@exit I think that you might have missed what @FlyingLow was trying to say. I'm pretty sure that we all agree that small is better for oil rigs and probably have tried a bunch of different sizes and designs. But... There is nothing at all special about the design of a baby bottle rig that would improve its function over a different rig of the same volume with a similar perc. The baby bottle shape is purely a gimmick and as much as it appeals to some it is equally unappealing to others.

You can make a small version of anything and I feel like just about anything would be better than a baby bottle. I am really digging this little guy from distilled glass

Way better than this

Thank you for the clarification! This baby bottle thing was new to me. I thought when I read "baby bottle rig" people were talking about stuff like the Kathy recycler. Not actually baby size rigs.

special like everyone else
I bought
http://www.dhgate.com/product/new-come-glass-ash-catch-with-honey-comb/194447697.html
(thanks @ataxian ) with this adapter to interface with a http://www.dhgate.com/product/pinnacle-pro-glass-smoking-water-pipe-vaporblunt/184494946.html.

It would be nice if I could find one of those adapters with a slight (30-45 degree) angle for ergonomics and not to much to affect the function of the hydro tube.

I'm planning on making a function video when my kathy stuff gets here.

For fun I also picked up 10 of these for $20 (w/color requests). For when I'm stoned. See it's relevant.

The item "no longer exists" so here's a similar link.

YQ-42 came in yesterday. I'm really liking it and have dabbed and combusted through it. However I am having a hell of a time with the water levels. I can get the matrix to perc beautifully but can never seem to get the honey comb right. Any suggestions?

Still waiting on the ashcatcher from kathy. It's been in limbo from San Francisco since the 20th, a little longer than Sunshine but I imagine it'll show up tomorrow. I'm going to wait to put my "review" in the dhglass thread.

It diffuses my vapor great. No irritation after hits. Takes a little bit of a pull to get the perc to fire with that water level. The perc definitely doesn't fire 'smoothly', it cycles around in a clock like pattern. The cuts aren't super precise/clean. I feel that the perc could sit lower, and require less water, and thus have less drag to initiate. I do like how easy/quick it is to clear; 18mm? small piece?

For the price, its good bang for the buck. But with the way the perc fires, they have some work to do.

EDIT: Per suggestions below on water level, I have found a level that has less drag, and still cools well enough.

You got too much water in that piece imo.

No I kind of want to though since they have stereo matrix with a roor logo for less than yingmin wants for a mobius labelled one (at least when shipping to canada is factored in). Just not sure I want to order outside of dhgate which has buyer protection.

I usually have the water just below the honeycomb to get it to fire good. I just try not to pull to hard or some water can get pulled into the top perk and then it won't fire anymore

Yeah, well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Damn you, party liquor
^^^ and not even a glimpse of what their copy looks like. What kind of Perc is on that second recycler? If that's one of those crazy stem Percs I've seen recently, there's no way they come close to copying those. Off to YouTube to check out the real one

Edit...haven't found one yet

So I finally received two of the 4 pieces ordered on the 18th of Aug and received on the 22nd of September, so Europeans patience is the essence but wonderful is the reward

This is a photo of them both next to the GB187 for your pleasure.

Just opened the packaged and both of the pieces are in good nick, 3 (see above photo) is much taller than expected, it has the down stem a little skewed and the base seems kinda thin, definitely not one for the clumsies :ugh:, I love the mouth piece, the lips have a nice ledge to rest on. the slits on the Reti perc are not all at the same level but seemed to be polished. On both items the ground joints are nice and tight. small bubbles are in and there but nothing to cry about.

If anyone wishes I'll try to get a vid out of number 3 (Reti perc) as the Ratchet has been covered a few times but I can't recall any of the other.

N4kteYH.jpg

I wouldn't mind a video of the reti :ninja: and possibly a link.....just sayn :ninja:

So I finally managed to upload a couple of videos of this Phallic bubbler.

First of all as always when a new bubbler comes through my door I’m always so eager and full of expectations to give it a shot and always a little disappointed when all it really does is making bubbles

So first impression, I do like the way it sits, smooth, erected and proud. It wasn’t actually till I shot it that I realized this bubbler was so Cockylike .

I feel that the perc sits a little to high in the bottom chamber or rather that the actual chamber should have been a little taller, as I feel the bubbles get trapped somehow and are not able to develop thus creating a displacement of water/large bubbles as opposed to a myriad of tiny bubbles, which I do prefer.

Could that be the reason that it does not pull vapor that easily if I compare it to the beloved D020 which is half Retilike. I really have to give it some in order to get a decent cloud going which I’m not keen on.

So do I like it, yes I do, but it won’t end up been one of my favourites!

But time will tell as one of the lessons I have learned is that the use of bubblers can be very subjective, my reaction/feeling changes depending on which bubbler I used last.

So is it worth the money, for $34 or 25 Euros shipped, yes it is, to me anyway. Of course I would love to try a reel Reti next to it.
