My MiniVAP is one of my really treasured vapes and I've owned greater than 20 ... it and my EVO are my top 2 to be honest ... both shine in different areas! (They don't cover all aspects of the vaping experience for me, but my MiniVAP always pleasantly surprises me at how well it performs every time I use it--unless I over-pack the baskets :))

My miniVAP is so sweet and versatile. Trying to figure out why I suddenly want a Herbalizer too. I certainly don't need another and doubt anything will match the MV taste. Like you said, maybe for a different aspect of vaping.

Received my green miniVAP full kit on August 20th from Vapefiend.co.uk (highly recommended). I have nicknamed my miniVAP the HULK, as it fucks everyone who comes into contact lol.

This is my first herb vaporizer (not the first I have tried)|, I took a lot of time looking through the different types available, but I wanted 1 unit that could be plugin / portable with no compromise's that my wife could also use. The price put me off initially, but I saw this is an investment in my heath and wellbeing, hoping over time the miniVAP would help cut down tabacco and combustion (smoking joints). The miniVAP did this in the first session, which scared a lot of people including me, I was a wake n bake till I drop in the wee hours type of guy.

As it was still the school holidays, my family and I were spending a lot of time at the local woods (building shelters, swings, watching for deer / birds, pick nicks etc) and I got to use the miniVAP as a portable. The miniVAP worked perfectly, same as if it were plugged in at home, no compromise.

After around a week I noticed my chest didn't feel heavy, I stopped coughing black tar and I could no longer stand the smell of tabacco. I felt healthy and stoned.

I use the large basket and start on blue and work my way up to red, think I like purple and green the best, AVB is even and dark. There are clouds at every colour and I often inhale too much and cough lol. I did try to smoke a joint with the Mrs on her birthday and all I could taste was ashtray, my body felt heavy and I didn't enjoy the stone, messy and intoxicating.

I cleaned the whip last week in some milk which lost me and the wife a Saturday night lol. There was still some residue in the whip which I then washed out with some ISO but only gained a tiny amount.

I have the decarboxylation kit to try this week and will look into glass at some point in the future.

??? Temp check of two methods of use?? I use two methods, both with the wire basket/capsule snapped into the flexicone. If it makes any difference, the basket is only like 10% full of herb.

1. direct draw with short black mouthpiece.
2. take basket/flexicone and invert in small bubbler. Place mV upside down over the basket and draw thru
bubbler.

At any temp range, method one seems to get the wire basket much hotter. I've been checking with my fingers after taking long hits. The wire basket in the bubbler is noticeably cooler.

Do you experience the same? Any idea why this happens as the basket sits directly in the chamber with both methods??
Thanks

Spent my first week with the MiniVap and am very very impressed.

Initially started off with the Flexicone+ on it's own and found that the first few hits were so smooth and tasty but a little hot on the throat. This is at green or red, red obviously more so. My comparison are my Ascent or FireFly, which honestly is the opposite. That being cooler tasting. The MiniVap wins hands down on the medication factor though, easily.

Up next was the Flexicone+ connected to an PWT via a Inhalater XP GonG Water Tool Adapter, which consists of a tube and glass 14mm adapter. The Flexicone+ tube fits inside the other adapters tube. Between the two, the connection length is about 16". This worked well and eliminated any hotness. Very smooth, tasty and decent clouds. Just decent though, red or green light. Again, medicated beautifully.

Next, thanks to all in this thread, straight to the bubbler using the regular Flexicone, screen inserted, along with basket attached, then cone inserted in my Aqua Labs 14mm/18mm adapter to my bubbler led to perfection. Super hits, nice thick clouds, especially at red, with a strong draw. And holy shit, did I say super medicated?.

This thing is a little powerhouse.

After reading all the feedback about hard drags on the MV I started to get paranoid and thinking if my unit is affected by that.
Since I have to ship a battery to the HQ I'd like to know if it's better to send the whole unit for a check.
If it's affected I managed to get the most out of it anyway.
I never get big big clouds but ABV gets brown.
Concentrates disappear on the liquid pad.
With the flexycone it's easier to drag of course.

Hello fellow Vaporists, I've just ordered my MiniVap tonight, after much research and reading most of the pages of this thread, now I've got to finish reading the rest. I love F. C.
So I'm hoping to be able to contribute to the thread, and get some tips/hints from other members. I'll be awaiting my new device and will keep you all well informed of arrival time and first use, etc..:D

I'm curious as to how many owners of the mini that we have participating in this thread ? anyone? I realize that it's quite expensive, but it looks to be of quality build/components, I CAN'T wait to get my hands on this baby, my only other real world experience with vapes is my Persei for my Oils and the Bender attachment for when I want to vape my flower material and I was able to try the Volcano a few weeks ago and it was pretty awesome which has made me want to move more towards vape from combustion.

