Well hello and good morning everyone, I hope all is well out there, been busy lately car shopping. I had a Dodge Dakota crew cab 4 door with a magnum V8, had it for a while, got it with 125Kmiles, put another 100K on it and the trans began to hesitate, would put it in gear and would have to wait a few seconds for it to slip in gear, oh I didnt have a good feeling about it and everyone I had talked to said tranny troubles could be very expensive. So I was hunting a new ride, got with my guy at the dealership and told him I was looking for something else, never did I say anything about the trans, they found me a Nissan first, was a crew cab, gotta have 4 doors when you got 3 boys, somebodies bitching about who gets a door, the thing ran good but when I got back to the dealership it was smoking from under the hood, hmmm cant be good. Smelled of burnt oil, sure enough popped the hood and it was leaking oil from the valve cover. That was a big deal, my guy said oh man if you want it we can fix that. Oh hell no, I don't want to buy a problem! So a few days rocked by and my guy calls me up and says he has just the thing, an 02 Chevy Silverado 1500 with just barely over 100K fully loaded, leather seats and everything electric, said an old man had it and traded for something new. 12 years old and only gad 100K miles, guy probably just used it for tooling around back and forth around town to get groceries. I took it for a ride and it drove like a dream, the freaking seats are heated too. I have never had that option, I have never owned a brand new vehicle or damn sure nothing that had heated anything, now I know what that button is for. I got it for $30 more a month than what I was paying and its still under $300 a month! I am not one to go and buy a brand new truck, just doesnt make sense to me to pay $500-600 a month for something you cant live in. My house payment isnt that high and I refuse to pay that much. I really dig the truck and feel I got a great deal, even less than $300 a month and I got a extra 3 year warranty with it! Hell yeah! My kids didnt know who the hell I was picking them up at school. My oldest likes Fords, my middle boy likes Chevy, I told this is a Chevy family and always has been, just had the Dodge cause I was in a bind and needed a truck bad. Now we rolling right!

@Vitolo , @Reflections , @Seren , @LazyIdol , @VANVAS , @GReYAReA , @Snappo I wanna thank you all for your input and suggestions, I really appreciate them all! I like what you had to say and show @Reflections on your second post! I love the wooden card idea and looked into it, seems they are kinda spendy for a 100 they cost me as much as a 1000 do now. My cards I have now are really heavy weight stock and dont bend or fold easy. They are really solid! I love the wood card idea and think they would be the shit but just cant afford the investment on them now. I will damn sure not forget about em, they may very well come into play in the future. I like your wording to @Reflections maybe just change one word and leave one off

@GReYAReA I think you are right, I like what I got the more I think about it too, just a little change can be all something needs to get the POP I was looking for.

@llamaman001 Glad you got you one bro! I will make sure you get the one with the most figure, think I have one that has an eye in it, its really dark, you're not gonna see it at first glance but when you look closely its there looking at you! No matter what I thank you for your business and for the opportunity to do something outa the ordinary for your vapman, sounds like fun, I look forward to your reply with the sizes needed. I feel ya on wanting it snug, I like my shit tight! I dont like a little wiggle in anything, wiggle can turn into a wobble and that can be problem for me and tends to wind up turning into more than just a little wiggle/wobble, damn that I gotta to have it tight! I can get you something right, nice and tight, and could even do you a wong for it too. Get me some info and I will get right on it!

@KidFated. Glad to hear of your interest as well, you know I got to be able to come up with something for it! I love a new challenge! Am getting a feeling about it now, nice!

Got guy sending me a Haze on the way now, seems the pieces I made have a little wiggle in the unit and not such a tight fit. I hate that I didnt have the unit to start with, as I have made several pieces for various units that look great and should work considering all I had was the stem to work from, but when the user gets the stem it maybe a little off. I aint one to toot my own horn, but I can do alot with wood, I love what I do and doing something different is like I said a challenge, you give me the unit and a little time and I will come up with something, you can count on that!

All is well on my end yall, family is good and my middle boy is counting down the days to duck season, he is just now tall enough I think to wade through the water and get to the duck hole, I am so excited for him, went and got an official "First Duck Certificate" just for when he blasts his first bird, gonna take a nice feather from it and glue it to the paper, maybe take the shotgun shell and place the document in a nice framed wall display with the shot shell on it in the corner, think that would be bad ass. Hopefully its big fat Mallard green head and will mount him next it also!

Wish all yall well and hope everyone is doing good!

Folks, while Ed and I are working together on my Haze mouthpiece, let me show you just how awesome the 14mm stem he sent me is...it hooks up beautifully into the whip tubing for my Herbalizer and will be permanently replacing the metal mouthpiece that came stock with the unit. It has got great mouth feel, a nice draw, great flavor, and best of all, it hooks seamlessly with my F-bomb and will function similarly with any water tool that accepts 14mm. Enjoy!

I'm pretty sure it's Amboyna... my blank cracked (which I always knew was a possibility/risk), and like a true gent Ed pulled me this beauty out of his private stock. I believe he was going to use some Afzelia burl he had but eventually went with a two tone Abmboyna.

