? If yes, then success. And of course you have to consider that small vape=relatively small hits, and more hits are needed, vs. a larger vape, as well as the fact that a fixed temp model can't produce the thicker vapor you get with higher temps.

Yes, the owner of that site just sent me a private message about this site, too. How can they be that cheap and still be authentic?

They are cheaper than that from the manufacturer. You shouldn't have to pay more than 80 dollars for this vape.

Unsure but they have advertised on FC before.

I got the same PM, I wouldn't mind picking up a spare but it almost seems too try hard and I'm leery. If anyone can confirm they are a legit outfit that would be awesome.

I don't think its any less try hard than Wizard Puff.

From my perspective they (user:slide4less) seem to be advertising specifically to our community. By doing that their prices should reflect what we know them to be. They provide an address and are active on this forum. I don't think they would scam people knowing that a couple days later they would be called out on it on this forum.

I believe this was their more formal introduction to FC.

The company has been in business for many years and the owner registered here over 4 years ago.

I don't know why so many people think there's such a high risk of being ripped off by on-line vape dealers who take your money and never deliver a product. It just doesn't happen. In order to steal any significant amount of money, they'd have to accept cash only, and I don't think there are enough stupid people out there for that to work.

Visible vapor.

I have been using the FM V5 for a couple of weeks now and was curious about everyone's experience with visible exhale vapor. When I first started using it there was zero visible vapors, at first went overboard thinking it wasn't doing anything

Now after using it it for a while I am starting to see trace amounts of vapor, same herb, same everything. What gives?

A few days after getting the FM I got a Pinnacle Pro and on level one heat it looks like I was smoking there was so much vapor. Sure wish the PnP had the battery life of the FM!

I just called slide4less/authorizedvaporizerdealer.com about the special on blue FM's. He has way too many blue ones and is selling that color down (probably for a week or two, depending on how fast they go) at his cost, plus the approximate shipping cost. So if you want a great price and don't mind blue, call 1-888-659-8731 for the FC special. The fixed temp model is $50 + $4 shipping, and the 3 temp version is $59 + 4.

He's going to fix the website price when he gets a chance. His intent was to price the variable temp version at $68, including shipping. That's not working out for everyone right now, with some getting charged shipping and some not. I told him about that and still don't know what's going on there. For phone orders he'll take your credit card # or send you a PayPal invoice. Even when the website price gets corrected, you'll save a few bucks with a phone order.

Apples and oranges. Different brand, design, and likely a different heat setting.

Expecting big vapor clouds from a small pocket portable is expecting too much, and I would bet big bucks that your "zero visible vapors" was not really zero. Did your herb turn brown? If so, then your vape reached vaping temp and produced vapor. If you inhaled then you got the vapor it produced. Surely you got an effect, assuming you weren't already so high you couldn't tell. Don't get hung up on having to see a big cloud of vapor in order to determine if the unit is working or not. Keep in mind that visible vapor needs good lighting to be seen. The less dense the vapor, the better the lighting you need in order to see it. Also, if you're using the fixed temp version, you won't see as much vapor as the guy who's using the 3 step model at the highest setting, since higher temps produce thicker vapor.

I thought the single temp model was pretty much the same as the highest heat setting on the 3 step model?
The imag plus can produce some big clouds for a pocket portable too fwiw

The highest setting on the 5S is 415 F. I doubt that's the setting the fixed temp version uses. Pretty sure no fixed temp model on the market uses a setting that high.
