in this thread you will find random vapor related items for sale as well as instructions on how to create them yourself. basically it is to help others DIY or to take care of it for you if you arent so inclined to do it yourself. either way this thread has you covered. so take a look around and if you have any questions feel free to ask here or shoot me a PM.

the first offerings will be in the form of coils and upgrades for your oil dabbing RDAs. first off is my beloved Diamond Back Coil or DBC. this version of the DBC is the "DBC1". it is constructed of twisted kanthal wire (dif gauges for dif resistances), sleeved inside of a braided (yet hollow) ceramic wicking material. this product is known in the ecig industry as Ready X Wick. this stuff provides superior flavor to any other wick i have tried. it can be torched clean or even cleaned by dry firing your mod until its glowing orange/red. your coil should be returned to a pristine white again after cleaning. cleaning it in such a way does degrade the wick, but cleaning it a few times a week is normal for myself. i keep my coils going for 2 months before i replace them.

*NOTE* that this stuff does not last forever. go to RBASUPPLIES.com for more info/videos on the safety and longevity of RXW.

ok now for the build... you need a 2" piece of 2mm RXW and about 8" of kanthal wire (gauge determines resistance). bend the kanthal wire in half basically making two strands the same length. twist these together firmly however you prefer. a drill can really help you out here. here you see a 2" portion of RXW and about 4" of twisted 32g kanthal.
R6D9rEd.jpg

here you see the wire has been inserted into the RXW.
51J52Vf.jpg

next you want to bend the wick/wire around something very thin like a blunt tip syringe needle. you want something that wont leave a large hole in the center of this coil. to start the coiling you want to bend the wick/wire about a 1/4" from one of the ends and then coil the rest of it. this should leave you with the pic below. my apologies for this blurry pic. i will get it fixed, but you get the point.
Os4kRED.jpg

this is what the bottom should look like. note the small piece of wick hanging out of the bottom from the center. that is the 1/4" section you started with. you want this little section to lay flat against the bottom.
FjHs7yX.jpg

here you can see the bottom of the finished coil. note the small 1/4" section is flat against the bottom and secured by thin kanthal to the other lead. this attachment will also reduce any fraying.
SJkqVSB.jpg

here is the top and money shot of a finished DBC weighing in a 1ohm. these can be made to many dif resistances if desired. 1ohm works great through glass or dry IME. when using these with newbies a 2ohm coil may be desired. lets you be a more liberal with the heat and less chance of burning anything. as stated this coil can be cleaned while mounted in your RDA. simply apply power until she starts glowing orange/red. you will see some smoke coming from the coil. and after that stops it will just be red. let it cool and be amazed at how clean the coil is now. load it up and taste the super clean pallet.

*NOTE* again please note that cleaning these coils does degrade them. its nothing i have noticed personally, but should be noted per RBASUPPLIES.com. as long as you arent cleaning it multiple times a day id say this coil should last every bit of 2 months w/out fail. in fact i know it will last longer, but to ensure top performance i replace mine every couple of months.
IGIYLHS.jpg

next on the menu is a 510 DIY 14mm glass joint adapter for your RDA or anything using a 510 driptip connection. i will post links to where you can secure these items yourself. or i have them available as well.
XFlvaHQ.jpg

as you can see its pretty simple, but damn effective. ill get some better pics up, but until then these will have to do. this combo is really great. it grips a 14mm glass joint and holds my rig in place really nicely. i can pass the piece around with the rig still attached w/out worry. you can use it hands free or just for a quick seal when really dabbing. this combined with a DBC means no need for a torch and nail.
JZ5LHwV.jpg

and then ive got your IGO-W upgrade kits. each kit consists of 2 extreme high temp silicone orings, 3 SS set screws, and an allen wrench for the set screws. The orings destroy the stock IGO orings in every aspect, the set screws allow for more space above the posts for top post mounted coils. i am a big fan of the IGO-W because it is a cheap yet quality workhorse of an RDA. and it can be found just about anywhere.

so there you have it so far. i will update this thread/post when new ideas/items become available as well as better pics and descriptions of the DIY part of it. if for any reason you are not into messing with this stuff yourself just shoot me an PM and i will get you taken care of. i am working on some other stuff as well including a new coil and will update the thread when the info is available. pricing for items is below.

DBC1:
individual - $7
pack of 3 - $18
pack of 5 - $25

14mm DIY glass joint driptip:
individual - $5

IGO-W upgrade kit:
individual: - $3

shipping:
US - $2 flat
Int - $3-5

*NOTE* please note that any coils that contain RXW in them cannot be shipped out of the united states. everything else is good to go. well thanks for looking and let me know if you have any questions!

Yay, so happy you finally got this released. Love the new idea with the crimp on the coil. Im def down to order a few of these bad boys since making them has been a little hassle. Maybe once I see one of yours up close I will have a better idea on making it myself.