I'm very pleased he did... it's

Hello and good morning everyone, I hope all is well out there for you all! Wow my truck is the shit, it freaking drives and rides like a dream, I am so happy with it! I even have the little remote door lock and unlock thing, I have never actually had one of those before. I have always had to use a key. I know this truck isnt exactly new, but so far its one of the nicest newest trucks I have ever had. Oh yes I have bought new vehicles before but they were always for the wife, she needs a dependable new car to haul our kids around in, something we dont have to worry about. I think I have bought 4 brand new vehicles since we have been together and they were hers.

@beach bum I am glad you like, thanks for stopping by!

@virtualpurple Hang in there with me bro, we gonna get this Haze figured out real soon and get you up and running with a wooden mouthpiece sho nuff! I am glad you were able to utilize the 14mm wong I thought would initially work with the Haze, thanks for putting it to use and for stopping by posting pics, I love show and tell!

@Caligula How bout it bro, thanks for stopping by, I am so sorry for the delay, got in a funk not long ago back and been trying to shake it off as well as catch up with all the wholesale orders. I am still in the kitchen cooking though and I havent forgotten how big a part you are gonna play in my future, pls hang in there with me just a little longer. I think I was overly excited, too optimistic, was pushing harder and rushing time. I shoulda known better, nothing thats gonna be great just happens over night, it takes time and I shoulda known better. You are still my man!

@Reflections Thanks for stopping by and helping out with @NickDlow thanks for stepping up to the plate! I hope to get that stand done this week but maybe closer to next week before I can fit it in, I hope thats cool and will work for you? You have never been anything but so cooperative in the past and am sure its not a problem but just wanted to let you know where I am at. I am gonna get ya right soon though for sure!

@NickDlow Thanks for your interest in my work and thanks in advance for the opportunity to do something custom for you, it would be as always my pleasure to do it for you! I have replied to your PM so have a look and holla back, lets talk about it!

@Gray Area I am so glad you are happy with all those pieces, they were fun to make and some of the most beautiful I have ever done! You are correct, that is two tone Amboyna burl, I love the contrast that all three have. And the one with the inlay is the shit! Thanks for the kind words and for stopping by with your post and pics, I appreciate ya!

Alright yall time aint standing still here, gots shit that needs doing, hope you all have a great day!

Hey guys and gals!! I'm on the verge of getting my hands on my first custom nano with some gorgeous Amboyna Burl. I'm also getting (5) Amboyna Burl blanks for stems being sent to Ed here. I don't have time to read through 130 pages I'm sorry if you guys could post links or tell me some cool ideas. Ed mentioned something about neat grooves and bands to add flavor. If someone could elaborate or link me to a page explaining this would help a lot. Thank you all I'm looking toward to my first log vape!!

Or you could scroll 6 posts up and find a couple of stems made by Ed (one of them with the stone band) as well as a tool to remove the screen. :brow:

Yes those are incredible!!! Does the band serve any purpose besides looking good?
It gives +1 mana to your vape.

note: ok I'm done with smartass comments, enjoy your upcoming wood experience, but beware, you're likely to call the man for more (I don't even own a stem but I think I've read this entire thread and had many occasions to admire Ed's work and to see fellow FC'ers getting addicted to it).

The bands and groves give depth to the piece. I ordered a 3 inch 18mm WonG with a turquoise inlay with the black wood for the Solo. I will be able to use my bubbler as well as using it for a mouthpiece.

Ed can take as long as he needs to. It will probably be awhile and that's OK. Nobody wants to eat in an empty restaurant, if you know what I mean. Ed is very much in demand.

Can't rush perfection!! I'm well aware of the wait and I don't mind one iota. I don't have a vape to use it on yet anyway lol. But yea I'm getting a hang of the wood scene slowly but surely. Thanks for the help n patience guys

Good morning everyone!

@NickDlow Thanks again for your interest in my work and for the honor of working such beautiful pieces of wood! I have replied to your PM and am just waiting to talk more about it with ya, holla when you are able.

@°k Thanks for stopping by with those kind words bro, I appreciate you taking the time to read up on me and my work! We gotta do something about you not having any of my work, you know all you gotta do is let me know what interests you and I will make sure you only get the best!

@Quetzalcoatl Thanks for stopping by also, you right, not every has stems with inlay, those are not done that often, I do enjoy them but they are some work, in the end its all good!

@CarolKing Thanks for your input my darling, I'll get ya fixed up soon enough, thanks for letting me do some more work for you. I am sure you will be very pleased with it.

@Caligula You my man!

I have been working on EQ parts, got some ready to go to France and Australia, these have never been offered anywhere before, itll be nice to see what people think about them, I hope they are popular. They take a little more time than the simple straight stems, and those couple extra minutes per piece add up when youre doing a bunch of em.

Oh just got the proofs in for my biz cards, tweaked the wording a little, swapped out a couple images, and added the bottle cap, I like the changes alot.
