Transplant Recipients.......

Just got this email from my dispensary. Don't know if this would apply to anyone here, but it may, so here it is:

Dear Cornerstone Family,

ASA (Americans for Safe Access) needs our help. They are forming a committee of cannabis patients who are organ transplant recipients or awaiting an organ transplant. The committee will help ASA pass a medical marijuana organ transplant bill, so that those using cannabis as medicine will not be denied a transplant, or treatment once they receive a transplant.

Currently potential transplant recipients are being denied transplants, and transplant recipients are being denied treatments if medicinal cannabis is found in their system. This is a discrimination that needs to be reconsidered and amended.

If you are a transplant recipient, and are interested in participating please sign up by responding with your -name and telephone#- and ASA will be in touch ASAP.

Thank you.

I recently had an oral surgeon refuse to pull a diseased tooth because I was a medical cannabis patient. He also stated in his notes that he felt I was "Munchausen". The tooth got pulled elsewhere and was totally rotten and cracked at the root, no endodontist could've saved it(I have pics, as well as the tooth, just in case). Doctors go completely crazy when they find out you are an MMJ patient.

:disgust: WTF I can't even understand that shit!

Can not fucking believe this! MMJ patients are just accepting medicine that is made available to them which ails their symptoms.. Why is that so wrong?

Doesn't work for wall street
Bewilders and aggravates me every time I hear about the atrocious lack of understanding out there... It's a fucking plant. It's a miracle cure.. I often wonder if all of the youtube videos of people doing massive dabs and all of the stoner movies somehow hinder the cultural progression of MJ into the medical mainstream, but then I kick back, have a vape and laugh it off.. They just can't stop a good thing even if they try, let euphoria and pain relief be accepted!
I wish these uptight doctors and dentists would do the same instead of refusing treatment to a fellow brother or sister.

That should be illegal in itself, to deny someone health care for using medicine.. Wow..

I'm in the process of applying for a medical license even though cannabis will be legal in a few months. This thread is discouraging. I had a kidney transplant 15 years ago and I thought by now things would have changed. I may be safer skipping a medical card and there's something very depressing about that. I also work in a place that would fire me if they found out I had a medical card.

Just keep it a secret and if they test, hopefully it's urine so you can use synthetic urine. but im sure they do blood test unfortunately

Exactly why I'm not sure getting a medical license is a good idea. I think it would be harder to keep that secret.

Medical records are your private business. Employers and such have no access to your medical records. Therefore shouldn't know what medications you're taking .But then again I'm not in a medical state.
I spent the past day or two at the Mayo Clinic preparing for my first open heart surgery. I'm not on a transplant list list yet ,but I imagine I will be eventually so I decided to keep my cannabis use a secret.
It truly is a fucked up world we live in.:disgust:
Get you're card and keep it a secret. Imo
