Very much so! How's the flavour through the donut perc?

It seems similar to my JhanPixel showerhead in terms of the large slits...and they help preserve flavour really well on IMO.

I am envious...definitely interested in picking up an EFS piece in the future

Flavor is very good. I'm still playing with water levels, however, so I am sure this will change slightly (for better or worse) once I find the proper fill point.

As for the @EFS rigs, I dont think you can go wrong. Its sort of like buying a Mobious or a MS or something. You just know you are going to get solid design, construction and function... as well as a base the size of a small pizza

It works really nice with a Vrip vaporizer, and it also includes a bowl if we don't like the deward joint.

Years ago when I first started getting into glass I remember the peyote pillar being my "dream piece" that I would never be able to afford... thankfully times have changed

got myself a new incycler.
the bubbles burst around that little wine glass which drains back into the bottom of the tube after looping for an inch on the outside of the main chamber. pretty cool.

you can really see the wine glass draining during the 2nd clear rip, when there's less vapor.

Re: Mothership pricing

Well... I own two Mothership rigs. So I guess I'm somewhat qualified to speak to the subject.
1 - definitely suggest that folks might want to hold off on criticizing the price / value until they actually hold and use a piece. It's not comparable to things like Toro and Sov. Different league entirely.
2 - the quality control on these pieces is truly insane.
3 - clear glass? whatever... the issue isn't the cost of the materials - it's the labor, the time, the skill, the sunk capital costs and the % output that is rejected and being sub-par that contribute to the price.
4 - at the end of the day, they are also great investments. I've owned two other Mothership pieces and sold both for more than I paid (and I paid retail on both).

I've used a MS Fab-Egg. Held it, ogled it, and dabbed from it.

It is VERY nice, but it's also definitely not worth $1200 (if you're lucky enough to find one at that base price, the one I used went for $1800) in terms of function. That much is certain.

You may be able to justify the cost based on subjective artistic opinion, but there is no way an MS piece "works" that much better. As for build quality, I've seen equal work at much less than half the price. In any case, its awesome if you feel the artistic merit is worth the premium, however, I remember when MS eggs were only 3 digit pieces. I highly doubt the difficulty, time, and skill required to make these has increased that much in the year and a half it took prices to increase by 25+%.

As for glass being an "investment"... well, people thought Beanie Babies would be a good investment at one point too, don't forget. I can all but promise you that this is a "fad" and prices are going to level out then decline once the Instagram kids find something new to spend their parent's money on.

And now for something completely different...

Trust me, I understand defending items I have spent big bucks on. I have a few custom knives that I purchased much cheaper that fall into the $3k-$4k range that I tell people are totally worth it due to the materials used and labor put into them. They're really just pretty knives that someone else is willing to pay $3-$4k for. I wouldn't pay that much. No way.

While I believe MS produces high quality glass, it's just my opinion that they charge astronomically too much. Clear glass, sandblasting, and laser cut percs. Möbius does this as well without charging over $1k. Holding and using an MS piece is not going to make me believe that pieces MS produces should go for over $1k.

As far as glass as an investment. No, just no. There is a world of difference between flipping a piece of glass for a small profit and an investment. Glass breaks which makes it a horrible investment. You have an item that someone with disposable income might pay a lot of money for, but with one false move you have worthless glass shards. We're not talking about a handmade antique glass Tiffany lamp shade, which would be an investment. We're talking about a clear glass water pipe.

Really, all that matters is that you are happy with what you purchased and own. While I may not see the worth, you obviously do and are happy with your purchases. Nothing better than that.

guy's this is one debate that will always have two sides. these style of pipes are both tools and pieces of art. As a tool, its an damn good one, but still you can get that for much less. As art, that are copied and mass produced. So as pure art it isn't high on the list.

However, there is a demand for them. They are solid reliable pieces that do everything well. I myself have owned all types and settled on the 3 I like. They will stay in my collection for that reason.

Once there is a demand, supply can now control everything to a point. MM are wise businessmen. Sure the wave with not be for ever, few things are, but they are riding it never the less

what cracks me up is people paying hundreds above retail for used pieces. That is just crazy. It's a main metric that the supply is softer that the demand.