*EDIT* The piece of kanthal you have tying it together... thats a separate piece all together, right?

hey thanks!

yes the wire holding the leads together is separate. it is so far the best solution to minimize any fraying from mounting them. i tried some PTFE heat shrink tubing of which worked great, but im afraid as to what may happen if the coil is mounted with the tubing on it. the PTFE tubing has a max temp of 500deg so im wary of using it while vaping. i was going to put the shrink tubing on the ends of each lead and just ship it that way... suggesting to remove them just before mounting. but the kanthal just makes more sense. at least for now.

i think i have found a way to mount one of these on the side of the posts near the deck instead of the top mount. this may be of interest to some depending on the cap/RDA they are running. not all RDAs have the space for a top mount (just guessing here). in fact i had a drip tip that protruded further than normal and i did not realize that it was touching my top mounted DBC and well... yeah it wasnt good. that was on my IGO-L w/ stock cap. other tips were not a problem. looking forward to trying out the side mount.

thanks again!

well, I will need to buy an rda for my ecom-c twist.

It can go to 10 watts @2clicker is this twist stick gonna be ok with an rda? im gonna have you build my coil so I dont have to get all the ohm readers and such. whats your recommendation on rda? ive never had one.

i assume that ecom ctwist is an ego style battery...? what is the OD of that battery?

i suggest the IGO-W. its quality, has a great price, and is available at about any ecig shop near you.

i imagine 3.7v - 10w should be ok for most coils above 1ohm. anything sub ohm wouldnt be a good idea for a 10w device.

sorry for the late reply.

what would be the benefits of going sub ohm and getting a mech mod or high vw battery?

yea the ecom is a stick battery... just variable wattage instead of voltage.

well sub ohm will fire hotter faster, but that is not necessarily better in this case. just a pref for some. i like my coils around the 1-2ohm range.

the main reason for using a mod as opposed to a stick battery is that they offer more power and for longer. plus you can replace the battery if needed. a stick battery works tho no doubt. just sorta limited to what it can push. and most RDAs are 22mm and look sorta funny on a 17-18mm battery. there are smaller RDAs available however.

if you are never going to go below 1ohm then your pen is fine. just dont expect it to last as long as an 18350/18650 cell.

its a 1/2" diameter I mainly got it cause it was inexpensive but allowed me to change wattage... which I now see has been the hang up all along for me and pens.

I cant remember but I think these aero heads are 1.5.... I can get the coils cherry hot and im actually rather suprised by this stick its like 1300mah I think... so nice power reserve.

I will pick up an igo w soon and hit you up for a coil when I get it ordered.

so exciting! I really liked using the aero head like an enail but the flavor sucked due to dirty silica wick. cant wait to try this new wick!

before you buy anything... can the aero heads be rebuilt? if so its likely you could use RXW instead of silica in their heads. that is what i was doing with my kanger heads.

its the same as the old protank heads but it has a sleeve with ... a slot or two holes on each side... basically they just installed a sheild. but yes they "could be" but I did not have success doing it on the protank heads either.

I can snap a photo if you like I havnt totally pulled a coil out of any but the pos post flat slid out of one and I just stuck it back in.

ohhhhh when you said aero heads i wasnt even thinking about the kanger aerotank. for some reason i was thinking aero head was some other MFGs coil head. i can rebuild that coil no doubt. in fact i may be able to incorporate a new coil design to it.

a design i have been meaning to show on here, but havent yet due to more testing being needed, but they work great. basically its a micro coil inside the RXW. i coil it on a very small drill bit and then i sorta "thread" the RXW onto it. coil is completely hidden in RXW. i could def make that work with some 2mm RXW inside a kanger head.

thay way you wouldnt have to buy an RDA. and it would work great on that battery of yours. i would need the heads tho. you could send them to me or i could buy them and re-coil them. something to think about.

would used heads work?

actually I think I do have a couple unused ones... one that came with and one in a blister pack.

yes used heads work just like new ones although i would suggest dissassembling the head, removing the old coil/wick, and soaking the parts in iso before a rebuild is done. obviously the parts can also be boiled.

new heads... old heads... i can build on both.

@2clicker how much for the kanger coil you mentioned in the previous post? I may add it to my order.

did you want me to supply the coil head? or are talking about building on an old one?

i dont currently have any new kanger heads. so i would need to buy them locally or order them online... which may delay your order another day or so.

i suppose offering rebuilt kanger coils is a good idea as well. after i build one ill get some pics of the build up and some pricing.

@momofthegoons, how can i edit the OP in this thread? is there a way to keep it available for me to update whenever i need to?

my main concern was that little white seal that keeps the post in position... I didnt know if those were very "reusable".

I figure you could rebuild it at least once...

but I may just grab an igo w I will pm you either way soon and get the details from you.

thanks again @2clicker this has been a much needed service!

the seal is silicone if im not mistaken. i have rebuilt the same kanger heads over 10 times. you just need to inspect the seals for any damage between cleanings. as long as they arent burning/melting i think they can be cleaned and reused many times.

GOOD GOD!

how many igo w are there?

is there a particular one that might be best for your coil?

that tibet has an interesting space in the center of the 6 posts...

HOLY CRAP! i have been looking for an RDA W/out a center post for a while now!

and its an igo-w in 26mm to boot! i have been considering switching to 26mm equipment purely for more RDA real estate.

my suggestion was for the reg "igo-w" w/out any numbers behind it. but now this one has me wanting! thanks for posting.

@2clicker I would rebuild on my mini pt3 dual coil old version I just don't have any readyxwick. Also do you think a vertical coil withe ejmix juice will work in a mpt3? I am heading home but I may have you add some readyxwick in my order so I can experiment
