Cheap High Quality Bubbler

Putin is a War Criminal
So, this arrived yesterday. http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-BLUE-18...847?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item25932d03ff

It seems the slits are just too high up the side of the perc. Oh well, one complete bust out of 4 or 5 isn't too bad...

So, apparently the vendor is going to give me a refund on this piece. So, I guess I will just go ahead and get the D022 after all. Anyone have a link handy? ;)

Edit: Nevermind, found it. http://www.dhgate.com/product/d022-height-10-5-quot-double-chamber-glass/184395777.html#s1-3-7|1027765195

Pricier than it used to be but still reasonable.

I personally recommend PBW because it's non-toxic

PWB it works, safe and cheap!

PBW contains Sodium Metasilicate, if you look at the MSDS sheet, it is listed under HAZARDOUS INGREDIENTS.

And according to ehow:

"Toxicity Classification
  • Sodium silicate is a corrosive substance and exposure to it is harmful. Toxic effects are hypothetical and based on exposure time and concentration. According to the Pesticides Action Network (PAN) Pesticides Database, it is not known if sodium silicate carries carcinogenesis potential. Because it is corrosive, it is possible to suffer from sodium silicate poisoning. Therefore, if exposure is chronic, it could be considered toxic. The effects vary considerably based on the amount an individual is exposed to. According to the International Programme on Chemical Safety, "there are no relevant toxicological analyses for this chemical.”

So I wouldn't exactly call it safe. Simple Green makes the same claim but I don't believe them, "Effective, non-toxic, non-flammable, biodegradable and non-abrasive." on their label. I stopped using PBW because it leaves behind white residue and requires hot water and to be mixed to be effective. Mean Green comes in a spray able bottle and only takes a few squeezes of the trigger.

Is Simple Green a good one for that? I'll look more and check labels.

Yup, that would be it. I was using SG but couldn't handle the smell anymore so I switched to Mean Green. It does work great for detailing cars, just be careful around leaving it on paint for long time, it is a solvent.

Thank you for the rebuke!
So my cleaning afterwards with a citrus dip and reverse osmosis rinse it unacceptable?
Looks like I'm back to white vinegar and baking soda!

Is there any way possible we could get a mod edit on the 1st post on page 1? Idk it'd be nice to have a quick guide put together with buying on dhgate so people like me don't have to constantly ask questions. :p

It'd also be nice to have links to all the sellers and other misc. info to people new to buying this glass. I'd be more than happy to put something together if a mod could edit the post.
I have a better idea. Start a new thread called "dhgate glass" and put links to all current favorites out there. If it needed to be updated later with new pieces, you could just PM me an update OP and I'll paste it in for you.

Whaddya think?

I even use the cleaner to remove any hard water stains on any glass surface, good for those who dont use filtered water and may have hard water use in their rigs. This stuff will turn em crystally clear like AIR!!...............:science:

As Ataxian and myself know, if you want to remove labels of this sort (printed ink type used on most glass) get you some ZEP calcium, lime, rust cleaner, small blue container. It will remove a label in a 20 min span. I use rubber gloves & I just spray the rig down and let it sit for 15 mins and take a piece of 0000 steel wool and after 5 mins it comes right off.I rinse with copious amounts of fresh h2o and then final rinse with distilled and inverted to drain and then stored. I have removed every label that i ever had on a rig........$5.00 at Home Cheapo.....

And I learned something new today, thank you @ou812?.

You got it brother, used to be here a lot but biz forces me to divvy up my priorities and FC forum posts had to go to the wayside for the moment. Im up to about 20 something rigs and only have a Solo, so I like a lot of medium size bubbs w/mounted center intakes for balancing the set up. 18mm tend to be the better rigs for my use, breathe easier, Solo is a bit restricted so they are optimum for me. 18mm GonGs are also my method with this vape. If you dont have any cranberry extract, get some lime juice (fresh or concentrate) a few drops will keep from boogering it up the rig and no problems with flavor, works IMO a bit better than the cranberry, but the cranberry i think stacks a bit beter. Enjoy see ya round:tup:.

Team NO SLEEP!
I just started the D020-d this week and really like it as a dab rig. I should have had some adapters come today to use with my vapes, but looks like USPS delivered to the wrong address another state away... fuck USPS

Can someone suggest an ash catcher with minimal diffusion to use with a jhook?
I was gonna try a d20d, but this seems more ideal
Can you wait until wake & vake?
I had a D020 session then several ash catcher jhook sessions that followed!
Some setups are OK however not great!
The one photo I'll post in the morning is simple even through there is some tornado action!
With a jhook attached I became medicated correctly!
With a vaporizer a large volume water rig is a bit over sized!
If your blazing you may want the volume?
Vaporizing is a different level!

Too much volume? Also do recyclers give you more flavor? Or is it not noticeable?

@various127 I still cant make my mind up on the atomic rig. I feel you on the non functioning stemless part. It also pushes the perc up in the can, I'd prefer it to be lower.

That would be a nice room decor piece , idk about functionality tho .
The MP should be better positioned , maybe at a 45 degree angle .
So you wouldn't have to crane your neck down to hit it .
Or lift the whole thing up to your mouth .
I wonder if it has a carb , maybe the bike seat or the handle bars ?

btw , I've signed up with DHgate .
Does anyone know if DHgate is associated/affiliated with Alibaba ?
