My 8 came with the shorty tube missing the bottom spring, but I can work around it with all the other Persei parts I have in the meantime. (No complaints, as technically I just bought the top! However, G is already on it)

My initial comments pretty much sum up my review: solid
This thing means business! The button is fluid, provides a solid contact when pushed (I was expected at least a bit of mushiness... no...)

Hot damn, even if you cross the streams (combine the short and tall tubes), the logos still line up!

Solid. You can beat away all the pretenders to the throne with the 8.

I got my buddy... Hermes is my buddy.

Came home to my 8 today. I must say that what comes to mind when I took it out of the box (actually I even like the box it comes in with the cryptic binary code and closure magnets.) was the weight of this thing. I work with tools all day, not small tools either. The 8 reminds me of the heft and feel of the tools that I use all day. As I checked it out, after unboxing and comparing it with my Persei I was thinking, "does this thing already have batteries inside it?" It's that heavy. In a good way. I am totally impressed with the construction of this vaporizer. The dual end cap design with the 510 and 601 threads instantly available is absolutely brilliant. In my opinion anyone who feels like they are left hanging after the demise of TV will feel more than comfortable with this paired with the Hercules SR-7x, or any of the other attachments that W9 offers. Thanks @THC SCIENTIFIC for a great product, AND a really great deal on the pre-order. Literally a bargain at twice the price.!

A friend of mine stopped by. She had my PnP for several months and still has my Vapman basic. I introduced her to the Persei today. She did 15 seconds with battery on, then a 15 second draw, then a 30-40 second cool down. After two hits, she was sure nothing was happening (Vapman and PnP have bigger clouds). I told her to do three more. She texted me from home 15 minutes later to tell me she should have stopped at 1 hit. It knocked her socks off. This was with wax that seems pretty dirty and she was blown away.

I no longer mourn the loss of the Cera. This thing rocks.

Most important for me, I did not partake. I could not detect a hint of odor...before, during, or after. Huge win, my friends.

No vapor was coming out? Or no effects from vapor?

Great Scott!
Giving my herc its first full cleaning. It started getting all sticky and kind of needed it. I ran around a gram through it. Even while iso soaking it the coil didn't slide up lol. That was the only part I left together while cleaning. I need to fish out the coil once its dry and give it a nice torching.

This will be my test of ability to put it back together I guess. I've got my kiss cart standing by just in case I struggle with anything, should be alright.

She was expecting more obvious vapor. She must be a cloud chaser. It changed her mind.

I was totally intimidated by the Herc the first time I took it apart...it felt like I was building a nuclear reactor. I finally thought, WTF it's mechanical. Stop freaking out and pay attention to the parts and not the illustrations! At that point, it all came together and it went together without a hitch. It isn't nearly as complicated as you would guess. I'm looking forward to the cleaning, just to see if I'm blowing smoke up my own ass.

Just tested out my new 8. I have to compliment G on the mechanical switch design. Beautiful simple design that works like butter. No misfires like some e cig mods. Side button mechanical mod 8 is amazing. Nice fresh battery performance with my SR71. The 8 is a solid piece of fine machined stainless steel. Beautiful finish and fully serviceable. The top can be disassembled and assembled in seconds.

thank you for the vote of confidence but i think we have one issue where the device was moded to work, we are going to revisit the center pins today with my engineers to see how we can make it 100% sure fire.

Interesting stuff. Out of the box I found a intermittent misfire operating the Hercules SR71. I found that the bottom PTFE insert was not fully seated. Reassembled the top and it's been good 100%. I guess time will tell. But so far it's a shiny beautiful performer.

Ya this is also what we thought about the current unit, but not sure unless he finishes modding it, hes only going to shave off a layer of the ptfe caps to be able to insert it a tiny bit more but since we dont have the unit here we have to take his word for it and we do trust him as he is a knowledgeable person.
