Vapman

Im sure that if one took the time you could cut and modify a oil screen for the volcano vaporizer

To fit in Vapman? With the hole in the middle, thin edges and requirement for no obstructions to closing? I've never tried it (have you?), but off hand I think this is not a trivial deal like in HA, DV, Solo and other vapes that have more conventional load shapes.

I'll stand by for what the Swiss have designed.

I haven't read anywhere that Vapman are planning on selling their own whip @RUDE BOY . The MFLB whip apparently fits a treat though. I haven't tried wax, but I have tried out different types of hash. Whilst some are fine, others make a heck of a mess - so I tend to only use herbs and kief in mine as it is.

Those new screens really are going to make this already superb little vaporiser so versatile. Talking of screens, here are some pics the lovely people in Switzerland just released:

Just wondering, is vapman gonna release some kind of whip attachment (yes, i know it's simple to make my own)along with the concentrate pads ? I'm having my first experience with wax in a bata magic flight maud dib box and don't see how I could handle the hits with such a short vapor path when with a two foot whip on the mfmd is still pretty rough on my lungs.

Is there a half decent way to do wax in the VM without waiting on the screens or does it just make one big mess ?
I use a mflb water pipe whip that fits the vapman.

With those new screens I feel like they are adding some convection effects to the Vapman. Herbs not touching the hot golden plate directly? What do you think guys?

I don't think so. There's no airflow, so it appears to be a concentrate adaptation to me.

I tend to agree with Stu, it's still going to be an oven, baking the goods. A conventional, not convection oven.

I'm a little concerned about spill over (or through) burning on the hot Gold plate. Time will tell there I think.

Is the VapMan Classic worth it for small loads? Anything I should be considering specifically?

I have a Solo and love it but I want to be able to vape small loads without having to turn the whole thing on and wait several minutes. Is the Vapman generally easy to use and good for vaping small loads? Is it easy to get used to using the lighter?

YES, yes, and yes. Really all you need to do is browse this thread. I can tell by your questions you are on the right path here at the Vapman thread. Welcome.
to be honest that is where the vapman excels is on small loads. you will be surprised at how medicated you can get with the vapman. it is an amazing utilitarian style vape. my GF swiped mine from me and i had to buy another one. I love this thing. I have never tried concentrates, but i will with the Vapman.

Hi guys, I'm want to buy a vapman but... I'm a wondering if I should get a normal one (no mica) or a special one with mica ?

The normal sells around 90$ and the mica version 130$ it's almost 50% more money.

Do the no mica version tend to burn (or turning like a piece of charcoal) after several years?

What do you recommend ?

I personally prefer the simplicity and organic look of the basic/pure model. I've had mine over a year now, it's charred - but doesn't look awful, just well used. It performs really well. I'm planning on buying a second one soon - and that will be a basic model too.

You guys are great. I'm new to this site... well... I discovered you 4 years ago but only subscribed few days ago. I feel like in a new town where everybody is kind and nice.

All your answers are way beyond my expectation. It really convinced me not to spent 40$ more to have the mica version (that's I did not really want... I also find the basic model more beautiful).

I'm also pretty handy... actually I built several vaporizer of my own... and my house. The last vaporizer I made was a MFLB. My first vape was with my ceramic stovetop, an aluminum foil and a 2 liter bottle !!!

I'll buy the basic model and maybe will charred like @Mojo did... its amazing, I love wood grain.

one question:

Is the vapman easy to clean or does it develop the same sort of smell and taste that the MFLB does?

Depends on moisture content going in imo

Hi can you please elaborate?

My concern without knowing all the vapman paths is there is some area like the MFLB that you can't really get in to clean so a smell and taste develops.

Less moisture in the bud will leave less moisture clinging to the wood, that's why most mflb's smell IMO, all of mine smell but only if you try and smell them. Vapman is easy to clean the bowl and you can remove stems for cleaning as well. I don't think it would be difficult to clean the middle section with a toothpick or something similar. Keep it pretty dry and I don't see any reason to clean..

Do you guys think a Vapman would be a good addition to my collection that already includes a Solo?

It seems to me that the vapman is great for small loads (which is exactly what I want), but do you guys think it's that much better than small loads in the Solo, so much so that it's worth purchasing this vape? If so, why? (Btw by small loads I mean 0.03-0.08)

This things made for small amounts. If I had to choose between my solo and my vapman, it'd be the vapman. I hate worrying about batteries. (But love my mflb? Explain that.)

As for the smell remember they sell the 'mouthpiece' bit separately so you could always replace it or have two? Also the plastic egg does a great job of containing smells.

Regards to the small loads yes the VM is thrifty but I found it a little unpredictable with really small loads. Much easier to combust and the extraction isn't quite as even. I haven't under packed the VM in a fair while so maybe I'll have another go tonight and let you lot know how I get on.

EDIT- I think I was hasty with this judgement. I'm currently performing a rigorous testing and will report back later :science: initial tests have been positive :D

Regardless the VM is a nice vape, things like the solo etc feel a bit soul-less, even if they are functionally great. I truly believe that something made by hand, by a happy person, carries the positive vibes in it's form. :peace:

I own both the Solo & Vapman & I  them both. They complement one another really well. I purchased the Vapman with the sole intention of using it off grid. It now gets used more often than my Solo around my home & when out & about. If you're after a quick, effective and efficient hit to keep you on the level - you really can't beat the Vapman. They both have their advantages, but IMO the Vapman is up there when it comes to vaping small loads
