Got my Upgraded OG VK back today. More accurate 10 turn and ammeter installed. It's running sweet! Can't fade this new dial either. No lock but it dials in so perfect, bumps don't mess it up at all. Sick.

Soon I'll have the Ultimate Battery Pack # 2. Waiting on the case to arrive still I believe. Super psyched!

When I have all 4 together I will post another photo or two.

Thanks @VoltageKeeper this one came out awesome! I can't wait to start the next project!

Hey there, I'm new to everything here and I just got an Underdog due to the amount of praise the log vapes receive here. I don't feel like I'm getting enough vapor, and when I look up videos of people using log vapes, they're getting a ridiculous amount. Granted, their waterpipes ARE better diffused than mine, but I don't think that's the issue.

I realized that inhaling has a lot to do with using log vapes, and to chug slow and start inhaling a little faster once it starts heating the material. However, after the 2nd day of having it, I am getting better hits out of my waterpipe, but still, seems like there's something to be desired. Whether it's that I'm too used to combusting, or I'm not getting enough power into this little guy.

I should state that the power supply for the UD is stock, and it's plugged into a surge protector. That won't make it less powerful, would it? Is the simple answer here your VVPS? If so, can you give me a quick little rundown on how to use it? And then I will consider ordering it!

@forzajuve111 I own many underdogs, and I have experienced your issue twice. Contact Dave, it sounds like an underpowered log. He will test it and fix it if so.

To answer your question further, a VVPS allows for seriously devastating rips, or for dialing it down to its most minimal setting. Depends what you're after. I love bong filling, lung bursting rips, so I won't use a log vape without one!

It's all preference.

Your issue however is not. I would talk to Dave to be sure it's not a flaw in the heating element.

Edit - Dave = Underdog

Have you allowed your UD to warm up for at least 15-25 minutes? Medium ground herb or crushed nugg? Tighter or looser pack? Closer distance to heater tip? Tried different quality herb? Many variables, big differences!

I've tried almost all of those things. I've moved the screen closer, and i saw what looked like combustion, so i moved it a little further away and noticed that the vapor isn't that thick. I am getting vapor, but it's thin. I've tried two different water pipes as well as the direct draw. it really seems like i need to chug it for about 30 seconds before i see anything worthwhile. Used different pipes, the GonG, the Nylon and the glass direct draw, pretty much even results. then only thing I haven't tried is different material, but if I linked a picture you'd notice that's not the issue here.

Oh, and I've had it warming up for over 24 hrs now.

So, it's been a little while since I've given an update. There's definitely been quite a few VK's made since my last post, including the 2nd battery unit I've made so far, though it was pretty much identical to the first, so I haven't bothered with many pictures. I still need to get a picture of a new solid black/clear unit, so far i've only really done one of those, but I'm going to be doing a high powered unit in that style case too.

Still got a few units in the works, two high powered units now, one nearly done and another beginning shortly, 2nd battery unit is already out the door and at least 3 more are in queue, and a handful of regular vks as well. More batteries and such will be on the way soon enough. Still don't have the battery unit on the site, but so far I'm selling them for $100 plus shipping (usually $7 within US) this may change slightly depending on the batteries I end up finalizing on...I've almost been tempted to move to a waiting list kind of thing, but so far the orders haven't been so overwhelming that I can't keep up, well, people haven't minded a slight wait anyway, we'll see...

@exit no worries, he lags a bit yeah, but he is worth it! Also I have 4 units, all customs IIRC, and he has never done me wrong.

I will however bitch at him between dab convos about it for you - in case he doesn't get on here for a minute!

Hey all, I'm still alive! It's been a busy October for me between family visits and trade shows and what not - afraid I'm still a bit behind on a few orders, and exit, I apologize again for the delay, your order will be going out shortly, I'll get you a tracking number tonight or tomorrow.

Has anyone run into a VK which is locked seemingly on the protection circuit? I got two vk's but one won't put out power, just stays on 0v/0a output (it's a works so I can see both numbers).

The FAQ says you should shut it on and off to reset the protection circuit, but it hasn't changed it? I feel like I'm missing something obvious here.

More than likely you are using an incompatible, or bad, power supply. What is your input voltage reading? That's the first position on the switch.

The thing is my non works VK works great and with the same power supply. Both units will read 12.15 on the input but the works one stays on 0v on the right switch setting.

The same power supply and cables with my other VK displays the output voltage when I switch it all the way on and heats my HIs great.

I assumed it would just break if I used the wrong polarity so I made sure to double check it.

When I get home in a few hours I will try the works one with a different psu and see how it goes.

Definitely the circuit board not kicking on, but the screens are. I've already sent a few suggestions over, hopefully it's something silly but it's possible something got damaged in shipping. We shall see soon enough, either way, I'll get it taken care of for you!

Indeed, red is underrated! I hope you got yours working? Let me know!

Also a new discovery: only red screens work in the red case. The red acts like a filter and any other color but red just won't shine through, so if you want a red case, it's gonna have all red screens, I may have to update the site to mention this at some point.

Well I didn't really do anything but it started working all of a sudden after I left it sit on input voltage mode for like 5 minutes and then switched it on and voila!

Here's a photo of my gorgeous red HI. blue is so overrated... ;)

@exit yeah they are all mine. I love VKs, and I kept having ideas. Plus I own a lot of UDs an HIs. VoltageKeeper was cool enough to keep building them for me so..... I kept buying!!

As for color...I have to have them all match... for my OCD. I couldn't do another color or it would fuck with me severely. Not that I don't like the red! I do!