Hope to be back here soon with some first impressions and use.

Can anybody post a vid of how to setup a pipe with this vape? I'm not too bright when it comes to these things and need a visual. I want cool vapors but don't want to spend alot of dough.

Also what is the smallest amount this vaporiser will vape?

I am a lightweight and often load mine with a tiny amount. I always use the small wire basket, snapped into the flexicone/silicone cover. Note: you must insert one of the supplied screens into the flexicone recess and then snap in the wire basket loaded with herb. It makes for no mess/ no cleanup when you vape directly from the unit AND for super quick change ( putting loaded basket in water bubbler).

The "module" below from top down is: wire basket, herb, screen snapped into flexicone, and flexicone.
You then invert your miniVAP and place it directly over basket, just like it would sit in miniVAP but upside down

Method 2. Hands free with MFLB connector hose or make your own. IMO, you lose a little more
flavor going thru the hose.

Wow.. Activity on the thread!
Keep them usage reports coming people. The more there is to read only makes it easier for fellow vaporists to take up the MV baton. I think every household should come with one as standard.
I really believe once you taste what the MV can deliver... There isn't any turning back.
I need to make some kind of cradle that will seat my F-Bomb atop the MV so as to allow complete hands free usage with minimum vapor path.
I switch between using my MV inverted into my Black leaf Smoke shower(planet vape.. And highly recommended) I connect it using a 18 to 14 reducer with the Ariser eq whips glass mouthpiece with bands of silicon to shore it up. Then the flexicone fits snugly into the other end.. Or same deal with the fbomb just without the need for a reducer and the eq glass bit merely inverted. Makes reclaim dead easy. Sorry no pics as yet.

There is no reason this should happen, because the basket should be inside the MV in the same way with both methods. The only thing I can think of is not having a tight seal. I'd check that first. Try to see if the silicone around the basket seals with whatever piece of glassware you have. One good way to check this is by taking off the battery/adapter from the heating piece, connect it to your glassware, block the air input of the unit and try to inhale. If everything is sealed well, it should be (near) impossible to suck in any air.
If you don't know what I mean with blocking the air input: it can be as simple as puting your finger on the hole in the center of the underside of the heating piece, where a little screen is. This is where the miniVAP takes it's air from.

If you can easily inhale with the blocked air input, try to find out where that air is coming from, that is where your setup is not sealed well.

As for my personal setup, my basket does not stay cooler when I'm using the miniVAP with glassware. It gets even hotter! But that's just because I can draw really hard and really long, because the glassware removes all irritability from the vapor.

I just received my gold Minivap and I'm impressed with the entire package! I was sad when The Cera makers closed up shop but now not so much.:brow: This vape is neck and neck with Herbie.:D The taste? O THE TASTE!!! :rockon:Plus battery life? Well, I just vaped my 4th bowl and the battery is still showing green! The workmanship is incredible also. a true medical device. This vape will definitely pay for itself quickly because the small basket holds a solo sized amount but the production is phenomenal and since it's all convection the weed lasts longer with better flavor throughout the end. Even the carry case is great! It's fits the Minivap, space case, and my INH05 comfortably. As far as my portables go the Minivap definitely just shot to the top of my list. This thing is just a cool ass mofo!:science:

I hooked up a 510 pyrex glass drip tip to the whip MP and I must say, (Luna, Herbie, T1 also with these tips) it is a lot nicer on the lips then the silicone!

I have been on the fence about this vape for a long time now!
Even have an add in the classifieds, just in case someone sells theirs... As if!

Okay onto the question!
Since we both own Herbie's, can you compare the two?
Heat up time, amount of herb used, flavour, taste, burn off?

I am looking for something classier than the Solo and i like the fact that it can be portable or a desktop plugged into AC power!

And last where did you buy yours from?

@Been Vapin Where did you see that price for the minivap and is it the portable version?

I got a Minivap off of the classifieds here a few months back and have been thoroughly enjoying it. It only came with the wall adapter and I have been wanting to get a battery so I can use it out and about. I have no problem with the $109 price of the battery on the minivap website, but the $65 price for the charging base seems a little steep. Does anyone know of another place where the charging base is a little cheaper?

boristheblade,

lazylathe

Almost there...
@lazylathe VaporNation code still appears to work even though it expired Sept 12. $389.25 shipped. I am in the same position as you @lazylathe regarding the Solo. To buy or not to buy? Ahhhhhhhh. Got my cart ready for checkout. Gonna go hit this Solo and think about it.

Thanks for the other code!!
I used the FC one first and it was 16% off, still not convinced...
Then you posted the other code and BAM! $130 off!!

Guess there is a black MiniVap on it's way to me!!!
:rockon::tup::clap::rofl::cool:

Got to find a better hiding place for that damn credit card!!!
LMAO!!!
